  Farm Mac if it is not already. Once you press the power and the Mac starts to initialize press command and R at the same time. If done correctly you should be brought to a screen of OS X Utilities. At the top of the screen, click utility then Terminal. When the Terminal window type resetpassword and a window will appear. You will be asked how much the account is on (most likely 'Macintosh HD' in your case), select the account, and enter a new password and a hint.

  Note that this will not have access to her trousseau, but because you will delete the account, it is more likely won't matter anyway.

• Redirected at sign in New York Times (and a few other sites) and Firefox will not remember login username or password.

  I had the same NYT years account and I got disconnected somehow. When I try to read a story or a sign on my account via the home page (upper right corner sign in button) I simply redirected to the home page with the same sign in button, normally it displays your user name. I tried everything erase the cache, cookies and a full and clean re - install, twice. I called the New York TIMES, and they are totally perplexed. Computer is protected by a firewall and antivirused, no viruses known etc...

  I solved the problem. It turns out that there was a problem with my anti-virus software, which involved a filter cookies that had to be put off. DOH!

  Will the Administration of the workspace (the user with the key icon)-> manage users and groups-> select user-> Change password.

  I'm troubleshooting an issue I have with the latest version of HP SimplePass (v. 8.01.27) 8.1 of Windows and Internet Explorer.

  For some websites after you have signed in, I don't get the prompt to save the password.   Is this normal behavior for the application of SimplePass?

  Can anyone confirm whether or not SimplePass is suppose to work on all the Web sites that require a login username and password?

  It's frustrating, isn't it?  One might think that there is a definitive answer to a simple inquiry.

  There may be such a response; I doubt that you will find it here.

  In particular, the 8 HP SimplePass serial code could be a simplified version of a program written by Softex (Omni) that is provided to the markets of the company.   This is a personal observation based on nothing more than a guess.

  Assuming for the moment that it is indeed the case, the full blown, Enterprise program (for which companies pay a lot of money) can indeed operate differently.  The algorithm used to detect Web site connections can be written differently and may be more sensitive to the many different methods that use some Web designers to integrate the username and passwords in a Web page.  It can even possible, given a fuller, more intellgent program, we could use an identification code of the user and the user name.

  More simply put: I guess HP SimplePass program version is "only so smart" and that the code used to read the opening of website code is not smart enough to read a limited number of methods of login Web page.  If the site departs outside these methods or if there are errors in the Web page, and then poof!  HP SimplePass fails to read the Web login page.

  Yet once, these statements are entirely based on conjecture and assumptions.

  You can "Switch" series; You cannot "downgrade".  The programs are "hostile" to another.  You must remove the 8 series before installing the 6 series.

  It there is no guarantee, no matter.  Many computers, laptops or desktop computers, can run 8 series or series 6.  If yours is one of them, is something you can decide to try.  Joys and constraints to be your own boss and everything.

• Consumer Cellular: Data and MMS does not

  I have a brand new Moto X, and when I called consumer cell to activate it, says tech support person she had never been able to get a motorcycle X to work with data from the se network. Is not encouraging, but I have trouble believing that there are No bike X users out there using cellular consumption. I found a post on another forum and I tried settings there, without success.

  Please, can someone tell me where I'm wrong? I have the box checked next to "enabled data: enable access to the data on Mobile network". Are there other settings that must be set at a certain way?

  In addition, whenever I change the settings of the AFN ConsumerCellular under the names of access points, I hit "Save". I have then turn off my phone and power immediately to the top. What is the correct process?

  Someone at - it APN settings that work for a Moto X on cell use? For any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated!

• WINDOWS 7 UPDATE OCTOBER 12, 2010

  I installed 32 MB update this morning and went through the process of installation without any apparent problem, my pc offline after the update and then rebooted and continued with the installation. Once completed, the pc asked me to restart, I did. I can reach my login username and password OK, but after you enter the information I can get a blank black screen. Has conducted an audit of F8 disk and filesystem is very good. tried to reboot several times and still get the blank black screen. Tried to leave the screen for 30 minutes, but no difference. These updates are sometimes more trouble than they are worth.

  I downloaded Norton 2010 on the site of Norton after the purchase of the PC. It was not preinstalled. I have however managed to successfully start the PC last night by selecting F8 road, then the last restore point who was a week old. It will be needless to say that, some time before I download an another MS update/Fix. Thank you for your help. /
