To stay connected or not keeping connected is the question.

New MacBook Air.  I got contradictory information and read some institutions.  So, is it 1) only use the adapter when the battery, but not by using the system, or the 2) use the system regularly running off of the adapter, or 3) a combination of, say a week, running off of the adapter for a time and then running the battery?

A single use plan would be to use on the current when you're on a power outlet. Use the battery when portability is required.

  • iPhone will not stay connected to the internet?

    * Posted on MacRumors forums but no answers *.

So basically since a few days my phone sometimes don't remain not connected to the internet network of BT-Hub3. I connect to it and then sometimes, it will stay connected for a minute for a few seconds and then disconnect. When I go to the wifi thing it seems available to connect to. After a couple of times that to happen, it will say wrong password (this is the password) and disconnect me and then I have to type the password. Repeat to infinity. It's honestly so frustrating.

Sometimes it will stay and be fine but his is happened twice in the last few days and never happened before with any phone I've had.

I try my phone with my BT-Hub4 internet network and it will stay connected. The only problem with this is that the internet is further (bottom), so has a low connection that does not charge anything unless I lean on my bed.

Initially, I assumed my internet pick, but I'm typing this I am connected to the network BT-Hub3 without disconnect him, even once.

I had the phone for a year and 2 months (previous owner had since October/November/December in the year of release) and recently got a replacement of the unofficial battery if this of any help. I also still have my phone on the low power mode. The phone always properly connect to the BT-Hub3 network even with unofficial battery and low power however mode.

I had several other problems with the phone (camera, apps download not heat no reason apparent, random battery drains despite the new battery in just 3 months and has the same problem with the battery, slow Touch ID that apparently is not normal), which most recently happened.

I had all the settings to reset a week or two ago but surely if who messed with my settings internet I would have had the internet issue earlier? Not sure if I should try to reset the network settings. I hate this and only do if I need to.

One last note, I have the latest version of iOS so ignore saying his 9.3.2 on

    Hi pinkdolphins0400,

Thanks for posting in the communities of Support from Apple! I understand that you are having problems with your iPhone does not stay connected to your internet connection at home. I use my home Wi - Fi network to stay connected, so I use all the cell data, if I can understand wanting to make sure that you are able to stay in touch. I am pleased to provide you with a few suggestions for you.

The first thing I recommend you do is follow the steps described in the following article. It seems that you have already experienced some of these steps, but I want to be sure that you have covered everything.

If your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch connects to a Wi - Fi network

Since you mentioned that your iPhone will stay connected to your network to another, you can take a look at the network settings for the one that you are having problems staying connected to. Article below provides information about network configurations suggested for Apple devices. You can also check with the manufacturer for your BT 3 - Hub see if there are updates that must be performed. This can cause problems with disconnects.

Recommended settings for the WiFi routers and access points

For other problems you mentioned (apps do not download, camera, battery draining, contact ID, etc.) reset settings was a big step in troubleshooting to try. If these things are always happening, I recommend making a backup of your iPhone and then restore it via iTunes. The backup will ensure that your data is saved. When you perform the restore via iTunes, you'll want to set up as a new device (temporarily), and then test it. Once you test, you can try to restore your backup. You can find all of the information below, you will need.

The backup of your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch

Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings

Restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch from a backup

  • Cannot stay connected to the network, even after replacing my old router.

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite L655 is one year old and its operating system is Windows 7 home Premium I have Comcast internet service and use a NetGear wireless router.

Recently, about 2 months ago I got this router in Comcast, in replacement of my old 1. Why I asked that a new router was the former 1 had problems to stay connected to the internet. The problem persisted even with the new router so I look at it is not not a problem with Comcast or the router. I tried resetting the connection, the son, restart the router, diagnostics running on my laptop and are not yet able to resolve the problem. I run disc optimization, defragment the hard drive, run many virus / spyware scans and tried to disable startup programs as much as possible. This problem has frustrated me for months and I want to get it resolved. It sucks paying all that money for equipment and service and there not work directly without having to spend more money, which I have unfortunately not yet. Any help is very appreciated.

(Moderator note: title was "network programs network networking Internet Web site Site Web Web Site URL")

My Dell laptop that was purchased in March, 2012, had no problems to connect to the internet until recently.  Now it connects the morning, but stop connection from about 18:00.  Why is happening.  My router is Lynksys.

    Margaret,

I guess that your laptop will connect to your wireless router.

If your laptop loses connectivity each day at roughly at the same time (18:00), then the problem could be due to the interference of the networks your neighbor's wireless.

There is a setting in your router for the channel to use for traffic wireless (channel 0 to 11).

If you can find this setting, then change it. The best channels to use (with less interference) are 0, 6, and 11. Your router is probably set to one of these three (but can be assigned to any channel between 0 and 11). Change the string parameter (and try 0, 6 or 11... that we're different from the one that is currently in your router).

If you can't control the settings of your router, try to do a google search on the brand of your router (linksys), model and word settings... you should be able to find a description on how to change the settings.

If you want to get into more technical details, use the free utility called inSSIDer... it can be used to see exactly what interference your wireless router is your neighbors... to help see you in the selection of a channel which is not used by your neighbors.

I have a Gateway with Windows 8 computer is installed.  I installed Dreamweaver CS5 to manage my Web site, and it will remain not connected to the server.  Also, it will not play flash and said I need a flash plug-in.  Help, please

#1, try the FTP mode passive switching power in the definition of your remote server site.

#2 with the exception of a handful of gaming sites, Flash is a web technology dead.  It is not taken care of by iPhone, iPad, iTouch, Android, etc...  I don't recommend to use Flash for anything these days.  Better to use HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS level 3.

I tried to disable the Add-ons, safe boot mode, but it does not help. It didn't happen in another site, but because I've only visited the site for the first time recently, I can say that I did not any changes to firefox just before or after.

I have the ability to use Google Chrome, but I don't like not really her - thats why FF is the default browser. I have also post comments on Forums and newspaper stories and find Lazare very useful if I am stopped when writing a piece. Now, Lazarus works brilliantly in Firefox but doesn't seem to work in GC. In my opinion, a good balance is to allow all cookies, but expires them at the end of the current session by changing your story custom options to:

So if there are sites that you do NOT want to be disconnected of the sessions, add those as exceptions, either by using the Exceptions on this same tab, or about: permissions (note the colon between subject and permissions), or the Page Info (Tools menu or right click) dialog box.

  • Problem to stay connected to the internet through the wireless router.

I'm having a strange problem.  My computer will stay connected wireless for anywhere between 2-30 minutes before losing connectivity.  However, it works when I plug it into the router, which is what I'm doing now.  I have tried everything I can think of to eliminate the problem, but it has not changed.  Usually, once it shuts down it will stay off until I have change the frequency of router or something.  Reset the router works every time some time, but nothing is definitely the problem.

I disabled ipv6, reset the router, update windows, restarted several times that I have unplugged router and modem, reconfigured frequency channel of the router, among other things.

It must be a problem with my computer because my roommate both have computers that are working properly.  In addition, it is a relatively new problem.  I've had my computer for a few months now and it has worked well up until that 2 days ago.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

I would try the underside and then if no joy try a system restore to before this happened - don't worry
the system restore without the bottom as the issue will probably come back. And if you always do
a system restore and then repeat the underside when even because all will be back to old drivers and settings.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please do this 1 and repeat if you need to do a system restore:

Actually try updating your driver and disabling the network logon.

Control Panel - network - write down of the brand and the model of the Wifi - double click top - tab of the driver - write
version - click the driver update (cannot do something that MS is far behind the pilots of certification). Then
Right click on the Wifi device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver stack.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

You can download several at once however restart after the installation of each of them.

After watching the system manufacturer, you can check the manufacturer of the device an even newer version. (The
manufacturer of system become your backup policies).

Repeat for network (NIC) card and is a good time to get the other updated drivers as Vista like
    updated drivers.

I would also turn off auto update for the drivers. If the updates Windows suggests a just HIDE as they

Make sure you know the details of connection to your wireless router - SSID and password.

You lose connection when you do and have to redo your logon.

Control Panel - Network & Sharing Center - right, click Customize - page set of network locations.

  • Atheros 5007 won't stay connected to the Netgear WNR3500 router internal wireless

I just bought a new laptop Compaq CQ60-420us (nw156ua) a week ago. Machine comes with Vista Home Premium and I installed Win7 rc1 64 on another partition.

Initially I could not it remains connected to my router for more than 15 minutes approximately. I just press the wireless button to turn it off and turn it back on. Who would fix it for about 15 minutes.

I called HP support, they tried many things including for me to do a factory restore.  They finally decide to send me a new wireless card. I received the new card yesterday, had it installed and it is essential to do the same thing. Last night, I dug an older linksys wireless router that I have used in the past. Hooked upward and the laptop stays connected to her very well. I had the wpa security enabled on the linksys routers both netgear.

Then, I went to the netgear router and disabled security. It is very well connected. Not sure if wep security will allow him to work. I refuse to use just the wep security. It is easily hackable. And of course I will not let it be secure.

So it seems to be a compatibility issue between my router netgear wrn3500 and the atheros 5007 wireless card security. The router has the latest version of the installed software package.

I guess I'll call HP tonight and see if they can send me a different brand/model wireless card. All my other wireless devices work fine with this netgear router. I don't want to get rid of the cause of netgear, this is a gigabit & Wireless N router.

Does anyone know of any other mini pci express card that works with my laptop? I would get a card N. I thought maybe the intel wifi link 5100 card. Not sure if those who are compatible with HP or not.

    Thank you!

When I called HP back support, they were completely useless. Everything I tried to ask them is if they could just give me a list of wireless pci-express cards that would be compatible with my laptop. They did not understand my problem and could not give me a list. I wanted to the list because I read several times that HP has a 'white list' cards that will work with their motherboards. If you put a card that isn't on the list you will receive a message to remove the card from the bios when you turn on the machine. I checked this by testing the intel 5100 card on my laptop and it gave me this message.

Oh btw, it's MUCH safer these days to update the bios of your computer, it was many years ago. I do all the time and have never had a 'brick' on me. Even safer on a laptop with a battery in good condition. In fact I recommend it as part of your troubleshooting process. That will not fix the problem tho atheros wireless.

However, in the end, I was able to operate pretty well no thanks to HP!

I had to buy another card Atheros tho. It was the 5009 Atheros. And it's a card N I so was able to get with my router N 300mbs speed!

I found it on ebay for about $25 plus delivery charges. Oh and these cards are VERY easy to replace. There is a door on the bottom of the laptop with a captive screw - remove the door, then another screw which holds the card down. 2 drivers who commit on the 2 connectors on the map - the map out on the right.

This card worked very well for me I highly recommend to solve the problem with shit card atheros 5007.

Unfortunately, my laptop was stolen 2 weeks ago! (it was only 2 months old!) Some loser scumbag broke in with me so that I was at work and stole my laptop and my LCD 24 ''!

I've had this laptop for $350 new Staples. I can't find a similar agreement now.

Don't know if I'll go with HP\Compaq after what I went through just to make it work wireless...

  • Photosmart B210e stay connected to the PC (wireless)

    Hello

I'll give you my specs first:

HP Windows 7 64 bit hard PC connected to the security of WPA-PSK/w N + Router Belkin Wireless.  The printer is connected to the network wireless about 15 feet from the router.

I have problems with my Photosmart B210e stay connected to my computer.  The only way I can get my computer to see my printer is to restart the printer.  After the printer starts I can print from my computer for about 10 minutes.  After that the computer can no longer maintain a connection with the printer.  According to the screen on the printer, I'm always connected to the network, but when I try to print I always get an error to the effect of the computer cannot establish a connection with the printer.  I have to restart the printer if I want to print again.  I don't have another computer to install the printer, but I can send an e-mail to my printer from my phone which will print when my computer does not see my printer.

I had the printer for a little over a year and it has always done.  I don't post things very often, but I still don't think it is necessary to be able to the printer whenever I want to print cycle.

According to the Product Support page there is an update for my printer.  When I try to update the printer from the screen, he says: my printer is up to date.  I tried to update several times and it has NEVER been an option to update, so unless that updates are automatically applied I'm not sure why my printer cannot find the update.  On the product page there are also drivers of the 11/2010.  I bought my printer from Best Buy in 01/2011 so I don't know if I have the latest drivers.  However when I try to download and install the installation always fails me give no description as to why it failed.  He told me then it downloads a solution to the problem and installs an icon on my desktop.  As soon as I click on this icon, it says that it cannot be used because there is no internet connection, which is not true because I can open a browser and surfing very well.

-J' tried to activate power saving mode that didn't work.

-J' I attmepted to run the HP network diagnostic utility.  If I run it, as soon as I start the printer it works and shows that there are no errors, if I wait 10 minutes and try to run it does not find my printer.

-J' I attmepted my printer of the assign a static IP address, I still have the same issues

I'd appreciate any help that could be given, thanks for your time.

Routers Belkin have had some problems with HP printers.  Make sure your Belkin has the latest firmware.  Use the Belkin CD to do this.

As of the end of the wireless lan or the wireless internet to my laptop works intermittently or not at all. I am running Windows XP Home edition Media. The laptop used to connect to my router wirelessly with no problems and stay connected. I did all the evil that shooting the self-help site Dell says to do. I have another laptop in Vista that will connect to the same router without problem so I'm pretty sure is not the router. When the connection is de-energized, I go to the network connections page and see that the wireless network connection has a red X through it. • Cannot stay connected to the internet

I have an Inspiron E1505 w / windowXP.  I use an Intel Pro wireless connection. Through a Linksys router.  When on AOL or IE, I get finally starts off.   Sometimes, but rarely I can stay connected for an hour of time it starts me after 5 min.  All the various moments. Sometimes it boots me to the blue screen.  I have connected via ethernet directly and did not have this problem.  This problem has been for about a month or two, the previous year that it worked perfectly.  So I guess it's in my wireless connection.  A Tech asked me to completely restore my computer but I am hesitant to start it if it could be something to the difficulty. I restore to a checkpoint two months back.  This did not help.   Any ideas?

  • IMac stay connected to the printer

I bought a HP Photosmart C310 Wi - Fi.  I got it all working with a small defect.  The IMac will print to him once and then the next time show printer as "offline".  The two PC see it very well all the time.  If I turn printer off and on again, Imac prints anything in Quebec, then reads ready until you want to print again.  He then tries to locate the printer and then comes with offline.  IMac reads and remains connected to the router wireless internet access.  Also, I am new to the Mac world, am looking for solutions.  Someone told me it?

    I did the reset.

I found my problem.  I guess I thought that given that the computer had located the printer she had 'found' all the right settings.  In a way trail and error, I found that I had to change the Protocol when adding the printer.  I had not noticed the drop-down date menu button (go figure).  Changed to "HP Jetdirect - socket.  Default value is 'Line Printer Daemon - LPD'.

Thank you for your time and your suggestions.
