  A call back to Epson says my Windows Firewall blocks printing Epson Status Monitor and by disabling the firewall every thing returns to normal.  Turning on the firewall without exception is still no difference and I should contact Microsoft for that matter.

  If the application works when the firewall is disabled, but not when the firewall is turned on, so you must create an exception for the application.

  I don't know what you mean by "turning on the firewall without exceptions still makes no difference" - no difference of what?

  You must determine the name of print Epson Status Monitor, then go to control panel > Windows Firewall (if your control panel is using "Category view", you will find Windows Firewall in the Security Center).

  Once in the Firewall dialog box, click the Exceptions tab, click the button "Add a program" and find printing Epson Status Monitor.  If it is not in the list that appears, click on the button "Browse".  After selecting the program and click OK, make sure that on the general tab of the Firewall properties dialog box that the "do not allow the box exceptions" is NOT checked.

• Research of start Windows 7 does not see outlook and onenote items

  I use office 2010 and windows 7 Enterprise.    When you used to search in the start bar the results it would display would contain items outlook and onenote but it is no longer made.  It contains only the elements with the words to search for in the name of the file.

  If however I chose see more results while all outlook and onenote items are there.  It feels like a framework or something somewhere has changed and now the start bar search does not bother to look in the index.
  I made sure that all the search options in the start bar properties tab are on and working, but still no results.

  If this isn't the case, then you should first update the BIOS!

  The latest version of the BIOS is on the European driver Toshiba page and it can be modified running Windows OS.
  As far as I know, you must use 2.5 or later version BIOS.

  Using Navigator MP EX or ImageCapture? If you use MP Navigator, make sure you check the settings on the new users to make sure that it is looking for the network version of the scanner.

  If you can, try the keyboard on another PC and try a different keyboard on your PC. If the keyboard has the same thing on another PC and another keyboard works well on your PC, it is "side on" hardware failure. Assuming that it is hardware failure, if it is under warranty GET it replaced, it is not you will have to buy a new one.

When I tried to install drivers and software after downloading from the Microsoft Web site, I got a "system error is not compatible, please check the system requirements" even if this device box comes indicates Windows 7 as one of the requirements of the system. Another requirement is 64-bit and my system is that. Microsoft product support has been completely impotent and useless. Called 3 times. First, the technician said that even if the requirements said Windows 7, which should include Windows 7 Pro but offered no other aid or assistance to install the drivers. Second time I have called, the technician told me exactly the opposite of the first, I might need a wireless device that was compatible with Windows 7 Pro a but have offered no other form of assistance. The third time I called, the technician has warned me to research and disconnected me after being on hold for 15 minutes.
