To start Windows and then leaves after 38 seconds

I have Windows XP on an Acer Aspire One netbook, which I bought used.  When I got to the top, it worked fine for half an hour. I was able to connect to internet, download, etc.  Then I stopped.  I started a little later with the power adapter is plugged and an SD card into the slot.  Although I don't think that's the problem, the SD card was not formatted to FAT.

Now, the computer starts up, the Windows screen and then it goes to "check disk".  Most of the time, he gets exactly "22% complete" and then everything stops completely and instantly.

Same thing if I go into the Bios: it stops after 38 seconds exactly.

If I remove the battery and leave for a while, the system starts and not even on the desktop. I am able to open something (Control Panel for example) and then everything stops as before, but it is longer than 38 seconds.

I have the Windows disc and the drive system supplied with the netbook, but I don't have an external CD/DVD drive for her.  I tried ALT + F10 and it does not help.  I tried to change the Bios 'Internet' boot and it does not help.

I rebooted about 30 or 40 times.  Same results each time: 38 seconds and death; unless I pull the battery, then I can get on the desktop and then it stops.

What else can I try?

Hello

·         What is the model number of the Acer laptop?

·         You get the error message?

·         Were there recent changes made on the computer before the show?

If the computer stops even in the BIOS, the problem is related to hardware. You can deal with this problem due to the overheating of the processor. Also check if the fans on the processor, heatsink heat and cases are running. I suggest you to contact the Acer Support about the issue.

If you are able to start the computer in safe mode, take note of the number of KB updates which fails to install.

Also you can restore the system in safe mode.

Check out the link below to perform a restore of the system.

This message appears at the first start, but when I press ctrl + Alt + Delete, restart windows and then no error in config/system does finally come windows starts successfully without problem usually. I searched on the internet that all solutions are given if windows XP does not start. But in my case after restart only a single window loads successfully. I'm dubious before using the recovery console.
    Please help everyone,
no case I found the solution to this particular problem.

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination? (This includes pulling and buttons power).

These can cause corruption in the file system that must be fixed before you do anything else. If none of these events occurred (or even if they have not taken place), you must verify the integrity of your file system before anything else (especially "try" things).

Never, never, never start with the support engineer technical 'expert' who are hired by Microsoft to implement the KB307545.  You are likely to be in for a frustrating waste of time and might just make things worse.

Always, always, always start with a chkdsk with first error correction.

There is zero logic to start try to copy files to a hard drive with a corrupted file system so corruption of file system must be fixed first using the XP chkdsk program and run chkdsk can solve your problem completely.
Use the XP Recovery Console to check the file system on your HARD drive and fix the problems and then try to start your system - this may be all you need to do.  Or, you are welcome to just start trying things that might work.
Start the Recovery Console Windows using an XP bootable installation CD, or create a bootable CD from the Console of the Recovery XP (no XP media required).
A CD of XP Recovery Console is not the same as the recovery disks that may have come to a store to purchase the system.
If you have any bootable CD to run the XP Recovery Console or that you are not sure what type of bootable CD you have, can create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and don't forget (no support for XP not necessary).
If you need instructions to create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console, we can predict that too (just ask).
After booting into the Recovery Console, you should be in this folder:
    C:\WINDOWS
For each of your hard disk partitions, you must then run:
    Chkdsk /r
For example, at the Recovery Console prompt, enter:
    CHKDSK c: /r
Let chkdsk finish to correct the problems, he could find.  It may take a long time to complete or seem to be 'glued '.  Be patient.  If the HARD drive light flashes, it's something.  Keep an eye on the amount of the percentage to be sure that it is still making progress.  It may even seem to go back sometime.
The chkdsk/r must be completed without error, you may need to run several times until it does.
Remove the CD, and then type "exit" to exit the Recovery Console and restart the computer and the report with your progress.

  • I have an Acer computer I want to do a total restore. It came with windows 7 starter edition, and then I bought Microsoft word for it. If Microsoft word will lose if I do the restoration?

I have an Acer computer I want to do a total restore. It came with windows 7 starter edition, and then I bought Microsoft word for it. If Microsoft word will lose if I do the restoration?

If you purchased Word on CD, it's no big deal; just reinstall it after the factory restore. If it was bought online, copy the file downloaded to a CD and then reinstall it later.

Is there a particular reason, why you want to do a restore complete? Have you problems? If so, you can try asking here on how to fix them and do not have to do a restore, reinstall all your programs and all of the updates and service pack 1.

    Hello

1 how long have you been faced with this problem?
    2. don't you make changes on the computer before this problem?
    3. What is the exact error message?

You can try to perform the clean boot on the calculation and check.
From your computer by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs so that you can determine if a background program is interfering with your game or program. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot".

    Reference:

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:
    1. click on start and then click Run.
    2. type msconfig and click OK.

The System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    3. click on the tab general, click Normal Startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.
    4. When prompted, click on restart to restart the computer.

To be honest I don t understand your question
If you have formatted the drive HARD second it shouldn't be a problem at startup of Windows.

You burned the recovery disk? Then boot from it and install the laptop.

  • Laptop HP pavilion 17-f115dx: start window and desktop screen

The problem is the flashes of desktop screen between a blank blue screen with a task bar and a desktop at startup screen. My splash screen comes first, and no problem until I find myself on the desktop, then it flashes between other screens and also the splash screen. I have to control alt delete to close.

I found the solution on another thread-

    1. press CTRL Alt Delete

    2. go in Task Manager

    3. go to the Services tab

    4. look to the bottom of the window, and then click Open Services

    5. under the name of the category to find Windows Error Reporting Service

    6. right click and select Properties

    7. go in Startup Type and change to disabled

    8. click on apply, and then click OK

    The flashing should stop immediately

    Alternative route:

    1. press CTRL Alt Delete

    2. go in Task Manager

    3. Select the file--> a new task

    4. type msconfig, then click ok

    5. Select the Services tab

    6. under the name of the category to find Windows Error Reporting Service & uncheck

    7. click on apply, and then click OK

8 restart your computer & when you connect the flashing should be gone

The first set of directions worked for me, but someone else did the second set because they couldn't do the first.

    Hope this helps!
