timed equipment digital input with usb port and windows

Hello

I have a data bus 16-bit I read in a computer windows laptop. There is a strobe data to tell me when to read the data I want. The STROBE will remain high for 1 time of speech to 10 Mbps (about 1 microsecond) the flow rate is much lower than the speed of the bus. I looked into the usb-6501 but it does not support hardware timing and mark will not work at this speed. Is there a usb device that will do it? Maybe a pc card? FireWire?

Please don't send me to pages on device selection. I looked and I couldn't find what I think I want to.

Thank you

Charlie

Hi Charlie,

The sampling rate overall max for USB form factor is 1 ms/s or 1.25MS / s for a single channel. The box USB-6251 takes in a 16-bit input. For higher sampling rates, you will need to use a PCI or PXI form factor.

    Welcome!

Laptop Satellite A135 in Houston, I bought about a year ago, it was working fine until last Friday. All my USB ports stoped working. I have power to the usb ports, but Windows Vista recognize any tool that is connected to the computer. Only what I get is USB is not recognized, or something like that. The same situation is under Linux (ETCH Deiban), the USB ports does not.

Another thing is touchpad. It does not at all, regardless of it's Linux or Windows. Stoped working in Sunday.
I used the cd recorvery and reinstall Vista, but the problems still exist.

Please tell me what to do with this problem.

    See you soon

    Hello

If the problem persists after using the original recovery media is certainly hardware related issue. I recommend you contact the nearest authorized service provider. They check your laptop.
Sorry, but I really don't think you can do it alone to solve this problem.

  • Can I set up my printer with USB port and wireless?

Yes, you can connect your printer wirelessly to the top and the USB. If you have 1 computer connected to the USB printer, you can also download the software and drivers for computer #2 and wireless connection.

On the printer, you will need to put it on the network (router).

If you need assistance, please be sure to ask. You can connect several computers to the wireless printer, but could only be plugged into the USB cable.

    Hope this helps everyone.

  • Portege R100 - question about the installation of the USB port and Windows problems

    Hello

I just bought a used Portege R100, but I have some problems. Of course the laptop isn't a CD or DVD, player so I tried an external DVD drive, but it did not work. What kind of device I have to install Windows (not an edition of recovery or anything like that, but a whole new windows on the formatted HARD drive)?

I also have another problem: whenever I plug a USB device (I tried the DVD drive external and a USB keyboard) when I start the laptop, it seems to hang. At least, I am not able to type anything more; the keyboard of the laptop is dead (the point where the entrance would still be flashing in the BACK platform, but typing. sth on the keyboard isn't doing anything). It is not normal, is it?

I also tried to get to the BIOS, but I tried various commands (F1 to F12, DEL etc.), but I couldn't access the BIOS. It would be great if someone could tell me the command for it.

Thanks in advance for the help and sorry for the bad English, I'm not a native speaker :)

    · What is the service pack installed on the computer?

    · Do you have any software installed on the third CD burning?

    · Do you remember all the recent changes on the computer before the show?

    1. If you have any software installed on the computer of third-party CD burning temporarily uninstall the software and check the results.

    2. you can also run the Autoplay Repair Wizard and check if it helps. You can download the tool from the link below: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=c680a7b6-e8fa-45c4-a171-1b389cfacdad

  • Compatibility issue with stereo w/USB Port (and radio too) with the "rocket" GB 2

I bought a 2 GB rocket. In MSC Mode, I downloaded a few songs and I went to connect to my Sony MHC GT222 (with the USB cable), and he said "No Media". Read the manual, I found that the MHC can only read on devices FAT16 or FAT32. My question is this:

Can I format the "rocket" in FAT16 or FAT32? Then what? Download a firmware update, update day, then format the device menu?

Or should I just format the device menu? The unit is Sony too, so the same restriction applies.

Oh, and I can plug a 4 GB microSD card in the "rocket" GB 2? When I bought it, told me that it can only support 2 GB microSD.

    Thank you for your time.

I believe that I have found a workaround. Please have in mind that it is a Sony stereo or a USB car stereo.

And remember also that Sandisk did not test compatibility with Sony, and so this workaround might be replaced by a firmware update.

It worked for my Fuze 2 GB.

    • Have a LCD card and put it in the slot. Preferably a 4 GB, 8 GB or 16 GB, if you have the resources. Reasons later.
    • You connect Fuze on a USB port.
    • Under Windows XP, my computer appears a Sansa Fuze removable drive (say: and a removable drive (let's say I the removable drive after the "rocket" is the LCD map.))
    • Now, the removable disk in a directory called MUSIC (usually the "rocket" already done this a when you plugged the micro card) drag and drop all the music files you want to access.
    • Remove the "rocket".
    • Wait so the "rocket" updates the music database.
    • With the USB cable, connect the rocket in the Sony stereo / car stereo. Press Play. The player is available as a silent reader, and music should start playing.

Why the card must be equal to or greater than 4 GB? Because these cards are formatted in FAT32, and these materials are accessible by the Sony with USB ports. Why with a card? Because the Sony apparently are programmed to recognize a player as a SOLID-STATE drive or an adapter for an SSD, not until the case of the "rocket" (not the technical details, but it's more understandable) and in this case the Sony, even once, apparently recognizes the "rocket" as an adapter for one SSD drive, so the internal memory is invisible. A Pro with this is that the "rocket" can be used in a way as a music for personal tastes in the internal memory and music for work in external memory if you have a Sony with USB port in the car or at the office.

  • My HP 14 laptop is not recognizing the usb ports and wifi at startup.

During the last few days I been dealing with the issue that my laptop does not recognize the usb ports and wifi. After several reboots, it works fine. My drivers are up to date, so I don't know why, I'll have this terrible problem.

    Welcome @hildergarn,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome! It is an excellent site to find answers and ask questions. I understand that you have a problem with your Wi - Fi and USB ports on your laptop from HP.

My first suggestion would be to use the wireless network troubleshooting and Internet tool. At the bottom it will ask you questions to help you diagnose the problem.

Please take a look at this great Charter called troubleshooting wireless network and Internet. This document will help you to solve the problem of Wi - Fi.

Have you tried to restore the BIOS?

Have you tried to connect directly to the Modem/Router?

You have uninstalled the driver in Device Manager?

Please try to uninstall the driver in Device Manager by using the following steps:

    • Go to the Device Manager.
    • Expand network adapters.
    • Right-click on all NICs individually.
    • Click on uninstall.
    • Restart the laptop twice.

How many devices you try to connect?

What you are trying to connect via USB?

Are - what you happened to try to use the HP Support Assistant?

Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant, if you not him have not yet tried. Simply download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system that need updated.

Here are other troubleshooting steps that may help too. If the USB device does not appear in Device Manager, then it might be a question of power requirement. Unplug the machine and perform the following steps until the device is detected:

    • Reboot the laptop
    • Plug in and wait five seconds.

    • If the device does not appear, try connecting to another USB port.

    • If the USB device is displayed in Device Manager after you connect the cable to a different port, then uninstall and reinstall the software of USB device driver.

If the device is not recognized in any port, unplug it and go to the next step.

    • Open the Device Manager.
    • Double-click Bus USB controllers,

    • Double-click on a USB root hub,

    • Click the Power tab

    • Click on properties of power supply (if it is displayed).

Devices need that are connected to the hub are shown, as well as the power they have. If the total displayed power is more than 500 mA, remove the devices and use a hub powered.

    • Continue looking at the properties of the power of each USB hub. If the total power required exceeds the total available power for the hub, then remove a device on this hub to a decrease in the number of consumption.

    • Plug in and wait five seconds. If the device is not recognized, unplug and go to the next step.

Please note; Remove USB cables at high speed that are more than 3 m (9.8 ft) in length and use cables at high speed that are shorter than 3 m.

  • Satellite A300 - USB port and fingerprints issue

    Hello

I'm starting this thread that I have problems with my fingerprint reader and my USB port.

I have a Toshiba Satellite A300-C01 laoptop. It was purchased in September of last year. I have not used it much except for the first week I had it, I've been away (Overseas), and I didn't take my laptop with me (I took a former I). There is no chance that the laptop has been used so that I was absent because I live alone and that the cell phone was simply sitting in the computer room.

I started using it again about 3 weeks. Around a week ago, I noticed a pop-up (bottom left of the screen) telling me that a USB port had problems. I put my FlashDrive on the first USB port and at first, it was not recognized. I tried with another flash drive I have and who has been recognized. However, every time I start the computer I get who pop up telling me that there is a problem with the USB port.

I also met a problem with the fingerprint reader. A pop up appears in the lower left side of the screen and say that the fingerprint reader was having problems. Happened since then that the problem with my USB port began to appear. About an hour ago, I checked the Device Manager and the fingerprints fingerprints/biometrics scanner does not appear in Device Manager.

Has anyone else had this type of problem?

What did you do to solve it?

I would appreciate comments that I have no other choice at this time until Monday when the Toshiba support is available (they are available Monday to Friday).

    Thanks in advance,

    Deanne.

First of all, you should try to update the chipset drivers and software of fingerprint. The two you can find on the Toshiba site:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

If it doesn't work you should try to update the BIOS. Check the Toshiba site for an update.

In the worst case, you must reinstall the laptop with the Toshiba recovery disc. So you can make sure if it s a hardware issue or not.

  • Pavilion a6120n: USB ports and slots memory card does not

My Pavilion a6120n desktop computer has worked brilliantly since I bought it. Since last week the 2 front usb ports and 2 unused usb ports in the back have stopped working. My printer is plugged into a rear port and my wireless mouse is plugged into a second rear port and these work very well.

I use usually a USB key for the exchange of data or card reader locations (which have also stopped working). I no longer see memory card icons in the window 'computer '. When install something again the "new hardware found" statement appears, but the driver install always fails. I think it's a software problem, but there is no usb drivers to download on the HP/support site that I can find... so...

Here's what I've tried so far.

Run antivirus software. Full scan & scan memory - no problem

Don't scan complete malewarebytes - no problem

I tried to reboot several times without success.

Catering to several previous = failure restore points

Computer restart in repair = failure mode

Use the repair disk I did = failure

Control the management of the power supply for each usb port see if power was properly routed = ok

Removed the cover of the housing and carefully inspected the cables and connectors.

Finally I tried to uninstall the drivers usb = failure

After restarting the computer the last time that the boot file has failed, and after several hours of attempting a repair, I had to reinstall Windows 7 completely.

Still no usb or memory card function.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thank you

OK, after a lot of frustration and a reflection to when the problem started. I discovered it all started when I installed my new HP Envy 4500 printer all-in-one. It has wireless capabilities, but I installed it via a usb cable.  I just didn't know it would be the problem but I started with this premise.

I got all components usb of the computer (except the mouse at the moment). So I uninstalled all the usb drivers I had on Device Manager.

After restart, drivers loaded automatically and everything works fine now. I see my camera via the connection cable, the work now in sd slots and all the work of the usb.

I left the 4500 want connected and installed the printer with the network provided on the installation disc software. I test printed from my computer and iPod so far, and it still works properly.

I did have to reinstall Vista. Could it have been a glitch in the installation of the software want to through the usb cable? Don't know and don't care at this point. Just happy that everything works.

Thanks for the comments, and I consider this problem to be solved.

  • How to disable the USB port and change DVD drive to read-only?

I have upgraded my Vista Home Premium from window to window 7 Ultimatum. I tried to disable the USB port and and change the configuration of DVD room to read only via the bios, but I wasn't able to do. The bios always the same, whether it was when I had vista.

rThen your question isn't specific to Windows 7, you must consult the manufacturer. You should be able to disable the USB via the BIOS ports. Also, why do you want to set the optical drive as read only? If it is shared? If so, the advanced sharing disk properties, from there, you can set permissions on the drive. • Printer LaserJet 4100: Should which cable I for Laserjet 4100 connected to the laptop with USB port

I have the HP Laserjet 4100 printer. I bought a new laptop with USB ports.  What type of printer cable I need to connect the printer to my laptop? Is there some kind of printer cable adapter, or something else that will do the trick?

I have the same question about my HP Laserjet 1100 printer.

Thanks in advance for your assistance expected.

If I remember correctly, the 1100 uses a cable "C", alias MicroCentronics.  Have never seen an adapter for that one.  On the 4100, you can get a USB to parallel adapter.  They are pretty cheap and available at most CESS (Consumer Electronics Super Store) as Best Buy.  Staples and OfficeMax/Office Depot should also wear.  Online is cheaper if you have time to wait.

The thing with these USB converters is often must 'install' the cable first.  In other words, connect it to the laptop, then wait so he could install, then connect the printer.  Depending on your operating system and if you have correct updates that can be almost instantaneous, and you may not even see it pop on the screen.

Best idea is that since these are obviously not portable machines, connect them to your router via a network card.  I had the 1100 years and used a cheap 170 X.  I know most recent are available which are faster.

For the 4100, see if you can retrieve a Jet Direct 620 unit on eBay.  Probably less than $50 and sometimes even as little as $25.  Stay away from the 600, 510 or 615 cards.  Low or as the 600, they can leave your network open to hackers.  No need to get Gigabit cards as they will be well above what the 4100 can handle.

Now, two of these old devices, processing power and memory can be a problem.  Never try to print documents online.  Save them on your laptop, and then print.  You will probably get communication errors if you print directly from IE or FireFox.

If the 1100 does not die, not even worth fixing.  Put into a Fuser is a nightmare.  The 4100 will probably work for another 20 years if you keep to clean and replace the rolls before they cause jams.

  • Test product with USB Port

    Hello world

I'm working on a project that requires testing in the production environment.

These products have USB Port, and the only way that we can talk to the product is via the USB Port.

The USB port inside the unit under test uses a USB to Serial Converter of FTDI chip.

The problem is that every time when a new branch produced on the tester, windows detects it and takes its time to install the drivers, which leads to a long cycle time. Once the drivers are installed, configure the FTDI chip for the description of the product!

After you have configured the FTDI chip, we configure the microcontroller on the product speaks through the FTDI chip.

Is there another way this communication could be achieved, I mean using any other platform shipped, or if some how the process can be accelerated on windows?

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Kind regards

    "IgnoreHWSerNum04036001" = hex: 01

0403 6001 and corresponding to the ID of the seller (hex) corresponds to the product ID (hex)

I used this hack successfully on test machines that go to USB FTDI serial front controller.

    Edit:

As a side note, if the device is plugged into a different port, Windows will "load drivers" and give it a new COM port.  Take care, he still has the same physical connections and verify the port assignment after replacing the USB hubs, etc. of power failures.
