to start windows in clean boot and tried to launch interactive help - but says he can't

system becomes all kinds of errors, the system disk error 7004 - 51b 9 - almost every day - don't wake up stand-by - extremely slow performance - advised to start in the State of clean boot and when I try to do with the interactive help - it says it can't run it - what can I do?

You must get other advice.  I said nothing about "clean boot".  If you want to try a clean boot, see:
"How to configure Windows XP to start in a"clean boot"State
  <>http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353 >
If she does disk check every time you start and this was compounded, I doubt this will help.

If it's sleep mode, then you wake up usually mode standby by pressing the power button momentarily.  If you want to wake you up by moving the mouse, you may be able to choose a screen saver that turns off your monitor but not your computer.  "Night light" is a semi stop and controlled by the power settings in the control panel.

Good luck

    Hello

You will need to reverse the clean boot, as it is either incidental compared to
the real cause of the problem. What, where you try to fix initially using the cleanboot?

  • When you install a new application, is it necessary to start from a clean boot to ensure that no application works?

When you install a new application, is it necessary to start from a clean boot to ensure that no application works?  Somewhere, a long time ago, we advised me to always be in a boot environment when installing new applications and have always respected this notice since.  However, I recently learned that is not necessary and may even be counterproductive because some Microsoft Services are needed for new facilities.  My goal is to have no corrupted installations to avoid future problems, but I have nothing seems to give me resistance gremlin 100% and I still have my share of challenges.   Almost all applications that I install contains the warning to make sure that no application works before installing.  Can anyone tell me with authority the best way to ensure that new installations of new applications please?  In addition, the same orientation for Win XP Pro to do with Win 7 Home Premium please?  Thank you.

YW. Yes, I think an important thing to take away is to realize that it is better to only install the necessary Windows updates 'priority '. There is one exception, apparently. Recently, an MVP made me notice that updates to certificate root (which although considered "Optional" are virtually useful updates to security for IE) must be installed as well.

But others are optional and since then, they can be VERY problematic (especially updates of pilot and the dreaded Windows Search 4.0), you really should stay away from them!

Happy to help to explain things. Good luck!

80073712 is that the message above suggests by http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=947821 that "the component store is in an inconsistent state."  And if I look at the CBS.log newspaper as suggested, I see many messages that

I deleted my email account and tried to add it back, but it is said that there are already.

First of all, make sure that you don't have two accounts with the same address. What happens if one of them is an iCloud account.

From the Mail menu bar, you select

    ▹ Connection Doctor window

In the window that opens, look for an SMTP (outgoing mail) account with a name that corresponds to the account that you are trying to add. Double-click it. Another window opens, displaying the list of all outgoing mail accounts. Click the sign button less to remove the corresponding one, and then click OK.

Try to add the email account again. If you still can not, log off or restart the computer, and then open the preferences window accounts Internet and check if the account is displayed.

  • After doing a "clean boot" and then begins a reset, how do I activate the starting aps in the Configuration of the system when the "Activate" button is low?

I just ran a "clean boot" on Windows 8.  Now, I'm trying to reset my computer but when I enter msconfig - System Configuration - Services - the "Hide all Microsoft Services" checkbox is more verified and the "Disabled" button is available, the button "Activate" is low.  According to the instructions on support.microsoft.com/kb/929135 should show the opposite, and I have to uncheck 'Hide' and 'Activate' all access points.  What can I do to activate the aps and finish reset correctly.

    Hello

Are you trying to reset the computer to start normally after a boot minimum troubleshooting?

If Yes, then I would like to inform you that once you select Normal startup under Startup selection all services and startup items will be automatically activated. You just need to restart the computer to start the computer normally.

  • Problems to start Windows Vista / slow route and the screen is very big

    Hello

Last night, something happened and the power strip with all the strings of my computer was turned off. When I turned it on Windows took a long time to start. I tried several times to boot mode safe but it freezes when it loads the files "Windows". When I choose to start normally it takes about 30 minutes up to what the login screen appears, but the screen is large and disproportionate as if the resolution was too low. If I connect to try to change the resolution of my computer runs very slow and I can't do anything.

I can not start safe mode and I tried to use the last good known Configuration, but my computer is blocked that do too. It freezes at the "loading windows files" with the white loading bar. The bar completely and then everything stops as if my computer is blocked. The only way he can start very slowly normally is, and then I can't do anything with it. For not to mention everything on the screen how big is. I checked the resolution with my monitors settings and it says its normal.

At this point, I am completely lost and have no idea what could be the problem or what I need to do.

My computer is a HP Pavilion Elite m9357 PC c.

The monitor is an HP w2207h

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Hello

Power outages can damage the equipment.

I suggest that you see if you can save your data > do reinstall a factory.

If this does not solve your problems, then it points to a hardware problem.

With a CV, you press F11 repeatedly at startup to start the recovery process to factory settings.

    See you soon.

  • Cannot start Windows on first boot (works after restart)

I recently removed the dust in the housing using a bellows, at the end of which I had unplugged and removed by the drive hard and video card. After reinserting the components and start the computer, I heard a continuous beep sound while the screen remains dark. After the reopening of the case I noticed that I forgot to plug a wire into the video card (PCI I think) I plugged. After you start the computer again once it wasn't a beep more and I got the video. However, Windows does not load on first boot more. He will go as far that the loading screen of the bar after which I get a 'no signal' and the computer restarts. I will get a screen with the message that Windows cannot start, probably due to software or change of material and a number of options. When I choose to start windows normally it will mostly start normally (sometimes I need to repeat the process) and I can use the computer normally (I use it now). A reboot, the computer has been shutdown very slowly and later wouldn't pass the default splash screen, but it has not reoccured.
Another small issue, I'll have is a regular of the screen flicker.

I used the drive control to the start of several times. I tried to address this problem by starting the computer with the Vista installation disc and select Repair, but I was not allowed to fix the menu says there where no problem. I reinstalled Windows (and I can't be fully updated all the drivers again, hance perhaps the flicker of the screen?), but to no avail. The closest thing I've met on the internet who resembled my problem was this: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=1006011905618 so, I replaced the BIOS battery, which once again changed nothing (BIOS holds settings BTW). In fact, once I'm on Windows I would seem to have a computer that works very well. The issue doesn't bother me so much if I wasn't worried, that it could get worse.

I have Vista 32 bit, Intel E6750 CPU, card mother Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3, Geforce 8800 GTS 320 MB video card, 2 GB of RAM, Samsung 400 GB HD Vista has been entirely updated (including SP2).

    Hi CeCoRM,

I suggest physically wipe you the hard drive again by blowing air earlier could have pushed the dust particles away on the inside.

I would recommend also you post your question in the TechNet forums for assistance.

    Hope the helps of information.
