  I guess you do NOT mean that you have both printer and computer plugged into the same power strip and both are turn on when you turn on the power strip.

  As nearly as I can determine the rather thin material in the Guide for the Dell P713w user, probably have enabled "Eco-Mode" or the mode 'sleep '.  See page 19 of the User Guide (if you don't have it, download it here: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/PRN_P713w/en/index.htm).

  When this feature is enabled, the printer goes into mode low power when it has been idle for a while.  When the computer is off, the printer is by definition inactive and so will go to low power, shortly after that the computer is turned off.  When the computer is turned on, it detects the presence of the printer and connects to the printer.  Apparently, the printer interprets this string as the "no-idle" and out of his low-power mode, which appears as if it is "turn on."

  In addition, this printer performs an automatic maintenance cycle every week if it is plugged into a power outlet. It will briefly exit Power Saver mode or turn on temporarily if it is disabled.

  Hi Rachel,

  To do this, you'll want to schedule in your startup folder so that it works even when the computer starts.  Here's how.

  1. Press + R to view the race box.  Type : startup of the shell and click OK to open the startup folder.
  2. Open your menu start, find calendar and drag it into the startup folder.

  You are finished.  Now, it runs automatically when you connect.

• Printer does not print to restart the computer

  My LasterJet Pro 400 M401dn (new) print only when the computer is restarted. I changed the USB cables, USB ports, turn off sleep on my Toshiba laptop utility. I use Windows 7. Other previously directly attached printers worked fine.

  Within 4-5 minutes to restart, I am unable to print. When I restart the documents in the print queue to print very well.

  Any help would be appreciated!

  Which driver you use with the printer?  Have you installed the driver full features here?

  Or

  Have you installed the driver of the UPD on the same page?

  I would try this printer uninstallation and reinstallation.  Try the full functionality and UPD to see if it is a driver compatibility problem that leads to this problem.

• T500 does not power on when I hit the button.

  I'm tried to hard - to start the machine, but no dice.

  When I push the power button, I show activity in the status lights and can feel heat through the heat sink. I think I see the "ThinkPad" display screen very weakly at that time here, but it seems not to proceed in the ordinary boot process. I'm certainly not able to get to a post of the BIOS.

  Any ideas?

  Maybe the backlight is out; Take a flashlight and shine it on the screen as it starts.

  I have a notebook dv7-3060us running Windows 7, some mornings (every few days or weeks), I find, powered out and does not.  In press and hold the power button for 5-10 seconds has no effect.  I have to unplug and remove the battery to restart.  What happened several times.  I tried it with the battery removed, and it fails again, then.

  A software problem can cause this?  I thought that holding the power button causes a material interruption and the BIOS takes over.

  Is there a known hardware problem which can cause this?

  Hi Sean,.

  Thanks for the suggestion.  Unfortunately, the steps listed for a hard reset was precisely what was needed to market every day.  So, we did about 50 times.  The real issue was whether a software problem could cause the phone to require a hard reset every time.

  After not getting no response for a few weeks, I have restored your computer from a backup, I made after the update in the first place and then re-set everything.  So far, it has remained stable, which brings me to the conclusion that it is, in fact, a software issue.

  I am writing this message cause I was using my laptop and sudenlly it shuts. At first, I didn't know why, I tried to turn it on by pressing the botton, but I failed. Then, I thought I had the battery charger unplugged, but it wasn't. After a few minutes I took the battery and connect the charger, then my laptop run.

  I spend a few hours searching on the Web sites about problems with the battery charger o, and I find that my laptop doesn't recognize the battery cause of pilots o something like this, so I ASK FOR HELP!
  Now, I can only use my laptop if one take out the battery and plug the charger.

  If anyone knows what might happened to my laptop, Please HELP.

  In General, the laptop should work fine in connection with and without the battery.
  The unit should turn on if the battery is removed but connected to the power adapter.

  Also if the battery is connected and worn, the unit should operate without the power adapter connected.
  So what is wrong here? To be honest, I don't think there could be some sort of driver but first of all problems that you should try to recover the laptop to factory settings just to check if the device works by using the preinstalled Toshiba OS and settings.

  If the device does not work properly even after the recovery process, I recommend checking the functionality of the laptop as part of the NEW pile of good work.

  Your device is still covered by the warranty?
  If so, you should communicate with the Toshiba ASP because in case of hardware problems, ASP you should fix free device...

• G60: laptop does not power off with powered usb hub attached

  I have an external powered USB hub which I attach to my G60 running Windows 7 Edition Home Premium. When I try to stop the G60 with the attached hub and under tension, the shutdown sequence passes Logging Off to Shutting Down but never completely off. Power and lighting wireless turned on and the fan continues to run.

  Is there a way around it except turn off the USB hub before shutdown?

  I saw your post about the problems with your laptop not shutting not completely when the powered USB hub is connected. Sounds like your laptop goes into sleep or hibernation. I recommend you contact the manufacturers of USB powered to see if there is a way to stop it or just unplug the hub.

• 15 Pavilion: Pavilion laptop closed its doors but does not power off

  When I stopped my phone everthing seems to close except that the power is not cut.  This problem doesn't happen every time but appox 60%.  I can turn off using the power switch, but it is a pain.  Turns off the switch it starts normally afterwards.   Try disabling the startup of Windows 10 hybrid - you can do the following.

  Open settings and select System.  Select food and sleep, and then click additional power settings - in the next window, click on "Choose what the power button" in the left pane.

  In the next window, click on "Change settings that are currently unavailable" (close), then Remove the check mark from the box against 'Turn on a quick start (recommended) '.  Click on the button Save the settings, and then close all open windows and check if the laptop will now be shut down properly.

  Windows does not read the CD-Roma automatically if you only use the real-mode CD-ROM drivers. Protected mode drivers are called to play CD-ROMs automatically when you insert them into your CD-ROM drive.

  To manually change your auto CD play settings in Windows Vista

  1. open the control panel by going to the start menu.

  2. double-click on the default programs icon.

  Now choose the third setting down. Change AutoPlay settings.

  

  4. now you can choose which action to perform with which program.
  5. press on the drop-down menu to make your choice.

  Audio stops when video plays, to hear the sound on the video. Background sound does not restart automatically.

  Article 3 video and background to play during the entire folio has been placed in Article 1. Suggestions?

  It is the audio/video interaction in DPS. Once the video begins, we will stop the background sound, and we don't no auto restart it.
