Toshiba 50L4353D - dark on-screen strips

Hi guys this is my first post

I have a problem with a tv 50L4353D

I have bands darker on the top and the bottom of my screen aprox 4-5 "wide image still shows its just more brilliant in the central section, it seems to be deteriorating ideas?

We know what is Service of toshiba that I just brought this tv 02/01/14 is 3 months out of wty

Hmm... from your description, the problem looks like a problem with the display panel.
Maybe you could add some pictures to get the best overview of the failure...

I would recommend to reset the TV back to factory settings and check if the number of the photo seems using different signal sources.

  • Which computers laptop Toshiba support true Brite screen?

I'm looking for a Toshiba laptop with a screen of shiny, reflective type, rather than matte anti-glare. It is for home use, see photos. Is there an easy way to tell which models have a brilliant by model name/number display?

    Hello Phil

The list of Toshiba laptops with TruBrite screen is very long. First of all, you must know exactly what laptop series you like and it will be much easier to check that if this series is also delivered with TruBrite display.

If you prefer the satellite series as there are several models of laptops with screens TruBrite as r A100 P100 on new Qosmio laptops, has that almost all of them have TruBrite display. Tecra series is mainly delivered without TruBrite display.

As I said write us which laptop model you prefer and it will be much easier to give you recise response.

    Good bye

  • Toshiba 50L4353D and content delivery

Hello, I need a little bit of advice,
I'm on a Toshiba 50L4353D 50 inch smart tv connected to the internet via Ethernet cabling.
I also use a Windows Vista desktop computer connected via Ethernet, which is installed with Windows Media Player 11.0.6002.

I'm trying to get the content from the pc to stream to your TV with mixed success,
I am able to view my music library and oddly 2 videos from my PC, one being the example of the complete movie file.

I took the following measures, media stream are in the shared folders which I can access easily from any other pc at home, who has never been a problem.
In windows media player, all my movies folder content was added (note: previously, it was only the two files I post currently in my WMP Player library)

This has led me to think that it is a problem of refreshment with the TV, but as all my music is now added, I think that is refuted.
I also by "multimedia file sharing > Toshiba TV > clicked share.»

Notes on the random side... This isn't a problem for my PC on the TV, but it shows only two files from hundreds of movies. I checked codex on the files, the two in question is AVI with MP3 audio like many others if it is not that.

Hippolyte ahead and feel free to ask me if I was not clear which I guess is likely.

    > This isn't a problem for my PC on the TV, but it shows only two files from hundreds of movies.

I guess that its number of file format and codec.

In 50L4353D user manual page, 89-90 you can find info on all formats of media, file extensions and codecs of audio / video which are supported by media TV player.
    http://www.Toshiba-OM.NET/LCD/PDF/English/L4353-323950-English.PDF

_Note_: there is a difference between reading USB and network.
Thus, some files may be supported via USB but will not work if you want to use the network streaming.

    Hi ctgreen

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!

You can try the following and link methods under each method for more information on the same and see if one of them solve the problem.

Method 1: Start the computer in last good known Configuration

    1. Remove all floppy disks, CDs and DVDs from your computer and restart your computer.

Click the button start , click the arrow next to the button lock , then click on restart.

    1. Do one of the following:

    ·         If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you need to try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then stop and restart your computer.

    ·         If your computer has more than one operating system, use the arrow keys to select the operating system you want to start, and then press F8.

    1. In the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to select last good known Configuration and press ENTER.
    2. If your computer has multiple operating systems installed, use the arrow keys to select the operating system that you want to start using the last good known Configuration, and then press ENTER. Windows will then resume starting normally.

    Hi OfeliaJohnson

1 during how long have you had this problem?
    2. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    Method 1 :
You can check if you are able to start properly in safe mode. In safe mode; you have access to only the drivers and base files. Check out the link to start the computer in safe mode and then check-
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

    Method 2:

You can check if you can use the last known good configuration. It's a Windows startup option that uses the most recent system settings that worked correctly. Whenever you turn your computer off and Windows shuts properly, important system settings are saved in the registry. Then it starts Windows with the last configuration of registry and the pilot who has worked successfully.

Please refer to the below links to get help on the issue.
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/using-last-known-good-configuration

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

    Method 3:

If the problem persists you can perform a restore of the system to a previous point, when the issue was not present. The System Restore tool uses points of restore to return the system files and settings to an earlier point in time. You can use it to restore the operating system to a point in time where you have not experienced the problem.

Note: When you use System restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

To do this, there must be a restore point from the system in which the connection was successful.

Please refer to the below of the help links on performing a system restore.

    I hope this helps.

  • Alienware X 51 r2 starts with Windows RE or dark gray screen

My Alienware X 51 r2 will start is the Windows 10 login screen. Instead, it shows a dark grey screen (which probably should be black, but is not because of the brightness) or the recovery of Windows after the bios screen environment. I tried using alienrespawn to restore my computer and optionally to reset to factory settings, no attempts have worked. I am unable to use the system restore because it refuses to accept my password and I don't know that I entered correctly. At least for a week my computer stopped working. If anyone knows a solution for this or has any suggestions on how to fix this I would really appreciate it.

You have the recovery disk to reinstall Windows? Make an iso Windows USB installation and repair install. Windows Update could cause this problem

I would like to help to know what is this problem and how can I be able to solve it please. I have this shadow that goes from left to right in the middle. I watched the last Star Wars movie last night and did not see. Nobody knows what can be causing this please?

It is not a big problem but would like to know.

Thank you very much for the help.

You can start the machine in safe mode? Which operating system you are using? Are you using it for a while or is this first boot after installation.

Please write a little more. If you give more info and detailed description, it is easier to understand what may be the problem.

  • Toshiba LCD 37wl66zs white screen!

    Hello

I hope someone here will know all electronic and can help me solve this problem. Sometimes when I turn on my TV, I don't see is a white screen with sound. When I turn off the TV and turn it back on and then picture/video is back.

This problem frequently occurs for every 4 - 5 times I turn on the TV.

I have a Toshiba LCD 37wl66zs and had since 2007. The problem occurred in 2007. I bought the TV in Germany, but I live in the Denmark, this is why I have not used the guarantee because it would be costly for me to return the TV repair.

Anyone have a solution? or can help me?

I don t think that this problem could be solved easily.
Probably, there is a kind of motherboard problem and without running certain diagnostic tests (using special tools and software), no one would be able to provide you with all the details.

I guess that the warranty isn't valid more and so you will have to pay for this repair and in my opinion, this could be a costly affair
