  • Mode problem, freezes or crashes sleep when windows opens again

    Hello

The problem I have with the pavilion DV4-2145DX , approximately 12 months, using windows 7 is when I close the lid or put in "standby mode", now and then the window opens but the internet does not, nor all the other icons.

When I go to restart it, the closure does not work so I stop hard.

When it restarts all works well again.

When I shut down normally and re start the computer no problem at that time.

    Any ideas please.

  • After entering the mode 'sleep', WIndows 8 occasioanlly stops.

This happens rarely; only three times since the installation of Windows 8 about two months ago.  I use my computer on a regular basis and prefer to put in mode 'sleep'. Normally, the screen turns off first followed quickly by the computer go to sleep - in other words, all the lights and sounds of my Tower disappear and everything is happy.

Sometimes after the screen stops normally, the computer takes about 5 seconds before the tower was asleep, before turning off. The delay is very sensitive. The next time I turn on my computer, it goes through the normal startup process (does not wake from sleep).  There is no error, BSOD or anything, but I lost all my previous session data as if I shut down the computer completely.

I think I've identified the relevent event in Event Viewer.  The most recent is as follows:

    Log name: System
    Source: Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Power
    Date: 25/05/2013-05:19:19
    Event ID: 41

The two previous incidents are identical except the timestamp and BugcheckParameter4, the latest of which is:

However, I couldn't find anyone get the same problem subsequently to spend in sleep mode, but then again I don't know much about this stuff ~

Any help is appreciated. If there is any other information that you need, let me know what (and where). Thank you.

    Hi André,.

The kernel power event 41 ID error occurs when the computer is off or it restarts unexpectedly. Starting a computer that is running Windows, a check is made to determine if the computer has been properly closed. If the computer was not closed properly, a kernel Power event 41 message is generated.

I suggest you to refer to the article and check if it helps.

  • Why if I leave my desk top to enter the mode "sleep" I can't get it back on.

    Hello world

My counter top is an Acer Aspire M5201 64 bit machine I had no problem with all running Windows 7.  I changed to Windows 8 Pro in December and it has worked flawlessly and I was very happy until April.  After several updates Microsoft my machine started to freeze and I have to restart.  However, it would not restart due to no video input.  I've tried several things, change the cable DVI to VGA, unplug the machine and leave for half an hour the tour is played it will return but crashes during the first boot.  If I reboot a second time it lights without problem.  I thought I had managed to solve this problem, but I was put under my computer when I'm away from the desk top.  Today, the phone rang and he entered mode 'sleep' and I couldn't put it back on.  I have consulted many people here in the past about this issue and one solution was to change the parameters of quick start.  It worked but not anymore.  I did different things to my computer to try sorting, but they are all in without success.  I've got rid of Trusteer report on recommendation and dumped loads of temporary files.  I learned that Kaspersky is in conflict with Windows 8 and so on.  Kaspersky has come to me several things that were at the origin of the problems. I have Kaspersky ran for several years and have had no problems with it and I recently renewed my license.  To be honest I really tired performance of my machine as Windows 8 pro has been installed, I ran the following:-

    DISM / online/cleanup-image /checkhealth
    DISM / online/cleanup-image /restorehealth

How to run the command "SFC/scannow" at the start or in Windows 8 and 8.1

I have a corrupted file. Cannot repair the military record [l:36 {18}] "Amd64\CNBJ2530. PBO"prncacla.inf, Version = 6.3.9600.16384, pA = PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE_AMD64 (9), the Culture neutral, VersionScope is 1 nonSxS, PublicKeyToken = {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35}, Type = [l:24 {12}]"driverUpdate", TypeName neutral, PublicKey neutral in the store, hash mismatch

Nobody told me how to fix this file only to make an update of Windows, which would mean that I would lose all my Windows applications not that I don't want to do because I have so much of.

Is there someone out there who is able to help me because I spend so much time trying to resolve these issues, he leads me in the wall?  I had so many problems since Windows 8 Pro installation I wish I had not taken the trouble.  I fear actually turn on my computer.  What was once a reliable machine is becoming a liability.  Thank you

    Hello Julie,

    Thank you for your response.

You can proceed to method 2 for as much as in the previous post. It will tell what drivers are installed on your computer you open Device Manager.

If this does not help, then use the suggestions provided in this article, and the check.

  • Sounds dead after mode 'sleep'. (Windows 7)

Whenever my computer goes into mode 'sleep', and I turn back again the sound went. I searched for hours and hours trying things suggested to others with exactly the same problem. I did the steps of troubleshooting, uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, try different settings in the sound control panel. Nothing. My computer is a self-construction running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, I have a Gigabyte mobo with onboard Realtek HD. I'm about to resort to just reformat my whole HARD drive and reinstall Windows because I'm pretty well convinced there is no solution.

This is my exact motherboard: [url] http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128342 [url]

    Carach,

Contact the manufacturer of the motherboard (Gigabyte) for the latest BIOS. Here is a direct link to the page of the BIOS:

And here is a link to the sound driver:

    http://www.gigabyte.us/support/motherboard/Driver_Model.aspx?ProductID=2813&OST=Windows+7+64bit#anchor_os

I had this problem on my own computer and reinstall the audio driver taken care of him for me (even if it was the same driver). I highly recommend trying to install the driver, once more just to be sure.

    Hope this helps!

  • macOS Sierra - press and hold the power button to enter the mode 'sleep'

I recently updated my MacBook Air (13 inch, early 2015) model of El Capitan macOS Sierra 10.12. Before the update, hold down the power button / stop for 2-3 seconds, put the machine in standby mode. It does not properly after the update. Release the power button to switch to sleep mode works only once after each time you start the machine.

I know he has an option to set the mode of sleep using Ctrl + button / stop and by selecting one of three options to restart, sleep and Shutdown, but who needs 3 more click click and is not fast. Also, independently of any application that is open, pressing the button walk / stop worked fine before the update, but now I need to be on the desktop even do Ctrl + Power button work.

All patches available for it? Miss me the old way of put my Mac to sleep I do not remember if I did some tweak in my Mac, or was it a default feature...

It would be interesting to know what your system brand and model is and what your version XP and the Service Pack, but it's just a fantasy of mine that the Microsoft Answers forum would actually make for such things when a new issue is created.  This shortfall in crude in the development of MS Answers forums unnecessarily prolongs solving simple problems.

If you don't see a message like this:

No disk, Exception Processing Message c0000013 parameters 75b6bf7c 475b6bf7c 75b6bf7c

Until you can determine what the 'real' problem is with your hardware, you can disable the pop-up message by making a registry adjustment.

Before making changes to the registry, back up your registry with this free and easy to use tool popular:

    http://www.SnapFiles.com/get/ERUNT.html

Click Start, run and enter in the box:

    Regedit

Click OK to open the registry editor, navigate to the following key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Windows

In the right pane, check the value of the ErrorMode setting.

If ErrorMode is set to 0, double click on ErrorMode and set 2 (2 = disabled).

Click OK to save the changes, and then click file, exit to close the registry editor.

Any error will always be displayed in case view the log, but you won't see any popups

Reboot your system and check the things now.

It seems that your XP hangs for some reason any...

Why do we know almost nothing about your system (except a laptop with XP Pro)?  I know this isn't your fault...

Please answer these questions and to implement the following:

Provide information on your system, the better you can:

What is your system brand and model?

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination?  (this includes the plug pulling, buttons power, remove the battery, etc.)

The afflicted system has a working CD/DVD (internal or external) drive?

You have a genuine XP installation CD bootable, which is the same Service as your installed Service Pack (this is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

If there is a problem starting, XP is configured to automatically try to start again and you can stuck in a loop not being able to go beyond the screen boot options, or none of these startup options you choose will work only.

Sometimes, when XP has a problem starting or falls down and tries to start again, it will give you a "short" menu of boot options and none of them will appear to be good to get your system going again.  You have tried them all!

The options are similar to the Advanced Boot Options menu XP, but the only option that you need (disable automatic error system reboot) are not offered, because XP went too far during the boot process and offers a limited number of boot options.

If this is the case, you must call Options menu advanced boot yourself until you do not see the option:

Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

When you get the XP Advanced Options correct start menu you want to see, he has options on it like these:

    Safe mode
    Safe mode with networking
    Safe mode with command prompt

    Enable Boot logging
    Enable VGA mode
Last good Configuration known (your most recent settings that worked)
Directory Services Restore Mode (Windows domain controllers only)
    Debug mode
Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

    Start Windows normally
    Reset
    Return to OS Choices Menu

You need to choose in this menu is the option:

Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

Then if XP does not start normally, you will see an error screen with information and clues about the problem and then you can decide what to do next.

If you do not see the automatic restart on system failure option turn it off, you must reset your system and start typing the key F8 on the keyboard until you see her disable automatic restart on system failure option.

If you miss the window of opportunity F8, you must try again and start tapping the F8 key with more urgency (earlier and more frequently) until you see disable automatic restart on system failure, and then select.

You must keep trying the F8 menu until you see disable automatic restart on system failure option, and select it.

If your system has a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD), we need to know what the screen says:

Here's a BSOD example showing information you provide:

    http://TechRepublic.com.com/i/tr/downloads/images/bsod_a.jpg

Send for the nose and the Red arrows (3 to 4 lines total).

Send all * line STOP message since there are clues in the 4 parameters.

If it looks like there is some kind of name listed in the STOP message file, send this line also.

Ignore the boring text unless it seems important to you.  We know what a BSOD looks like, we need to know what your BSOD looks like.

Answering queries and results report of the disable automatic restart on system failure screen and you can decide what to do next.
