Time changes after restart System

original title: clock issues

the date and time on my pc should be set every day because it does not, how can I fix

Hi steve. INA,

1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

2. do you have security software installed on the computer?

Method 1

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you configure the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See section to learn more about how to clean boot.

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

  1. Click Start , and then click run.
  2. Type msconfig , and then click OK.
The System Configuration utility dialog box appears.
  3. Click the general tab, click Normal Startup - load all device drivers and services , and then click OK.
  4. When you are prompted, click restart to restart the computer.

Method 2

If the previous step fails, then you need to check if the time changes system even in the system Bios after the computer restart.

You will need to consult the computer manual to find out how to start the system Bios or contact the computer manufacturer.

Important: Change (CMOS) BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

Once the date and time changes are applied Cisco IPS CLI, they should have been saved. No additional step of "savings" manually is necessary.

Also, have you thought about Configure NTP on IPS server. IPS synchronizes time with NTP server, if there is no difference.

I suggest you contact Cisco TAC and report the problem of equipment.

  • ESXi 5.0 - do not save the changes SD. changes after restart

Try to solve problems with USB passthrough and needing to make changes to the configuration. Whenever a change is made, it is destroyed after a reboot.

After digging around the shell, it seems to me that the system uses local.tgz configuration instead of/bootbank/state.tgz file. Ive brought changes, and each time I checked these files. In the esx.conf file I see that nothing changes on the file local.tgz but it does on the state.tgz file. This may not mean anything, and I could look at this all wrong. I confirmed that backups are spend the hour + 1 min and I made manual backups with the script/sbin/auto - backup.sh.

One thing to mention is that when I do edit and run the auto - backup.sh I see that it lists the changes, and I see that it is what I guess it is in the file local.tgz.

I read a number of different ways to this address, but none seem to be able to help.

I have attempted to copy the file state.tgz on the local.tgz file and change the permissions on it. To restart, local.tgz file returned to the date that was the 13th but the state.tgz file remains to day it seems.

I think I should be able to point just sort the system starts on the state.tgz file but I don't know if this is possible / should already be the case / makes sense given that we use an SD card to begin.

I read in this document http://www.vm-help.com/esx41/adding_files_to_state_tgz.php that if you use an SD card, it will start on the local.tgz file.

    I used this guide http://store.vmware.com/store/vmware/en_US/DisplayProductDetailsPage/ThemeID.2485600/productID.28435970

to see if I could adjust the location of the file... scratch that change does not persist after a reboot.

I think that the only way I could solve this problem is to start on an iso of linux and to make changes.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem or there at - it a way to indicate to the synchronization local.tgz and state.tgz system?

    Thank you.

    I got the problem solved.

For all those who need assistance on this I hope this helps:

Found that when under the configuration of host-> advanced if USB devices are passthrough value, they will not be monitored by the usbarbitrator service. This service allows for the virtual machines to use USB devices.

I could not change it because the system does not update the SD card when configuration changes are made.

    Two options:

Edit the file esx.conf on the SD card

    or

    Re-install ESXi

    I went with option 1.

    used this post

How to disable Passthrough ESXi my conclusions

Ubuntu iso desktop to live starting in the system.

From there on, I was able to edit the files and restart ESXi. This fixed my issue.

System Restore IS NOT the way to remove malware. The reason why you do not see the effects of the malware in safe mode is probably due to the fact that the process for most malware does not load in safe mode, and therefore not active.

Restart the computer in Safe Mode with network. Click HERE. Download Malwarebytes. Update Malwarebytes and perform a full scan.  Choose to quarantine found nothing. Once completed click HERE and download Superantispyware Portable. Run a full scan quarantined found anything yet. Restart your computer in normal mode and perform a quick scan with Malwarebytes.

  • Changed some BIOS settings, after restarting, no visible BIOS on HP Envy h8-1514eo

    Product name: HP Envy h8-1514eo

    Operating system: Windows 8 64-bit

I've been playing with some settings in the BIOS menu to activate the integrated Intel video card and at the same time to disable the nVidia card. I entered the settings menu to start, I think, and the 'advanced options', I chose 'Device Options '. I don't remember the exact path.

In the "Device Options" menu, I changed the following (the previous values are in parenthesis):

    Embedded video: enable (disable)

    Configuration of the PCI graphics:

NVIDIA VGA controller: No bootable (primary VGA device)

Controller Intel VGA: VGA primary (unit Non-boot)

After you save the changes and restart, I can is nothing, only a black screen, see until Windows 8 starts finally. Restart of Windows 8 and by choosing to enter the UEFI boot menu, according to me, it does, it's just that I can't see it. If for example I knocked right 'ESC' key and the 'Enter' key, it starts with Windows 8 new (what I guess, is that I first the "discard changes and exit" which I confirm with "Enter".)

My question is: how to revert the changes I made in the above BIOS as I am unable to see the BIOS menu entries and do not know where to find the options I changed earlier?

    Thank you in advance.

    Kind regards

    Veroslav

Managed to solve it blindly as follows

Hold down f10 during a boot for a while

Assume that "feature" was selected by default.

Has assumed the following file menu structure)

Information System, about, Set Time and Date, apply default and exit...)

    Arrow down to x 4

    Enter x 2

On the next reboot I got the (visible) start BACK menu.

    SOLVED.

  • Firefox unresponsive after restarting my computer after having made changes in the settings of the history and cookies

I have some changes to cookies and erased my story for today... and then restarted my computer... now that firefox does not open... will not respond... should I uninstall firefox and then reinstall?

If I uninstall firefox will be reversed the changes I made with cookies and my story?

If I was to uninstall and reinstall firefox will lose my bookmarks if I do this? or firefox remembers them... so when I reinstall the previous bookmark is too reinstalled?

Is - this Firefox starts when you open first after the computer restarts, but crashes the next time that you try to start? If Yes, then there is a bug in Firefox 29 where Firefox crashes out when the parameter ' delete history closing Firefox "is selected, so that you get an error" running but not responding do not "next time you ttry to launch. In this case, end the firefox.exe process in Windows Task Manager (or restart the computer) and then reset your Firefox Privacy options and UNCHECK the option «Clear history of Firefox closing» See this article for more details:
Privacy, historical settings of navigation and-no-track

If this isn't the problem and Firefox still open even after restarting the computer, then try to boot mode safe of Firefox by holding down the SHIFT key when you start Firefox. If Firefox starts then read Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to narrow down the cause.

  • After travel or time change, capture image downloads new pictures

I do not erase the cards immediately after the transfer of photos to my computer. Sometimes I'll use a card that has files that it contains are three months to one year, but which have already been uploaded to the images folder. After the "spring from here" and "fall back" time changes, when I use Image Capture to transfer images I've done since the last download, it also downloads the 'old' still once, change the time of the capture of an hour and adding a space and a '1' at the end of the file name. I do not change the time in my camera for changing the time twice a year, and I leave winter time in the area where I live most of the year. If I'm living in the same place for more than a week or two, I have sometimes, but not always, change the computer's time (or let the computer determine the area according to its location).

To further complicate things, this also happens if I travel between two time zones. There is in the computer of the images that have been made in Vancouver (Pacific time zone) on May 3, 2015. On May 4, while remaining in Vancouver, I downloaded the files on the computer. Such a created file date shows may 3 at 21:13. On May 10, while in New York City, I downloaded images made in New York on 8 May. At the same time, Image Capture download new images of Vancouver, but shows them as having been made three hours earlier than that shown in the previous (Vancouver) download. Very probably, at this time, the computer has been set to automatically set the time zone according to the place or I reset the area because I was going to be in New York for several months. Below a screenshot shows this.

Of course, this duplication takes twice the storage space. This means also having to spend time to throw the double copies. Or triple copies, sometimes quadruple copies, if the memory card contains pictures that spans two or more changes seasonal clock.

Is there a way to avoid this? If data in the camera exif photo has not changed, why the computer would have any idea that the official time (or time zone) was different?

Thanks much for the ideas you may have.

    Leonard

Is there a way to avoid this? If data in the camera exif photo has not changed, why the computer would have any idea that the official time (or time zone) was different?

Photos will use the time current system as the time to interpret the timestamp on the pictures in the camera.

If the camera time is different from the time of your system, it makes it easy to import, if you set the area of working time in the preferences system at the same time basis as the camera before importing new photos.

  • After restarting windows and then no error in config/system is finally windows starts successfully with no problems quo. __

"windows couldnot start because the following file is missing" c:/windows/system32/config/system.
This message appears at the first start, but when I press ctrl + Alt + Delete, restart windows and then no error in config/system does finally come windows starts successfully without problem usually. I searched on the internet that all solutions are given if windows XP does not start. But in my case after restart only a single window loads successfully. I'm dubious before using the recovery console.
    Please help everyone,
no case I found the solution to this particular problem.

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination? (This includes pulling and buttons power).

These can cause corruption in the file system that must be fixed before you do anything else. If none of these events occurred (or even if they have not taken place), you must verify the integrity of your file system before anything else (especially "try" things).

Never, never, never start with the support engineer technical 'expert' who are hired by Microsoft to implement the KB307545.  You are likely to be in for a frustrating waste of time and might just make things worse.

Always, always, always start with a chkdsk with first error correction.

There is zero logic to start try to copy files to a hard drive with a corrupted file system so corruption of file system must be fixed first using the XP chkdsk program and run chkdsk can solve your problem completely.
Use the XP Recovery Console to check the file system on your HARD drive and fix the problems and then try to start your system - this may be all you need to do.  Or, you are welcome to just start trying things that might work.
Start the Recovery Console Windows using an XP bootable installation CD, or create a bootable CD from the Console of the Recovery XP (no XP media required).
A CD of XP Recovery Console is not the same as the recovery disks that may have come to a store to purchase the system.
If you have any bootable CD to run the XP Recovery Console or that you are not sure what type of bootable CD you have, can create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and don't forget (no support for XP not necessary).
If you need instructions to create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console, we can predict that too (just ask).
After booting into the Recovery Console, you should be in this folder:
    C:\WINDOWS
For each of your hard disk partitions, you must then run:
    Chkdsk /r
For example, at the Recovery Console prompt, enter:
    CHKDSK c: /r
Let chkdsk finish to correct the problems, he could find.  It may take a long time to complete or seem to be 'glued '.  Be patient.  If the HARD drive light flashes, it's something.  Keep an eye on the amount of the percentage to be sure that it is still making progress.  It may even seem to go back sometime.
The chkdsk/r must be completed without error, you may need to run several times until it does.
Remove the CD, and then type "exit" to exit the Recovery Console and restart the computer and the report with your progress.
