too big and offset printing

All my documents printed on by F4580 are too big to fit on the page (such as the 125% or more) and shift to the right.  Was started after I increased the size of a certificate to fill the page, but I can't retrace my steps to shrink down.  It is rampant in Word, Excel, jpg, etc...

Welcome to the HP Forum.

You are at half way to know the answer.  The trick is in the balance: 125%.  The smile.

The size of the output is generally managed in mode print - preview in browsers AND Word.

You may need to change your DPI settings. See the link below:

Make the text on the screen larger or smaller
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/make-the-text-on-your-screen-larger-or-smaller
You can make text and other items, such as the icons on your screen easier to see by making them bigger. This by increasing the dots per inch (DPI) scale. You can also decrease the DPI scale to make text and other items on your screen smaller, so that more information fits on the screen.

If at the end you can not click on the button 'OK' because it is hidden, press your 'Enter' key (OK is defined as the default value).

    Hi Shilohgold,

Generally, this problem is caused because of the video card related questions. I would like to know some information about this problem so that we can help you further.

1 update you are trying to install? (Mention the number of KB)

    2. do you get any error code or error message?

Try the following steps to verify that update failed recently.

    a. press Windows + Q keys.

    b. type view update history in the search option.

    c. click view update history .

    d. research update failed recently.

I suggest you try to update the video card drivers from the Web site of the manufacturer of the computer or from Windows Update and check if it works for you. This has the same step in troubleshooting provided in the original post, but here I add steps so that it can be easy for you to update the drivers.

See Microsoft Help next to update a hardware driver that is not working properly.

Please reply with the status of the issue so that we can better help you.

  • I had just installed Windows 7. I always play Scrabble on Pogo games but now the screen is too big and it cuts the bottom of the screen in the game and I see not the letters I have haveto choose. Any suggestions please.

Suggestions as to how I can get the screen is smaller.  I also play hearts, spades and crib.  These screens are also too big, but it is not cut off from the important things.

    Hi Rangerlone88,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!

Do you get the display only problem with the games online, or also on the desktop?

What browser do you use to go online?

If you use Internet Explorer, you can check the level of zoom in the bottom right of the screen and set it to your liking.

You can also try to optimize Internet Explorer.

    1. Open Internet Explorer.
    2. Click Security, and then click delete browsing history.
    3. In delete the browsing history area, click Remove.

A progress bar is displayed to indicate that the browsing history is currently disabled. Once this process is complete, test Internet Explorer to verify that it works correctly.

  • Pictures too dark and faded printing

My photos processed in Lightroom and Photoshop CC is absolutely superb on the home screen. When I had paper copies of the photo shop, they were extremely dark and faded.

It was such a big difference that I ache to believe than the settings in Photoshop is so terribly wrong.

Someone has any advice what configuration in Photoshop / optimum color settings?

    Best regards

    Terje Helberg

It seems that if you give them ProPhoto files and their printing process is not color management.

Try to convert it to sRGB and see if it's better. You must always send on sRGB if you do not know how the files are processed.

  • After installation of CC first update icons and work surface became too big and cannot be change in small

Hi, ich have installed the new update first Pro CC cloud today. Well, I canoe understand, why all the icons are too big now and I can't do the little ones. If anyone knows what I'm talkig about, please help. Thank you

I just found the reason why it happened. My settings for the font in Windows was 125%. I just wanted to get the icons something grand and its better to read the writing of 125%. Now, I put the view to 100%. Fonts and icons first has also become smaller. This approach is now... This is not the ideal solution, because I need to change the size of my screen every time I do not use first. I don't know why, that did not affect the previous version. Apparently because of the support for high-deffinitions screens. in any case, thank you.

  • I did my DPI too big and now I can't get it back to a size better because the button 'ok' or 'apply' is less where the cursor can reach. Help! How can I fix?

I have done the too large font, which made it impossible for me to fix it because the essential buttons are way below where the cursor can reach to change the size of fonts (DPI and resolution).

BOTTOM LINE: My desktop icons are so big that they're overlapping eachother, almost everything else is so great that superimposes itself also on printing.  I can't figure out what to do to solve this problem.  I know where I'm going to change the size, but because I did everything if great, that my cursor cannot reach the size change button.

Your topic (title) indicates that you can access the IPR window and you can click on scale 96 DPI, but you can't go to apply or OK. Yes?

If this is the case, you don't have to reach the buttons apply or OK.

Simply press the Enter key. It is the same as clicking on apply or OK.

  • Desktop is now too big and cluttered with unnecessary icons

A friend recently installed Windows XP Professional. His office is now more size (it has vertical/horizontal scrollbars) & office space is filled with icons on every restart that he returned to a folder every time. How can this be addressed? (Thanks in advance!) :)

    Hello

This could be for a few reasons...

    1. The screen resolution is set too low
    2. The graphics device driver is not installed

    Reason no. 1:

    • Click with the right button on a part empty your desktop, and then click Properties
    • Click on the settings tab
    • Drag the slider to the right
    • Click OK

This should give the native resolution of your monitor. If not you may need to get the latest drivers for graphics (reason 2).

    Reason 2:

    • Click Start
    • Click on run
    • Type devmgmt.msc and press enter
    • Enlarge (click on +) cards of the screen section

If the graphics card is displayed in Standard VGA mode then you need to install the drivers for your graphics card. The same is true if there is no graphics listed, but there is a list under other devices.

If you need help finding drivers we need to know your model of graphics card. If the chart is embedded (that is built into the motherboard) we need the make and model of your PC or motherboard.

  • Icons and type suddenly too big and broad

In the middle of a PowerPoint presentation the other day, the type and icons on my screen, everything changed resolution. Windows icons on my desktop are now enlarged, any type is blurry and Gmail and other windows open too wide. I can't understand how to undo some changes have occurred. What is the best way to format my computer to default mode (small icons, strong resolution) that has existed for years before this PP presentation?

    Hello

There are a few things you can try:

    Change the resolution of the screen;

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/change-screen-resolution

If that fixed it, go to the website of your computer manufacturer > drivers download Section > then key in your computer model number > find your operating system > find two graphics / video or from the Chipset drivers and download and install.

Then try to change the screen resolution.

Or do a system restore to before that happened.

  • my registration is too big and the bottom and the top of the page entry is also

don't know how to fix this problem.  page is too large for the screen and I have to scroll it to be

    Hello

Right click on desktop - customize - display settings - Set resolution.

Right click on desktop - customize - top left adjust font size (DPI)

CTRL + mouse wheel works ZOOM

CTRL + and CTRL - work ZOOM in and out

Your mouse/touchpad probably incorporates a ZOOM to it.

Your system also has a magnifier built in which could be a problem - it can be as often
programmed to work on the mouse/keyboards.

How to turn on the Magnifier On or Off in Vista
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/125037-Magnifier-turn-off.html

To see if your mouse/touchpad is set to ZOOM or enlarge use Control Panel - mouse.

The TouchPad (if you have one) probably also has Hotkey controls so check with system
manufacturer support, online documentation and their forums, where appropriate.

In Internet Explorer, click the number in the lower right between the + and the arrow pointing down - value 100 v.

    Or SEE - ZOOM - to 100

    I hope this helps.

  • Im import clip is too big and too big in the window of the program in the community exported

Hi all, would appreciate any help you guys im going around the bend-im on a friends machine and try PP5 for the first time.

I have a clip im trying to export with two other clips in the same order. The clip is a .mov, 1920 x 1080 file.

When I click right on the other two clips (Mpegs, 320 x 240) and hit the framework scale, all goes very well for them in the export and they fit too perfectly in the window of the program. But for some reason any when I do with the clip above, there are many missing on the edges. I am even the creation of the project have 1920: 1080 (16:9) before you start.

Also, when I import the clip incriminated in the source window it automatically assigns 50% and it is perfectly viewable in 50% (if I change the window source to 100% I can't see the whole picture in the source window). But 50 per cent of the program window, it is still cutting huge quantities around the edges.

Can someone please help and suggest some remedy for this? It makes me crazy. See you soon
