  • Annoying pop up Windows Photo Gallery

I have not downloaded on my computer, but lately, Windows Photo Gallery every time I turn on my computer I get a pop up saying Windows try to configure library and then another one that says not found... program on cd-rom... find and install it. I have no idea why this is happening and I can not find that Photo Gallery included in my programs, so that I can remove it.  No idea how to stop this mess?

If you happen to have an HP printer or Scanner, the

  • Cannot remove Windows Photo Gallery

I downloaded some pictures, gave them a name and then later moved into another file and gave them a different name. Now, they keep appearing in my Gallery of Windows and cannot be deleted. How can I get these outside of Gallery Windows? The message indicates that they are in a place that is not available.

In fact, I have Vista. I could use this procedure with Vista also?

Yes, the same solution should work for Vista
    but try the following path.

    C:\Users\>username<\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows photo="" gallery\pictures.pd4="" or="">

Also on your Vista machine, you can find your
    file database with advanced search
for .pd4 or .pd5 depending on your version of
    Photo Gallery.

Reach... Start / Search / Advanced search.

Check the box... "include not indexed, hidden,

on the field and left click on the search button.

Transfer pictures from email received to the windows photo gallery

    Assuming you are using Vista...
Windows Photo Gallery is just an 'intermediate '. Real images are stored in a folder. Usually, it is in the pictures folder.
Click the Start button > right side, click on the photos.

Now, the pictures that you received in the mail came as attachments?
If so, and assuming you are using Windows mail...
Right-click on the "trombone" (attachment) > click on save attachments > place you in the folder of your choice (the destination where the photos will be saved in) > click Save.

Photos are now saved in the folder you selected. For the benefits of others looking for answers, please mark as answer suggestion if it solves your problem.

  • Windows Photo Gallery does not

    Hello

I use Windows Photo Gallery to see all my photos. Recently, when I tried to display a photo (in jpg format) file an error appears and says "error loading C:\ProgramFiles\WindowsPhotoGallery\PhotoViewer.dll the system cannot find message for message number 0 x %1 in the message for %2 file.»

Then when I tried to open the Windows Photo Gallery, this error pops up "cannot find 'C:\ProgramFiles\WindowsPhotoGallery\PhotoViewer.exe' make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again."

I don't remember when this started to happen, but I would be really grateful if someone could help me find a solution. Thank you.

  • I can't open the .jpg files from the desktop using "Windows Photo Gallery" as the default program. They open normally from nowhere elsewhere, but not directly from the desktop. No error, nothing happens.

If I right click 'open with' open with other programs like IE but not "Windows Photo Gallery". It is not a specific .jpg file, this is all .jpg files. For example... I have a .jpg file in a folder on my desktop, open folder double click, it will open in the "Windows Photo Gallery". Copy and paste the SAME file on the desktop, double-click on, nothing happens. I tried to restart, change the default value of IE, open the file, it opens, by default change to "Windows Photo Gallery" doesn't work... I am confused?

    Hello

Welcome to the community of Windows Vista answers.

    Method 1:

This can happen in the database that keeps track of all the photos and videos in your collection is damaged. You can rebuild your database by:

    (2) · Click Start

    (3) · Click on my computer

    (4) · Paste this address into the address field %userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows Live Photo Gallery

    (5) · Right-click Pictures.pd5

    (6) click on rename

    (7) · Change the name of the file to OLD_Pictures.pd5

    (8) · Restart the computer and then try to open the Windows Photo Gallery.

    Method 2:
Try using the tool (SFC.exe) System File Checker to check and repair corrupt system files.  To do this, follow these steps:

    How to run scan SFC

    1. click on the Start button

    2. on the Start Menu, click all programs followed by accessories

    3. in the menu accessories, right-click on command line option

    4. in the drop-down menu that appears, click the "Run as Administrator" option

5 If you have the enabled User Account Control (UAC) you will be asked to consent to the opening of the command line. You simply press the button continue if you are the administrator or insert password etc.

    6. in the command prompt window, type: sfc/scannow then press enter

    7. a message is displayed to indicate that "the analysis of the system will start.

    8. be patient because the analysis may take some time

    9. If all of the necessary files any replacement SFC will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Vista DVD for this process to continue

    10. If all goes although you should, after the analysis, see the following message "Windows resource protection not found any breach of integrity.

11 after the scan finished, close the command prompt window reboot the computer and check.

  • "Windows Explorer" stops working in Windows Photo Gallery

When I'm working with pictures in Windows Photo Gallery on my computer Vista laptop, 9 times out of 10 if I click tab to organize to try to drop his menu, a "ghost" of the tab appears just below and the system hangs.  It comes up with an error message window saying something to the effect that Windows Explorer has stopped working.  If I just right click on an image, a menu appears with the options similar to what I expect of the tab organize, and I can easily do what I must.  But try to let fall the tab menu organize sends the computer behind closed doors, and I have to Ctrl-Alt-Del to start.  This has been a problem for years, and I myself remember well I even tried reinstalling everything once without any positive result.

Research of Windows Explorer in Windows Fix - it goes nowhere;  It keeps articles posting on Internet Explorer, as there is no such animal as 'Windows Explorer'.

Thanks for your suggestions on how to solve this inconvenience.

  • Remove the tags in Windows Photo Gallery

This question is about the photo gallery Windows on a Vista operating system. My question is about the drop-down auto-liste of tags that grows each time you enter a new tag. Handy if you want to use something you've used before but a nuisance if you want to erase it. I figured out how to remove tags on the pictures still on the computer. My question is about the images that have been deleted and is not recoverable. There is always this tag leftover junk that applied to these photos that I deleted. appears whenever you try to add a new tag and resists all efforts to remove it. I contacted gateway computer people since they installed the operating system and got the solutions really wild just to remove the unnecessary tags. I thought that everything you enter, you should be able to delete... just... but this has proved to be a great puzzle. I hate to have to do a restore to original factory specifications and lose everything I've added to this day to get rid of these pesky tags. In addition, it simply repeats the problem unless I have find how to remove the little monsters.

    I hope someone can help...

    Hi Jo,.

It's a good thing to be careful when you edit the registry.  In your case, as the registry key seems to be very specific to the Windows Photo Gallery, we can export the folder safely we are change.  Be sure to close the Windows Photo Gallery before you start.

    • Click the ball to Start .
    • Type regedit in the box start the search.
    • Navigate through the folders on the left at the following key:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Gallery\Library\PreviewPane\LabelAssignment\MRU photo

    • Right click on the folder MRU in the left hand window and choose export.
    • Give it a file name (no matter what you name it) and save to the desktop.
    • In the right window, you will see keys named MRU00, MRU02, MRU03 etc...
    • Right-click on these keys and click on delete.

Once you are finished, close the registry editor by clicking the x in the upper right and restart your computer.  When she returns to the top, open the Windows Photo Gallery and see if the tags are gone.

If you receive errors of ANY opening of photo gallery, simply, do a right click on the file that you have already saved on the desktop and choose Import.  That will undo any changes that we have made.

Please let me know if that helps.
