To increase the audio level?

Hi, I would like to know how can I increase the audio level of the level of 12db maximum in final cut pro x? Can I duplicate the audio track? If so, how can I do that?

Thank you.

  • Y at - it a keyboard shortcut to raise the audio level upwards or downwards by a 1db?

In Final Cut Pro, you can select a single item, or a track or group of clips, and press on the + or - button to increase or decrease the volume of the clip, 1 dB at each tap, so you can quickly make this slight change in the volume of perhaps a music or voice to follow and quickly see how it changes the relationship between the music and the voice , or something similar.

I know that you can manually change the audio levels of clips in Premiere Pro by pulling on the audio lines..., I know you can navigate VIDEO - AUDIO OPTIONS and punch in a db of change as well, but none of these options are are fast as CONTROL + or - to continue to see how 1db upward or downward change affects balance.

Is there a keyboard equivalent in Premiere Pro?  Thanks in advance for your help.

In CC, there are a few new shortcuts for "Clip Volume"... Finally!

They go by increments of 1 dB or 6db. I would prefer 3db, but better than nothing.

UPDATE: in fact, in preferences > Audio, you can adjust "Volume off." Yay!

  • Change the audio level of many clips in the browser?

I have 1000 or more clips in these images of GoPro project, cameras, and selects music, with many clips that have audio very strong especially the GoPro mounted on the vehicles off the road as they motor at high speed through obstacles. My edit in place includes 20/20 speakers, and even though I have a moderate level of audio that is configured for editing when I select images in the browser that has strong audio I need to stop and lower this clip in the browser at once and he eats a precious time.

Is it possible to change the audio level in many clips selected in the browser?

    Select the clips.

Go to the Clip > Audio Options > Audio Gain

When the Gain Audio pane opens, set Adjust Gain of: -12

Click OK. You can experiment on a clip or two to see if this gain reduction is too much or not enough for you.

85 dB is a level of calibration of the monitor. Use a meter of SPL (C-weighted/slow) with pink noise to perform this task. It is not something that is defined during mixing or exit. Loudness Radar is a sound level meter software. It includes templates and Visual representations to program Loudness, short temporary term Loudness, Loudness and Loudness Range (LRA). There is also an indicator of True Peak exceeded. Add this at the end of you point out the string for a precise measurement of your mix. Note to determine an exact indication of the program Loudness, the audio segment must be measured in its entirety.

What operating system is running your first items 12/12.1? Can we assume that this audio reads OK

on the same computer when you use a computer independent of Premiere Elements drive?

What are the properties of these clips that have worked before, but don't know regarding sound

For now, I will assume that you are working on Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 64bits.

Have you checked the settings change preferences/Menu/Audio ASIO hardware? You have all 3rd party audio devices integrated in your IT environment?

and in the 12.0 folder, is the file Adobe Premiere elements Prefs that you delete. If this does not work, then delete all 12.0 the folder in which the Adobe Premiere elements Prefs file exists. Make sure that you work with the Option "Show hidden files, folders and drives" of the current folder so that you can see the full quoted path.

  • Melted how audio and keep the audio level in clips later

I have piloted PE 10.  When I add keyframes manually to fade audio output, or simply select the option ' fade out ' to fade at the end of an audio clip, the audio ends at the end of the clip and the audio of the following clips is to initial level.  This creates a large discontinuity to the noise level.

What happens if I want to the next clip or clips to continue in the same faded audio level, rather than start at their original level.

In Pinnacle Studio, for example, when you fade down audio, all audio to the right will be adjusted to match the level after the fade, as long as there are no keyframes forward of this final key-frame fade.  Now that I'm getting 10 EP, I'm bored of this behavior.

In PE10, there is a sequence of keys which allow this behavior?

If you have only one or a few Clips, where you want to reduce the Volume, I do so at the level of the Clip and simply adjust the fixed effect (appears automatically on all the audio Clips), and add keyframes to adjust the Volume.

I find it easier since the effect controls panel, accessible by selecting the Clip you want to adjust, and then in the effects tab, choose Edit effects.

Lets say you have a Clip, where the majority of the Volume is just, but there is a section where you want to turn it down. Go to where you want the Volume to start to get lower, add a keyframe (toggle ON keyframes), then go to where you want the Volume restore the main value and add another keyframe. At this point, nothing has changed, but you added two key frames, which "held" the Volume at the current level. Now, go where you want the Volume to its lowest, to the right of the first keyframe that we added. Add another. Adjust the level to this keyframe (now the second in the Clip) to what you want. Go where you want the Volume first on the rise, just before the second keyframe that you added (now third), and add another keyframe. Adjust so that it matches the Volume you settled in what is now the second keyframe. You will have four key frames: the first, one that keeps the Volume at the beginning of the Clip, the second, which allows to adjust the Volume to its setting, the third, which corresponds to the Volume of the second, then the fourth, keeping the Volume at the level of the initial until the end of the Clip. It will look like this:

Some like to do the with the "rubberbands" Keyframing in the Clip itself, but I like the effect controls panel.

In addition, keyframes that we added, are linear and if you want to adjust the Interpolation, the smoother changes just Rt-click on each keyframe, to adjust the Interpolation. Interpolation is a little abstract, so I suggest to read the help files on Bezier curves on keyframes.

    Good luck

  • Adjust the audio level through an entire project

    Captivate v5.5

I created a project with a narration for slide added during 2-3 days.

Now, I want to ensure that the level of my narration slide by slide is consistent throughout the project.

If I select 'Normalise' the project/adjust the Audio Volume / change what (if any) should I do with the Volume on the left slider?

Would you recommend this as the best option?

    Is there a better option?

    Thank you

    Noel

    Noel,.

"Normalize" audio is usually done to equalize the difference in volume between audio on different slides in your project.  So if you have noticed that some slides were significantly stronger or softer than others, you can use standards to get them all sounding more or less the same.

I don't know if you have the following ELS or just Captivate, but his blog post has a brief overview of how to perform changes on the audio through several Captivate slides using Adobe Audition.  You can use other audio editors in a similar way to a certain extent, but back and forth between Captivate and audio editors who belong to the ELS is generally higher.

  • How can I increase the audio of a quiet clip?

I use a video that killed someone else, and the sound is very low. They did not use microphone, just one on the camera, so the Lady speaks is very quiet.

The yellow audio bar I pulled up all the way, but it's still too quiet. What audio effects can help to amplify the volume and more?

I've attached a screenshot of the audio effects, I have at my disposal. I'm not sure what some of these effects are actually...

Please let me know if one of the effects I would help me... or I should I just copy and paste my audio track several times? (I just thought that...)

    Thank you!

In the article I linked, the Audio Mixer Panel will be the global Volume of an Audio track settings. Now, you must do this for each Audio track, you need, but who will do it.

  • Raising or lowering the audio levels minimizes some programs

Hi I have a HP pavillion dv6 laptop with windows 7 64 bit, and every time I have a window maximized or running any sort of a game and decide to change the volume, it minimizes all windows and displays an on-screen scroll bar, I tried to update the drivers from the hp site which has not changed it I don't know what should be the name of the driver is IDT high definition audio codec the version is 6.10.6225.0 hope that some one can help

Well, I had this problem too, but I came across a topic addressed this. I wish I could find him because he even cited a program to replace the sliding bar with one that worked in full screen. But anyway, the two quick fixes that I saw 1. go to Task Manager and end smartMenu. The volume slider still works for me, but does not appear on the graph on the screen

    2. to avoid having to continue to do this, go to msconfig (run, msconfig) and then go to startup and uncheck hp MediaSmart.

I don't know if disabling MediaSmart will have consequences, but it works and I have not encountered any problems

  • Sound engineer freezes when I try to adjust the audio levels

I have Windows 7, and occasionally (1 of 5) when I start my computer, the volume mixer will freeze everytime I try to adjust the volume until I restart the computer. When I try ending the process via Task Manager > administrative tools > Services > Windows Audio, I get the error "the program has not responded in time."

I have no sound card, my active audio device is my Logitech G930 USB headset. When I try to turn on/off the headset, nothing happens. The only way to solve the problem is to restart my PC.

Is there a solution for this?

  • Can adjust the audio levels with a single clip

Very simple question that drives me crazy.  Just before I post, I'm a complete to this noob please go easy on me.

I'm editing a podcast.  It is a clip, a track in first pro.  My sound levels varies between-3 and - 12db through recording due to parts where I speak louder and quieter.   I need to balance a little better, to make the quiet parts louder.

I don't know how to do this outside the insertion of keyframes volume level in the clip, which is slow and manual and takes forever.

Every search I do to normalize levels is all about several clips and by adjusting the maximum peak in the same, that will not help me.

    Thanks in advance!

Adobe Audition is a speech Volume Leveler you might want to check.

    Hello

I try to add the menu items programmatically in my application, it is possible indent a new item? How?

    Concerning

If you want to add submenus to an existing menu, you can use the VI "Insert Menu items" and add items to existing menu items. Otherwise, if you want just to indent the new menu, I would just like to add several spaces at the start tags of the element.
