  I tried to update on my M30X with ATI as well but no luck. It appears as wrong size ROM too. Maybe I should try the traditional method and see how it goes.

  Why update the BIOS crashed and why you did an update?

  Anyway, what you can download from Toshiba Web site is the latest version of the BIOS with the update program that is based on Windows. I've never seen other versions of BIOS only and it would be useless because the new version is more stable and corrects the most problems.

  Maybe you can get the original BIOS file to an authorized service so get in touch with the guys.
  Normally they can reflash the ROM module for you because they have professional tools. :)

• Satellite P300 - stuttering with new BIOS and drivers for sound card

  I have Toshiba laptop Satellite P300 (PSPCCE) with Vista and the latest patches installed.
  Everything was working ok until I installed the last set of patches, has been the Tempro alert about them. I installed the new BIOS (3.40) and card drivers his (Conexant 4.83.1.0) and now all the minutes I see spike high CPU spike freezing enemy of system one or two seconds.

  I see in Process Explorer these spikes are caused by the system and that usually means drivers.

  I think that you should use the most recent version and it s a v4.83.1.0. It seems that the v4.36.10.0 was published also, but in this case, it s always recommended to take a newer version.

  With regard to the system of freezing for a second or two:
  I think that this might be related to some background processes. Perhaps a process that runs in the context of the Vista operating system causes this tiny interruptions.

  Of my knowledge tool Tempro runs in the background and scans the system and HARD drive.
  You can check the processes in MSCONFIG and if necessary may disable some of the trials.

  Thanks for the reply. Please try to run the HP Support Assistant for updating the BIOS. If HP Support Assistant does not have the update, then there may not be any newer BIOS for your laptop.

  Dell does not provide the BIN files.

  Did you / they tried to erase the BIOS?

  1. Power off, unplug
  2. Power button press / hold for about 15 seconds
  3. Open the case and remove the motherboard battery
  4. Power button press / hold for about 30 seconds
  5. (Good idea to use compressed air to clean any dust while you're here)
  6. Reinstall the battery - use a fresh CR2032 (~ $2.00) battery if the existing one is old
  7. Case and see if it boots now

When you choose file > new epub file and I choose a model, epub models are not available. No idea why? No work around? I don't see why I can't create an epub from an any epub.

  I don't think that iBA has the functionality you need.  You start with a model of epub and add things to it.

  You must use another application to edit your original epub.  Apple won't do anything for this AFAIK.

  I also downloaded this BIOS and find the CHGBIOSA. EXE and BIOFC30T.com files.
  I put t know why you need the binary file of the BIOS, but the two files in the folder should allow you to create a BIOS disk drive that is needed to update the BIOS!
