tools of healing spots

my adobe photoshop cs6 is absent from all the tools of healing spots. I'm completely lost...

Try resetting all the tools. Left corner of the top toolbar.

Then try to reset the workspace. In the dropdown to choose the workspace is the option to reset.

Finally, restore preferences. Ctrl alt shift on Windows or cmd opt shift on Mac like Photoshop starts.

  • Why is there not a drop down menu on the healing tool and the tool of healing spot on my CC

I'm under CC and I am up to date with all updates.  I look at tutorials and I noticed that on 2 of my tools; Healing & healing spot brush have no flyout menu drop-down available, however in the tutorial, the menu clearly has the drop-down list on this subject? Also, I used the perspective distortion, and I could not use ctrl-click according to the tutorial.  Does make a difference that I said that I was a newbie when I downloaded CC? If I reinstall as expert will be having different content?

Brush and Spot Healing brush of healing is both under the red eye tool:

  • Remove/heal spot LR 5 tool does not show the selected area

A week back, I installed LR 5 on my MBP 15 inch retina. My laptop has a great hardware to run LR5. The problem I encountered was with the remove spot/heal tool. It goes as below.

I selected the Spot removal tool and set the mode to HEAL and then selected a box on my image. In many tutorials, I have seen that the selected area appears as a circle with white border with an arrow pointing to another circle. But in my case, its invisible all. Same problem happened when I selected CLONE mode. I am attaching a video to illustrate the issue.

Could someone help me understand what is happening? I'm new to LR, but I like the software and want to invest time and money in it. However, these questions, I am little panic and do not know if this software is value of these investments.

    Thanks to you all.

Try to use the spot Healing Brush, when I try to click and drag, she did give me one place.  It will not drag on a surface.  I have not had this problem before.  I am running CS5 on a Toshiba laptop.  Tried to check the updates, but received the error "the server may be down.  I rebooted the computer several times, hoping... no change.  Is there some 'dummy key' I hit by mistake?

In the upper left corner of the screen, click on the tool icon and choose Reset tool.

  • removal tool to the spot on the edge of the merged panorama

Using LR6 to create a merged file DNG several jpgs that were shot in my Pocket I took the resulting DNG cropped and enlarge the area to harvest a bit there are white areas at the top and bottom of the photo (exact original photos match, and I want to include all original parts). Trying to fill the empty spaces by using the Spot removal tool. It works as expected inside the photo, but if the target box contains one of the pristine area, do not 'copy' of the source pixels. It stops exactly at the edge of the original photos and refuses to pay in the empty area of the photo have merged. Workaround was to export/import a JPG file and edit this file. Anyone else see this behavior? Seems like a bug to me.

Without getting into the semantics of "bug", LR behaves as expected by its developers.  But a number of people have requested the opportunity to fill the edges with the tool clone, and Eric Chan (senior developer of Adobe) says:

We will investigate how to improve this in the future, but for now the best solution is to 'fill' the edges using Photoshop, or "round-trip" the image in Lightroom.

"Round trip", it means export TIFF or JPEG image and then re-import.

Please add your vote and opinion on this in the Adobe official feedback forum: Lightroom 6: Clone Brush ineffective on the white edges of the Panorama.

  • Freezing of Lightroom with tool Wacom and Spot change

    4.2 Lightroom

    Windows 7

    Wacom Intuos 5

When using the place change tool and my Wacom pen, it freezes for several seconds on some files lightroom. Same types of files and locations may not the problem, but some do. Happened on TIF, PSD and cR2s. The cursor disappears and not displayed when placed above the window of LR. I can access the other windows and the slider works very well. He didn't tell me the program is not responding, but I can't do anything with it. After 30 seconds or so the cursor appears and I can work. However, if I try to use the stylus and task editing tool once again on the same image, it causes the delay in cursor again. If I use my mouse, no delay. Sometimes, it happens not with Wacom pen. User perspective seems to be random what files it happens and that it is not.

    Hi Amanda

As I said I tried to soiolve it for weeks and then after you reply to your message, I found a solution in forums of wacom. Basically, you will need to disable penflics in windows and the ripple effect that occurs when you click with the pen. http://Forum.Wacom.EU/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=8036

I hope this helps, I've also upgraded to the new version of lightroom 4.3

Thanks in advance... made the change of tool bar? Nothing in the form of spot healing tool...

Maj J should go to tools under the Spot Healing Brush (J). Does it work?

If not, the Edit menu > toolbar and click the default button.

  • Spot healing & clone tool involved?

I am using PSE 11 & am having a very basic problem with the editor.  I open a picture and see a small article that I want to delete & I just wanted to use the spot Healing Brush tool.  When I clicked on the area in question it is said to use alt-click to define area.  This seems to be what I had to do when I wanted to use the Clone tool.

So I went to clone tool to see if I was right and it comes with brushes of different size.

Anyone know what is happening?  It enable or disable an option in the settings that I should not have?

For Spot Healing Brush Tool make sure you that your in Expert mode, click the icon in the Toolbox to the right of the red eye removal tool and by virtue improve.

(you can also use the hotkey J)

Then click on the tool Options and you can choose between the Spot Healing Brush Tool or Healing Brush tool.

  • LR4 removal/spot healing brush

I was hoping and waiting for better healing/spot removal brush in LR4... and now I'm disappointed

    should I wait for LR5?

I am completely with you.  I need to take almost every image in Photoshop to use the Healing Brush, and it's a giant pain in the a$ $.  It's really disturbing to workflow and I cannot that assume Adobe does not add this feature to LR because it would be cannibalizing PS too.  I talked to several photographers who feel the same way.  They use PS to all its layers and text tools etc etc - just very good healing tools.  LR is a very good organizer, the RAW image processor, the engine noise reduction, but it is not what I need to do for any editing when it comes to portraits.

  • Lightroom 5 Spot Removal Tool lag and is not usable (Temp workaround?)

Lightroom 5 Spot Removal Tool lag and is not usable.  The Spot removal tool is really quite critical to usability and workflow for Lightroom 5.  Check the other tools beside the Spot removal tool, it seems that the fix red eye tool is also affected.  It might have something to do with the Version of process?  I noticed when working with some old images (using the 2010 process Version) files, the Spot removal tool worked as previously experienced. Current images that have been "upgraded" in the new Version of process (2012) are now unable to use the place because of its response removal tool very laggy and sporadic.  I've never known a problem like this with Lightroom (LR since LR2 user).  Mac OSX 10.7.5, i7 to 3.4 GHz, 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

I also noticed this reprocessing that an image can return to the removal tool again 'useful' Spot (back from 2012 to 2010, then return in 2012).  Does not always work and isn't always 'stick', such as closing and reopenling LR reinitiates usually lag Spot Removal Tool.

I saw someone talking about the Version of process as a potential culprit, nor I have seen no reliable workaround solution.  An image (or a set of images) reprocessing at least works for me for a while, but it would be nice to not have continue reprocessing of images every time I open / use Lightroom 5.

LR5 is great and all I need for most of my images.  Unfortunately for me, however, this ease of use also requires features without hindrance of the Spot removal tool.

For some reason, it is clear that not everyone is experiencing such massive slow / bottleneck when it comes to the Spot removal tool.  If all users have experienced this problem at this level, they would have been calling for Adobe to address and remedy immediately.

Respectfully, Sean, make a suggestion like that proves that you do not know / have not experienced this problem / don't understand gravity on which this issue may affect workflows; simply "turn off lens correction and noise reduction" is certainly not a fix.  If the 16 GB of RAM does not resolve the problem, you really think simply turning off the noise reduction will be?  And as Bert Nase pointed out, to make that large volumes of images increases workflow in a program designed to streamline the workflow for large volumes of images.

1 - one solution is to change the version of process in your first picture (2003-2010), then copy - paste who develop the setting for the rest of your images.  This will get all your images at the point in your workflow where you can use the tool to delete Spot on each image.  After spotting, convert each image back to the current version of the process (2012) then re - perform tasks that conversion lost.

2 - The presets is a workaround of options, but you will need at least two of them adapted to your stream of work.

    3. change your import settings to an earlier Version of the process is an option, and then complete Spot Removal on each photo, then update the process Version on one and copy/paste for the rest, then re - perform for each picture lost during conversion tasks and continue your workflow from there.

Readers of this thread can use the link above, but it may present its own problems, too.  As mentioned, switching back-and-forth between Versions of process can remove some of your spots already corrected and you will need to re - correct.  Worse, a prompt window asking for the creation of a virtual copy or evidence will begin sometimes arise... closing the window, by clicking 'Cancel' or by choosing another option in the context menu didn't "remember" and the window opens upward with any other "click" on the image.  Lightroom should be stopped and the computer restarted before the question to reset.

Yes, it's very frustrating and time consuming to say the least.  So, unfortunately there no solution yet to workaround.  I hope that this issue will be addressed and corrected in the next release of 5.2 (doubtful) or the Cloud of Photoshop + Lightroom version.

  • Impossible to find in 2015 CC red-eye tool

Anyone else having this problem? Online, all said that the red eye tool must be nested in the spot Healing Brush tool. Instead, my tool task healing, healing tool brush and patch tool are all visible at the same time, and the red eye tool is absolutely nowhere to be found:

    photoshop1.PNG

Am I missing something incredibly simple?

This procedure will replace the red eye tool in the toolbar.

Open Photoshop; then change; Toolbar; Restore the default values.

  • Lack of icon Healing Brush

Hi, I'm new and ignorant so your patience is appreciated. I use version CS5 Extended track and earlier, I got the "content-aware" icon in the toolbar, now I don't have, and it appears grayed out in the Edit menu. I can't find a "corrector" of any kind. The icon is no longer available on the file that I used it on sooner.  Any suggestions would be much appreciated.  Thank you.   Ted

Some tools are interwoven with other tools. THA spot healing brush is in the slot located just below or next to the paint brush tool

Depending on how your Toolbox is configured. Just hold down on the various tools in the Toolbox to see the nested tools.

The small black triangle next to most of the tools indicates there are other tools that are nested in the same niche.

You should see the scale to the current content in the Edit menu, which is different from the aware content with the spot Healing Brush tool

or edit > fill > conscious content.

  • patch tool

I'm trying to get rid of a few here flyaway hair and when I try one of the tools of healing, I get a red glow instead of integrating well with the background.  How to do this job better?  Also, I have another similar photo without hair on his face, and I thought that in some way I could create a mask and a brush in the areas of the face that must be fixed.  Is this possible?  the image is closer to the top, is not an exact match.  I will add that here too.  (the first photo is for the face only, I'd tones etc match before performing any masking)  Thank you!

The red glow is a mystery. Your edits would be better served by using the clone tool, because others in the area of reference and can bring a hair color / instead of delete it.
