TMS - update meetings

We recently made a change to all of our video systems managed by TMS, allowing to allowing incoming SIP URI composition. I want to update all meetings on hold so that the direction of call setup becomes a reflection of the change. Is this possible?

Thank you

RF

It is not possible to mass update the conference etc. settings in MSD.  However, it may be possible to disable the option of outbound dialing on endpoints and then run "Conference Diagnostics' located under administrative tools > Diagnostics for then automatically fix the mistake of routing created by clearing this option.  If this does not work, you need update entering each conference by one to invoke the call.

tmsng db contains all meetings scheduled, which was planned until you tell people don't not to plan more due to the upgrade. ;)

I run sql server on virtual machines and tms and just take a snapshot of the two just before upgrading. Have had no problems with upgrades for which is scheduled meetings.

  • Automatic software updates of TMS

    Hi all

I'm under Cisco TMS 14.3.1.  You can successfully download the software updates

    https://TMS-update.Cisco.com/webservices/product/v1.0/software/SoftwareService_ES

However, it seems that the latest version of the software he can find for C20 is TC6.0.1 so that I can see that TC6.3.0 is available on the Cisco web site.  Is there a problem with software Manager or it drags behind the Cisco download site?

    Thank you

    Eli

    Eli-

Take a look at this doc from Cisco, https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-31882, section 3.  I don't know why TMS does not see the most recent version of the software released, but the TMS will not automatically download for you as in the past, you will need to do this yourself now with how they changed the procedure of payment for the new TC software.

  • Verification of updates TMS does not occur automatically

    Cisco dear community,

    I have the following "problem":

We now use the TMS 15.0.1 - until we have an old Version 14. I have the following problem:

Normally in the TMS under systems > Navigator - if I go on my unique endpoints in the list it shows me automatically if there is an update to software that is necessary, or if the contract runs out and so on. Now with the new Version of TMS 15.0.1 all my extremities appear under service contract > status > unknown. If I go on "Check for Updates" it takes a while, and then he shows me for example "new Version of the software", as well as the status of the Service contract. But after a while, I click on the same endpoint and it shows me once again to 'unknown '. So now all my Don t of show me endpoints automatically if there is a new Version of the software, or if the contract runs out. This has worked well with my old TMS version 14. You have any ideas if this is a known bug, or if I change some settings?

Under administrative tools > Configuration > network settings > automatic software update is the following game:

    Automatically check updates: Yes

    Service URL: https://tms-update.cisco.com/webservices/product/v1.0/Software/SoftwareS...

Web Proxy address: Here is our set of Proxy

Also think it helps if I update to Version 15.1.0 which was released mit December?

    Thank you very much!

    Best regards

    Luise

Try to go to administrative tools > Configuration > Network Settings and turn the "automatically Check for Updates" on Yes and click on the "Save" button.

If it is already set to Yes, turn it no. first (and save), then back to Yes (and save).

  • TMS - add a mistake to endpoint systems

    Hello

I am trying to add endpoints Polycom HDX 7000 HD in my TMS, but I find some problems.

    (1) the hardware is recognized and connected, but in the end, the process of adding the following message is displayed:

System already exists under a different system of TMS; Updated but not added to the file system.

    (2) locate the device with 'systems - Purge', I remove the material and try to add one more time, then the message:

The start tag of 'meta' on the position of the 20 24 line does not match the end of "script" tag Line 22, position 7.

I wonder if this equipment is stored in another place, in a different database, or I have to perform another procedure of

    exclude them completely the system.

    TMS version: 13.2.1

Polycom Version: 3.0.3 (other material from the same version are added)

    Hello

I found a bug on this. Here is the workaround

    Workaround solution:

    * Install endpoint HDX HDX 3.0.3.1 version at least

Disable the setting "Select lists of Session" on the Polycom system (since the local interface, go to system > Admin settings > General settings > Security > security settings.) From the web interface, go to settings Admin > settings > Security > security settings)

Please let me know if it worked.

  • Download the Software Package TMS

We have problems with TMS a customer, in which case since I use the new download location for Cisco, the files are not automatically downloaded by TMS.

    The used location is: https://tms-update.cisco.com/webservices/product/v1.0/Software/SoftwareService_ES

When you run a process of ' Check for Updates ', this is the result of the activity log:

The process completes successfully, but the new software files are never uploaded. The machine has internet access and browsing to the location in a results browser in the test page is not displayed correctly.

Is someone having a similar issue or found what was wrong?

If it of TC 6.1 software and more, check out the following document, section 3.0.

  • The implications of Cisco Telepresence server operation mode

I have a CISCO Telepresence server that is currently running in mode managed locally, if change you it remotely and add it to my TMS, will I lose all my permament locally created conference rooms? (be they get deleted?)

    Thank you!

HI Douglas.  TS blade didn't need to be mode remotely managed so that it can be managed by TMS.  This mode is used for the management as a conductor Telepresense.

When it was presented, was 3.0 TS.

    Release notes:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/Telepresence/infrastructure/TS/release_note/Cisco_Telepresence_Server_Release_Notes_3-0_2-24.PDF

Page 2 pretty much answer your questions here.

If your not using a conductor or by using your own program API to use TS in this mode, its better to leave behind in managed mode and add the system to MSD and leave it that way.  This is the normal operating mode if you use the TMS.  Let in managed mode locally, add it to the TMS and you can book etc. against it using TMS meetings.  If automatic discovery is enabled in TMS, permanent meetings should appear in the CCC.

    I hope this helps.

  • Update codec C20/C40 cisco to 6.1.2 meetings lost contact with cisco

So I improved a few Cisco C40 codec C20 5.1.6 to 6.1.2 the process was smooth.   He updated the device of the codec and cameras, but once the upgrade has completed, the touch screen of cisco lost all meetings.  Is there a way to put all meetings (from outlook calendars) of cisco press?

A mixture of CUCM and TMS is not really possible.

In any case, which concerned the TMS, can you set a password for the admin on the endpoint and then add this

password under the connection tab in the Navigator system of this endpoint.

After that do a force refresh and apply management settings and see if the meetings will appear again.

As TMS pushes this information, it would be the correct symptom do not show this info when

There is a communication / authentication problem.

I had similar problems yesterday when I updated to 7u51 (with TMS 14.1.1).  I rolled back to the previous version, I had installed and it worked fine.

Pursuit of the investigation, it seems to happen due to new security measures in the new version of Java.  You can move with the latest version of Java 7u51 by adding your server TMS in the security exception list:

    (1) Control Panel Java Open

    2) click the Security tab

    3) click on the button "change the list on the Site."

    4) click Add and type the URL of your server TMS in the location area (IE http://tmserver/tms/)

    (5) to continue beyond the warning about sites http if you use http instead of https

    6) click OK on the control panel

Then you should be able to hit the Java pages in TMS without any problem.

  • TMS - automatically check updates question

    Hello

I tried searching online but that isn't a direct response to this problem, with what I am currently blocked, he has been mentioned here https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/11251221/telepresence-managem...

I have followed the instructions but still have the same issue where the MSDS cannot automatically download new software.

    My TMS version is 14.2.2

When the automatic software update is set to Yes, TMS tries to download the software and then I got an error message (see below)

    Event log
    29/04/2016 14:25 - created event
    29/04/2016 14:26 - events executed by XXXXXXXXXXX
29/04/2016 14:26 - check for software updates began. Connection for the update service.
29/04/2016 14:28 - checking for updates failed. Please see the logs for more details. Note that MSDS must have access to the internet to communicate with the software update service.

The server is connected to the Internet, even when you try to use a proxy TMS still can not download a new software.

Someone else maybe solved a similar problem to mine.

    Concerning

Starting with TC6.1 and later, TMS will download is no longer automatically TC software, this is due to a change in the verification procedure and download of these versions of the software.  When the new TC software is released, you will need to log in to Cisco.com and download the software yourself and then transfer it to your TMS servers.

  • TMS connects to the endpoints, but is not able to update

    Hi all

I added our Tandberg profile on the MSDS management server endpoint and inserted the address of MSDS in the menus of the endpoint.

In TMS I can view all the endpoints and their parameters, but when you change these settings I get the following error message: "could not update all the parameters. Details: hostAddress: [ip endpoint], description: GetDocument Failed. URL: http://[parameter] / putxml, base exception: the remote server returned an error: (417) Expectation Failed. »

I tried several ways of connections and also did not find any solution on Cisco's Web site, so I hope you can help me. All devices, TMS and endpoints are in the same network.

    Thank you

    Ben

First advice would be to upgrade your video network components... TMS12.1 and TC2.1.1 are quite old now! But if you want to try the solution I gave you, add the block at the end of the file, before in order to get something like this:

    ...

    ...

    ...

Then, save the web.config file and a control box, run iisreset to restart the web server.

And as said above, save a backup first!

  • Problem of update of the directory between TMS & Polycom (HDX, VSX)

    Hello

We have deployed MSDS and other cisco devices in a business.

The company already has several devices of Polycom (HDX (3.0.5), VSX (8.5.3)) and we connected those to TMS (14.3.1) for the Organization of directories.

Everything looks very well, we were able to see the directories of TMS on Polycome devices

However, the question comes out when we update the directory.

Any change of MSDS, these devices of ploycom updated their own changes meaning TMS and devices of polycom is interoperability.

But when it comes to avian (GDS) directory, we find no changes to this directory, even its own changes.

And these changes are correctly updated for Cisco devices.

    For example,.

    We have 1 HDX, 1VSX, 1 SX20 and MSDS.

We changed the names of these three system with TMS.

You could see the name changed in the information system on all devices category. (Even devices polycom names have been changed in this category)

But if I go to GDS (Global Directory) in Polycome devices, there is no change. It comes even as before. (Even the name change itself)

    I want to ask:

    (1) why this has happened?

    (2) what can I do to fix this?

    Reference the following default:

Currently, we have two telephone directories that "import us in TMS' of their source of the telephone directory, but you want to change the settings for"Search only"due to the length of this particular directory.  I know that rather than display all entries in the phone book in a huge list like it does when it is set to import, to search to pull up to the entrance they want.  In what way, if any will to change this setting has no effect on demand conferences that use this particular directory if it is set to import or search?

    Thank you!

If the directory is set to "Search only", you will not be able to use these contacts in regular conterences.

    * UPDATE *.

You will be able to add the contact to the conferences, but TMS will display 'Entry deleted directory' for contact when go back watch the Conference. TMS also displays a warning if you view the connection tab for the routing of the call of the Conference details. I confirmed this today, and I filled a defect with regard to this. • schedule meetings with the TMS and CTManager on the same endpoint

    Hello everyone

I explain my problem, we have a CUCM with CTManager to plan meetings of the CTS, we have 2 VCS with a TMS to plan meetings of TC endpoints also.
Our TC end points are saved in venture capital using H323, recorded in CUCM using SIP and exchange of email to can program using the CTManager. And TC endpoints are supplied by our TMS.

As endpoints of TC may appeal to the endpoints CTS sometimes we have meetings planned between TC and CTS endpoints in the CTManager, but if schedule us a meeting by using the TMS, meetings of CTManager disappear and endpoint show TMS meetings, if we do a resynchronization of the electronic mail room in the CTManager We can see again in the meetings of CTManager in the touchscreen.

We tried not to allow bookings for this endpoint of TC in the TMS, but later there is no way to schedule a meeting for this endpoint, even using the external call.

You know any workaround solution to activate the two calendar options running on the same endpoint without removing the CTManager meetings? We don't need the BBFRR for the TMS meetings, only for meetings of the MLC.

    Best regards

    Hello

Disabling power of the TMS write calendars 'Meetings' on managed systems is not supported. If an endpoint is added to the TMS, TMS assumed that endpoint is not used in another system of planning (such as CTS - man) and could replace any parameter that depends on the other system of planning.

    Kind regards

  • TMS servers and Windows updates & patches

In our announcement, GPO forces automatic application of Windows and restart automatice updates.

I want to know what Cisco recommendation for server various TMS (Server SMT itself, SQL server db and server TMSXE) about windows patches, updates and automatic restart.

All the patches/updates and rebooting suitable textbooks or can it be automatic?

After my experience with related MSD and MSD products... that is about 7 years old now... it's rare to see a MS fix cause a problem in one of the applications, and if we did, we would certainly have a technical alert off topic ;)

However and of a TI maintenance point of view, do you want to really make the automatic updates that require a restart of server on servers that are now service of manufacturing such as TMS, TMSXE, TMSPE, etc.?

Meaning... and putting my hat IT... It's something that I wouldn't recommend. I would stick with doing it manually during periods of planned maintenance server for example. In fact, this kind of surprises me that they put a GPO like that on the servers, especially on the associated service servers.

At the end of the day, and IMO, is not a question so much on what Cisco recommends but "IT 101' common sense. For example, you mention the external SQL Server but our databases are just 'residents' on this SQL Server... which may include the other dbs application... which means once again, you really want a server like this comes automatically restart? I don't think ;)
