Title bar - adjustable text color in Win8?

I read all about the change of the color of the text in the title bar on Win 7. and change the text size in Win 8 and change the background color of the title bar Win 7 and 8...

But you can change the COLOR of the text in the TITLE BARS on WIN8?

Any help is appreciated.

Yes, I would like to see this feature applied to a patch. I've changed the style of "desktop" so that the title bar is black. It fits well in my photo editing software. When a window is active, writing in there goes that I can't change writing in white...  Come on Microsoft, I would like to customize my experience how I like it. Customization is essential for a happy user experience.

  • Firefox color title bar non active windows 10 color

    I stopped using Firefox, even if I like it because when it is the Active window in Windows 10, the title of Firefox bar stays gray instead of lighting upward with Active Windows 10 color I selected for the operating system Windows 10. I am aware of the Firefox themes, but I do not want the module. Themes, such as the default Firefox title bar, never change color to indicate that it is the active window. I sometimes Firefox several windows open and she becomes confused when all these gray bars at the top of windows Explorer are all the same color when I need one that is currently active stands out compared to all the others. My 2nd favorite is browser Chrome and this beautifully if unfortunately I use Chrome now. I hope that Firefox will change their current practice of "painting" on by default, the active title bar set by the operating system with a static gray bar and let Windows set the Active window apart from all others! Then I will return happily to use Firefox as I have for many years.

    I found a solution that I thought I'd post here in case others do not like the title bar gray of Firefox. Is to create a folder in the AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\{filename}.default region and create a folder called Chrome and a file inside this folder called userChrome.css. Once I pasted into the code and saved the file and restarted Firefox, when it came to the title bar is now picking up reflecting the color of the active window, I put for objects window Windows 10. I don't know if there will be repercussions because of this, but. If anyone is interested, here is the link: http://www.askvg.com/tip-get-colored-titlebar-back-in-mozilla-firefox-in-windows-10/ it's really too bad Firefox chooses hide the default color of Windows for the active window to help distinguish this window of all the other windows (inactive). I would like to know the reason for this decision and why I resorted to hunt her down, creation and installation code to achieve what should be the default behavior. Disadvantage of 11/09/16-one UPDATE that I've noticed with this approach is the tabs do not easily distinguish without borders/lines/plan and the color of the tab is the same color as the window title bar active Windows. To improve this, I used an add-on, I used before but had stopped using. It's called colorful tabs and it does the job to change the color of each tab, so they stand out against the background color in the title bar.

    Thanking in anticipation.

    You can do that on Windows XP. Your second screenshot comes from Vista and there you can have it like that. In XP you will always have the title bar as shown in your first screenshot.

    Hi David,

    For now, try to update the display drivers and see if it helps you to solve the problem. Drivers are updated occasionally. Windows can update automatically, or you can install the drivers updated yourself. It is important for you to have confidence in the updated drivers that you install. Windows warns you if it detects a suspicious or dangerous driver, you should not install.

    You can visit the article provided below to update the drivers. If in the Device Manager, it stipulates that drivers are up to date and then try to update the drivers from the manufacturer's website.

    Download and install the drivers

    Keep us updated on the issue and we will be more than happy to help you.

  • Colors of the active & inactive title bar changing by themselves?

    Hi all

    At my work we use Windows 7 Professional but work from servers. I think our facility's Workspace Manager.

    In any case, we have no right to customize anything so we all have the same exact configuration. It's all together by the IT Department.

    Recently, I got a new machine, and since then, my active and inactive title bars went weird. Don't really care about the color they are however so dark that you can't read the text.

    The problem is that is not evident in all areas of windows. Only in 2 programs that I use and it is not the title bars that are the problem, it is the selected lines and not selected. Our IT Department is unable to understand it. It is not the programs because they do not have the ability to customize.

    So, every morning I have to go to Customize > window color > Advanced appearance settings and change the colors of the Active & inactive title bar that fixes it.  (HE allowed me to access it!) But when I log in the next day she goes back to the stupid colors. It's driving me crazy.

    It's not even the default color of windows. Also if I connect to another computer it is not affected.

    Does anyone know how to fix this? Please, I beg you!

  • want to title bar of FF to get the color... just like you bird 38 on Win10 1511

    Just installed Win10 1511, and finally, the title bar of the active window gets coloured again (if you turn it on, I did immediately).

    Thunderbird 38 colors the area behind his legs and the background of the inactive tabs, leaving the active tab with a white background.

    Firefox 42 has resulted in some way a real title bar which appears once again (Yes, tweaking active browser.tabs.drawInTitlebar / disables it) and the title bar is the right color when active, white does not, but lie beneath the tabs.

    I like the behavior in Thunderbird 38. How he do in Firefox?

    Kept looking. I've tried various keywords. Finally found the solution.

  • "Title" bar continues to change color

    The "Title" bar continues to change color. I don't mind above all this except that one color is green and I hate this color!

    Is it possible to change this behavior?

    Hello

    I took a screenshot of my title bar in Firefox (Windows 7) and it marked with an arrow below. I think that is what changes the color on your machine?

    In Windows 8, the color of the bars title in all applications is determined by the operating system not Firefox. This varies according to the theme of your operating system, but by default, it is a kind of 'average' colors sampled in your background. This replaces the Aero translucent look of Windows 7.

    So detestable green color is most likely taken from your screen background image. To get rid of him the best bet is to change your background.

    If you wish to override the settings for Windows, you can try a Firefox theme:

    https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/themes/

    Or you can change the color of the title bar with the code to userChrome.css

    Also, see this MozillaZine forum thread:

    I hope this helps.

  • Can I change the application title bar color?

    With a number of open applications and windows a standard color grey silver it can be quite difficult to quickly locate a title bar to move a window.  I don't see any option in system preferences to change the color of title bar.  Can it be done?

    OS X does not have this facility.

    You may be able to find a third party extension that can do the job, but my advice would be NOT to install this software.

  • How to get the bar display of title in pixels text length?

    Hello

    Does anyone know how to get the length of the title bar text (in pixels) display?  Just to clarify, that's what I'm looking for:

    I don't see a CVI function for this.  The attribute ATTR_TITLE_FONT for GetPanelAttribute (...) is only valid for the panels of the child which prevents me from using the GetTextDisplaySize (...) to get the size.  Dive into the Windows SDK I can not even find an answer here.  Any ideas?  Thank you.

    Figured out how to do this.  Go to the SDK to get the font properties - is kind of nonobviousness.  But once you have the font properties, you can create a font of meta in CVI, with properties, and once you have the meta font you can use GetTextDisplaySize (...) to get the size.  For any future reference:

    //define a NONCLIENTMETRICS structureNONCLIENTMETRICS ncmtest;//We have to set the cbSize parameter to the size of the passed structure before retrieving it
    ncmtest.cbSize = sizeof(NONCLIENTMETRICS);
    //Get NONCLIENTMETRICS structure
    result = SystemParametersInfo(SPI_GETNONCLIENTMETRICS, 0, &ncmtest, 0);

    //copy the title font name to a c-string
    while(ncmtest.lfCaptionFont.lfFaceName[i] != 0)
    {
        thefont[i] = (char)ncmtest.lfCaptionFont.lfFaceName[i];
        ++i;
    }

    //null terminate
    thefont[i] = '\0';

    //create meta font with title font properties. lfWeight & 0x700 indicates bold. CreateMetaFontWithCharacterSet() doesn't recognize DEFAULT_CHARSET so we replace it with VAL_NATIVE_CHARSET(?).
    uir_status = CreateMetaFontWithCharacterSet ("TheTitleFont", thefont, abs(ncmtest.lfCaptionFont.lfHeight), ncmtest.lfCaptionFont.lfWeight & 0x700 ? 1 : 0, ncmtest.lfCaptionFont.lfItalic, ncmtest.lfCaptionFont.lfUnderline, ncmtest.lfCaptionFont.lfStrikeOut, 0, ncmtest.lfCaptionFont.lfCharSet == DEFAULT_CHARSET ? VAL_NATIVE_CHARSET : ncmtest.lfCaptionFont.lfCharSet);

    //get titlebar text
    uir_status = GetPanelAttribute (panelhandle, ATTR_TITLE, thetext);
    //get title bar length
    uir_status = GetTextDisplaySize (thetext, "TheTitleFont", &height, &width);

    I have a 79 for the duration of the screenshot above.

  • How to change the color of the title bar on an application?

    Original title: Windows title bar

    I use Windows Vista Ultimate on a Sony Vaio. I've customized my Windows Vista Basic theme so that my title bar was black. I don't know what happened all of a sudden today. A program called HP Update did something and the title bar changed suddenly light blue and I can't change it back! Everything was fine before. Help!

    Hello

    In native mode, change the title bar, you do not use the Vista theme. Check under personalisation/themes to see if updating is returned to the system in this mode. If so, change it to a standard theme. Once in the standard theme, you should be able to change the color of title bar (and others) in the classic appearance properties.

    If you are using a count of third-party product to change the user interface, you will need to consult with the support for this product.

  • How can I change the color of the title bars in Outlook and word?

    In customization after choosing a theme, it gives you the option of the window color and appearance.
    It is said that colors and sizes selected here apply only if you use the Windows 7 basic theme or the theme of access facility.
    However when I change the colors, it does not apply to the suite office (outlook, word, powerpoint, etc...)
    If I use a high contrast theme, it changes the title bar, title bar active...
    If I use windows 7 Basic is not?
    Is there one way other than the themes of high contrast, choose your colors for the task/title bars on of office?

    Hello Robyn B,.

    Thank you for visiting the Microsoft answers community.

    Some of the available color & size options are not available because Windows 7 Basic is a theme and will replace some of the items you choose. If you choose Windows Classic, it should allow you to change these colors and sizes in the window color and appearance UI.

  • How to change the color of the title bar?

    Hi @all!

    How to change the color of the title bar? I want to use color.black, not blue? who can tell me, thanks!

    If you change your theme of "Bright" (default on the Z10) 'Dark' (which will default on the Q10) all the bars title will change to black. However, be aware that all components of Cascades will change the bright theme with the dark theme, such as the buttons change to light gray to black.

    See example on this page: http://bbcascades.com/index.php/ui-features/design/42-theme (note this is an old screenshot, I should update to have the bright theme with the new blue header bar)
