  • 'system' process in the Task Manager running @ 50 to 100%

Just reinstalled xp family and for some reason, the 'system' process in the Task Manager runs 100% gel about the custom of all the system let me download updates update freezes keyboard and touch pad and wont stop. tried to reinstall it 4 times same thing every time

You need to find the specific system process that takes all (there are a lot of threads related to the 'System' process) of the CPU resources and slow down your PC.

To do this Process Explorer, try:
    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/Sysinternals/bb896653.aspx

Worth reading: the process system CPU spikes
    http://blogs.technet.com/markrussinovich/archive/2008/04/07/3031251.aspx

Once you have Process Explorer installed and running:
In the task bar, select view and check 'show process Tree.
as well as the options 'display the lower pane '.
Move the cursor of your mouse over any column in the right pane and
Make a right click and check the following boxes:
    "Command line" and "Version".
(This will provide some of the detailed information you need)

Then click on the CPU column to sort processes by CPU usage %.
Then click on extend the process 'System' or 'Explorer' to expand and identify the specific subprocess using most or all the resources.
Then click the sub-process or process listed under the system process that is using most or all the CPU %.
Once the process or subprocess is highlighted, do a right click and select the options listed: online search. This should bring that out there on the web about this process.

Note: some entries as solution, System (as explained above) process Explorer and svchost entries can should be extended to view details (sup process), in this case click on the + to the left of the entrance.

  • Hide or restrict a specific process in the Task Manager

I need to be able to hide or to limit a summer in the Task Manager process. I was wondering if someone could suggest a way to do? or if there is a way to make a backup of beginning of process automatically if a standard user finishes? even better if there is a way to completely hide the process in the Task Manager tab?

I don't want to completely hide the Task Manager, as our users use it for final applications when they crash when myself and other specialists, are not on the site.

    Thank you very much

  • Slow computer and the number of processes in the Task Manager

My dad's computer runs very slow on start up, and when you try to shut down some programs it freezes or just takes its time.  When it freezes, I use the Task Manager to close the program, which usually works.  SE when I had to use Task Manager, I noticed that my father has 53 process running at a time.

Could it be slow down the computer and if so, what can I do about this problem?

You can search what process you use cpu on the Task Manager and stop the process.

    Under steps:

    1. right click on the taskbar.

    2. click on the Task Manager.

    3. click on the processes tab.

    4. double-click on the CPU.

5 is if "system idle process" is max.

    6. If it is not a right click and click on end process.

  • After selecting "complete the process" in the Task Manager, the Office has now disappeared

Hi, I've had too many unwanted obsolete icons in the notifications icon page and I went to the microsoft answers website and someone suggested that I go to Task Manager select internet explore and click on "end process." My office any missing albums excet for a scene in the picture. Can you please guide me in the way of "cancel this process, so I can get my desk top.?" Help

    * original title - how to cancel 'end process' so I can get my desk top. ? Help *.

Have you stopped to iexplore.exe or explorer.exe? Sounds to me as if it was the last of the two.

Start the Task Manager (right-click on the taskbar and select "Start Task Manager", and then click file--> new task (run...), type explorer.exe in the box press OK.)

A reboot must also take care of it. :-)

  • Download install Flash, disappears in the process in the Task Manager despite

Installed the latest Firefox on Windows 7 64-bit. Cannot complete installation of Flash Player of in Firefox as it may seem, it cannot connect to the Adobe server. After manual download from the Adobe site and after that the site correctly recognizes the operating system and other details, download successfully. Start the installation program only to see the downloaded file disappear from the download folder and nothing happens, no dialogue, etc. While they inspected the Task Manager, the process is here and running but seems to do nothing. I suspect that this is not a problem with Firefox, nor Flash, but rather w7, but thought I'd start here. Using the standard w7 firewall and AVG free for antivirus. Recently purchased from DELL.

Try to download and run http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/install_flash_player_11_plugin_32bit.exe. Adobe standard setup is horrible.

  • two sometimes three iexplorer.exe. Open the process in the Task Manager

    original title: iexplorer.exe.

everytime I open a sometimes three iexplorer.exe two Web site. Open in the Task Manager process is this normal or is one of them not supposed to run?

    Hi danielgirard,

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    2. do you have a security software on the computer?

    3. it happens with any site that you open it?

    Method 1

Every new Internet Explorer window that you open will create a new entry iexplorer.exe in the Task Manager.

I suggest that you scan the computer for malware or virus infections and check if it helps.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

You can also use Microsoft Security databases to scan your computer

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/PC-security/MSE.aspx

    Method 2

If the above does not help, then perform the clean boot procedure to verify if a third-party program installed on the computer is the origin of the problem.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

I accidentally deleted the process explore on my computer so now I have no task bar and no icons on my desktop. How can I fix?

    Hello

It would be almost impossible to remove Explorer.exe. If you have simply stopped the process Exlorer, you should be able to restart easily.

Press Ctrl + SHIFT + ESC to start Task Manager.

In the Task Manager, select file / new task (run...).

Type Explorer.exe, and then click OK.

You should see the taskbar and the desktop icons appear.

    Let us know the results.

Thank you for using Windows 7

  • Impossible to change the priority of the process in the Task Manager

Ive recently installed x 86 windows 7 RC1 and found that when running of 2 copies of the world of warcraft (dual-boxing) + ventrilo (+ other programs scattered... Vuze / MSN etc.) that the two windows in world of warcraft suffer massively in terms of frequency of frames and responsiveness during the exchange between the windows. Ive also noticed that the system does not seem to allow any time processor, which inturn hurt speech to wind... becoming lag ventrilo and shredded when send all voice data. Ive tried to allocate more time processor for programs, but windows gives me the error "this operation could not be completed, access denied. This did not happen under Beta to my knowledge. I have not tested in safe mode...

Now, I understand the security features of the system and believe that I have all the correct Administrator security privileges, but im still getting this error, even if I run the programs as an administrator, they still suffer small amounts of time processor.

Ive got a system strong enough, so it's not as if there are limited resources - this has me boggled.

    Hello, ApolloFury

I'm happy to offer a few suggestions, but you will have to go on Support of Windows 7 forums on the following link for assistance troubleshooting: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/w7itpro

After you open the Task Manager, click on Show processes from all users to ensure that it is run as an administrator. To divide the load, set each instance in its own kernel by click right-click on the process, Set Affinity and make sure only one heart is selected. Select the other core for the second instance. If you have a second hard drive, connecting it the second instance the second hard drive should also increase performance.

Lower your settings at least in the game.

You can also try to choose a basic theme to disable the Aero interface.

If your antivirus scanning on access to files, it can cause too much additional slowdown with largefiles.

    I hope this helps.
