Hi oldtrout,.

I understand that the green ink roll is covered with ink.

I'll be happy to help you.

Touch the drum on the toner will ruin the toner.

You can run a cleaning of the printer, but looks like the toner need to be replaced.

What printer do you have?

How can I find my model number or product number?

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums.
Have a wonderful day!

  • 54.2 error on HP M175NW MFP

    Hello

    HP M175NW MFP - printer
    Product number CE866A
O/s-64-bit of Windows 7 Home Premium

    Hello

I bought this printer about a week ago and came to change the cyan cartridge today. It seemed to install correctly, but then an error message came up saying that black toner has not been installed correctly.  I decided to try and remove/reinstall the black, but when I turned the carousel she would stop at the cartridges C, M and Y but overflow and divided black cyan.

I tried putting off tension so to disconnect, but now I get an error 54.2 and the Squeak you get with problems of carousel. He asked me to pass on but nothing changes. If I try and press the button carousel so that 54.2 error is on the screen, he turns into an error 49 (failed firmware), then returns to the 54.2 after one minute.

If I open the hatch that the cartridges are not in a position to release - the handle is turned down in the body of the printer.

He printed long before that (although I also had ghosts of the questions that I'm not happy to).

I tried the troubleshooting section for this model on the HP site but the 54.2 is not yet listed (even if it's for the series 4500 and 4550, which is pretty useless)

I hope someone can help - thanks in advance

  • C1765 done yellow toner a printer roller noise rattling and the printer does not work

Hear a clicking noise when printing.  Replaced the yellow toner and the rattling is still strong and the printer will not work.  The noise and the vibration felt on the new toner only occurs with the yellow toner.  What is happening, is the printer goes wrong.  "low density, yellow to replace the cartridge, printer restart" I just put in a new cartridge.

    Hello David,.

Please post on the forum. According to the information you provided, it looks like you have a mechanical failure within the printer itself. This device is more compact and carriers Dell limited parts, the best option at this stage would be to replace the printer. It is the course of action we would take if the product is under warranty.

    Kind regards

  • My printer HP LaserJet 1536dnf printer prints black pages after replacing the toner with a new one!

I changed the toner cartridge for my printer HP LaserJet 1536dnf with a genuine HP toner cartridge and now it's printing the pages in black.  Any suggestions on how to fix this?

    Thank you!

    Hi @Beaglemom49779,.

I see by your post that you have replaced the toner and now get all black pages. I can help you with this.

Have you had the same problem with the printer before replacing the toner?

It could be a hardware or with the printer fuser problem.

If the problem started just after replacing the toner then most likely, the toner.

Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector)

Number one cause of problems with toner.

Check if the drum unit for damage:

    1. remove the cartridge of toner product and check that the tape has been removed.
    2. check the memory chip for damage.
3 examine the surface of the imaging drum on the bottom of the toner cartridge.
CAUTION: Do not touch the roller (Imaging drum) on the bottom of the cartridge.

His fingerprints on the imaging drum can cause print quality problems.
    4. If you see the scratches, fingerprints, black on the drum, or any other damage on the imaging drum, replace toner.
    5. If the imaging drum does not appear to be damaged, rock the toner cartridge gently several times and reinstall it. Print a few pages to see if the problem is resolved.

  • CP2025: physically cleaning CP2025 ink roll

Ink red stripes sometimes my copies.  Not the cartridge as I changed it out.  The control panel cleaning cartridge does not.   Notice that the horizontal roll back printer has accumulated red ink on it.   Can I clean this roller with rubbing alcohol?  If not alcohol, how can I clean the roller?

I would not recommend using any cleaning solution or chemical of any kind on a transfer roller. Also, while cleaning the roller with a dry cloth, you can deform the surface and your impressions will not clear and sharp, be extremely careful with this component.

If you want to test to see if the secondary transfer roller is actually put toner on the paper, just some white sheets of printing paper and see if the toner is on the back of their. It is normal that the transfer rollers get toner on them over time.

It is the steamroller you're talking about?

You can get the show together above for about US $30. try searching with the manufacturer HP RM1-4838-000. It is likely that the magenta cartridge that you in place had something dirty the cleaning squeegee, causing toner continually put on the transfer belt resulting in this magenta toner get on your secondary transfer roller, as well as other locations inside the printer. I had to disassemble these printers before and remove the transfer belt to get the printer toner spills, so they could reprint cleanly.

  • Quality of rpint HP Laserjet color faded to the right of the page, toner cartridge the culprit

    Thus, a resolute quirk.

My HP Laserjet 3800dtn produced pages in which the colors are washed out or did not go to the right margin.  Various associated software HP print diagnostic and diagnostics pages feel integrated, product pages with the same problem.  The colors on the right do not appear, but the black characters, text, graphic appears.

At first, I thought it was the length of the USB cable, so I went to an Ethernet connection and run all the tests again and got the same results.

So I took one of the toner cartridges and replaced by a new.  The same problem.  Then, and what a weird coincidence, I discovered that there are two somewhat 'heavy duty' springs on each side of the toner cartridge that works with the door (shadow) on the roller.   One of the springs was detached.  But it just not a not dislodge, because the position whereby the spring attached (a little nub) is broken.

My conclusion is that the door opened only partially, and therefore the toner is never properly transferred to one side.

Maybe I broke the node with some brutal manipulations, maybe a new one was defective, that it is I got two defective cartridges.

However, not wanting to throw a + $100 cartridge, I stuck the spring and post and allowed him to dry overnight.

Reinserted the fixed cartridge and everything of fine.

    Just sharing.

    An update more.

    Among the repaired 'bumps' failed.

So I heated a thin nail, and he passed through the plastic in the area where the 'essential' existed.

The, using fine wires, I threaded the wire through the hole of very small diameter and attached to spring for the plastic.

Yes, success... another cartridge saved from an ignominious early elimination.

  • LaserJet M401dn: Cause orders M401dn toner mess

    Hi all

I use a HP LaserJet M401dn print orders.  To secure the requirements, we have a tray locked for prescriptions (part of 500 sheets, Troy M401 course tray # 0220629001).  Prescriptions are 4 inches x 5.5 inches (portrait orientation).  Problem is after a certain time deposit of toner in the printer on both sides of the prescription.  I guess it's because printers and cartridges are made to print 8.5 inches wide, and prescriptoins are only 4 inches of width.  So two bad things happen:

    (1) If you print from the tray #2 ('regular' paper from the printer tray), you end up with almost black for 1.5 inches on both sides of the page.  I can show a digitized image of it.

    (2) anything printed, paper prescriptions or 8.5 x 11 inches, is dirty with toner visible stains all over someone ' u feel.  There are also two vertical lines in the whole of the prescription.

If you open the printer and remove and examine the toner cartride, you see toner placed on both sides of the roller (blue).  If you clean it, it will reappear after a few prints.  In the printer, below the toner cartridge, you can see little piles of toner especially to the sides.  If you clean (takes a LOT of cleaning and there are sharp items here that may stick you between your fingers and nails, OUCH! #%! #$!), vertical lines will remain but there will be no form of toner for 3-5 prints, so there happen all.

Anyone have any suggestions?  Using prescriptions on perforated 8.5 x 11-inch paper is not a good solution because a) they cost four times more, and b) there is a lot of work to tear four perforations for each prescription.  Otherwise, I'll try either replace the toner (despite the fact that it is always full and I buy real HP toners at 3-4 x the price of the 3rd part), or I'll look for a Deskjet if they make one with a locking plate.

    Thank you

    -Alex Flaxman, MD

The dealer of the printer told me that the culprit was a faulty toner.  I replaced it, and the problem solved.

It has HP brand toner.  I contacted HP and they gave me a case number and told me to contact anyone / whenever I bought it.  I bought a pack of four by NewEgg.  Unfortunately, it was long enough ago that I can't make a return by them.  Well, it did not last long.

    Thanks for your reply,

    -Alex

  • Toner rubbing off on 9040dn printer

    Hello

I am a desktop support technician and I have a problem with a 9040dn printer.  The letters on the print feel raised, and if you rub it for a few seconds, it will start to come off.  This happens mainly when using bond paper, but some using plain.  I've tried three different ovens, I have replaced the transfer roller and toner cartridge, and I tried the printer on another take, all to nothing does not.  I am at a loss.  Food does not enough heat fuser unit to merge the toner properly?  Any help on this would be appreciated.

    Thank you

Just checked our guide service, might as well check the latter before you buy a part

13.03.00 2, END OF PAPER JAM POWER

When we print from the manual feed tray (Tray 1).

I cleaned the printer with canned air. The teeth of the gear I checked wasn't chipped. I found only when the envelope feeder is installed, jams. The paper does not attend the merger or the toner cartridge unit. While pulling upward on the envelope feeder, or with it deleted entirely, lables shoot and print correctly.

My current thinking is that the envelope feeder, being a bit heavy, something deformation over time and closed the distance to all paper roll 1 tray. I tried to hold the folded paper on the side to give the envelope feeder some lift, but I didn't so far.

Any ideas? A new set of collection 1 paper tray could even help here?

  • LaserJet 1020: Re-install the roller in LaserJet 1020

The paper was not trained on my 1020 LaserHet.   I used the instructions in this video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TvPZySVX8Zc - to remove and clean the drive roller.

I removed the roller and cleaned.  I can't re - install the drive roll.  I made an attempt to re - install the roll, put back ink cartridge and print a sample page.  The printer makes a mechanical sound hard, so I stoppped printing.

I'm trying to identify the problem.  I noticed that before I removed the roller, the small tabs of white on each side of the roll are found above the rotating metal bar that holds the roller.

    Now, the tabs are lower.

I can't put the circular and rectangular holes on the roll in place to install correctly.  (I guess I don't align properly when I tried first to re - install them.)

Any ideas on what I can do to fix this and re-stable roll?

    Thank you

    Barbara

cycle power on the printer once and I hope that the pick up Assembly turn the roller in the right position.

TO replace the turn off the printer and unplug unit, then remove the toner cartridge, you can manually rotate the roll holder around the right position.

try turning off the printer one some time first of all, it should get back in the right position

Devriez abandon you, because your assertion that hearing is for music, a machine of the organization rather than a creation is absolutely correct. If FL do what you want, why don't you stick with it? It may seem to be exactly the kind of application, you must use for this. Hearing does what it does very well; It didn't need a load of things in there creating the music at all. With the best will in the world, he could catch up, and this isn't really the game that adobe should be with her. As far as I am concerned, he should not have lunch at all - it was a bad shot.

You mean that the phase of pumping? Or you are looking for just an old TV effect (bad reception, video)? For the latter, do a Google search. There are a ton of tutorails and presets for her. For a simple phase of pumping, you just move a gradient continuous acrross the screen, which can be done easily with a ramp before compound effect and a tile to move above this one. And until you get too creative, change direction: remember, electrons from the cathode ray travel strictly top down, so any angular behavior is simply caused by the time differential between the lines, not the RADIUS giving a dance limbo or something...
