Toshiba display driver vs other sources - Satellite P100

Hello

A few questions...

A couple of weeks ago, I bought a P100-188 (pspa3e) of PC World (don't hate me, they were cheaper than if she had in stock!), it came with the installed NVIDIA 6.14.10.8400 - presumably from the Forceware 84 of NVIDIA drivers.

Toshiba driver download page offered a version of the 8.3.2.0 driver, posted on 7/30. I got it, but when I tried to install it, he told me that he is older than my current version. I did not allow the installation to continue.

Can someone tell me:

1. What is the difference between tosh drivers and drivers nvidia reference? I know that nvidia drivers refrence support officially this laptop (and I have not tried to install). Are there features of pilots tosh useful to have those for?
2. what version of display driver other owners P100-188 are on their machines?
3. what tosh non riders tried of people?
4. don't Toshiba properly maintain their display on the site to download drivers? The pilot seems to rest on Forceware 83...

I hope you can help :)

Hello

As far as I know the original nVidia drivers is designed for desktop PC graphics cards and not for laptops. The gift of t mobile graphics cards are different. There is only a chip from nVidia. Because of the laptop miniaturize cards have no own strong cooling modules. Therefore, the graphics drivers from Toshiba are responsible for execution of the graphics card. If the graphics card temperature increases at the critical level driver degrades performance. Then, the temperature drops to the lower level.

Production graphics card drivers original don t support such function.
I read that some people have used an omega drivers. But be aware that the Toshiba doesn't recommend using different drivers. You must use own graphics driver from Toshiba. But if you want to use another driver, you do so at your own risk.

Greetings

  • Driver Conexant HD Audio - Satellite P100 PSPA3C Win XP problem

    I have a Satellite P100 PSPA3C MA202C.

I found on the Web from Toshiba site a new Conexant HD Audio 3.44.0.0 driver version for my laptop (Windows XP, 3 GB of RAM)
and had the bad idea to install it. After installation, the sound is terrible Crackle and interruptions.
including the sound of Windows boot at startup, when you first open during playback and audio files.
When a UC program gets started.
    It's never happened before.

I acknowledge that during installation, I received a message from the system
warning that this driver is not signed as having managed the "Windows logo test '.

However, the same situation stands for previous versions of site Web from Toshiba, like 3.21.0.52, who gave the same problems.
Then I wanted to let Windows choose the right driver, but it turns
"Microsoft function driver UAA for HD Audio Conexant Waikiki" which provides its own, but has no audio in (microphone).

So now I'm stuck with the crackling and interruptions of Conexant, or with Waikiki have no microphone.

It's strange, because the initial configuration worked well. Unfortunately, I do not know how to restore the original configuration,
It is not written anywhere, that the system cannot understand itself and of the restoration came with the computer dvd
only allow for a radical total restoration of the status of the day of sale, which is not acceptable.

    What a disappointing experience!

    Can someone help, please?

    Hello!

S DVD supplied with the computer are called recovery disks and it's the way to return to the factory settings.
The disc contains the Windows preinstalled with all the drivers and tools of Toshiba.

I know it's strange, but in my opinion, there is no other way to solve this problem. So back up your data first HARD drive will be completely formatted.

  • Display driver for W2k for Satellite L20-112

    Hello!

I am looking for a display driver for the Satellite L20 - 112 for Windows 2000.

Can someone help me please. I'm looking for the driver for a long time. I have the ATI Radeon Xpress 200 M.

I downloaded the Catalysp 5.13, but he insists that 'Not found Video Driver - error INF'.

    Thankx for help

    Good bye

    Hey Kevin,

AFAIK the L20 range was only provided with Windows XP, so it is unlikely that you will be able to get a suitable display driver Windows 2000 Toshiba.

You have already discovered it is generally not possible to use the drivers of graphics directly from the graphic card manufacturers is specially modified for use in a notebook.

You can try to use third-party drivers from sites such as http://www.omegadrivers.net/

    Good luck

  • Display and graphics with my Satellite P100-192 issues

    Hello

I have following problems with my almost 3 year old Toshiba Satellite P100-192:

In the last few weeks my latop ran very hot when I played games or used another difficult software.

Last week, the computer began to freeze the screen for a while and then the screen turned black and I had to reset. When I start now my laptop screen TOSHIBA and Windows startup screen has some vertical stripes in reds or roses. After starting the Windows retains the turnes black screen and I can't do anything.
When I start Windows mode safed scratches are still there but the system works well.
Now, I have thought that I have a software, the driver or the virus problem and formatted the HARD drive with the TOSHIBA recovery disks. After decomprimating I thought I can install Windows XP, but the black screen is back and it is so impossible to reinstall.

What should I do now? Is my graphics card fault? Why everything worked well in safed mode?

    Please help me!
    Thank you very much!
    David

    Hello!

It's strange, but I think it might be a graphics card problem.
In safe mode without driver will be loaded and this could be the reason why you have this problem only in normal mode.

Also, have you tried an external monitor? Maybe it's a question of s only a LCD internal.
    Check it!

I doubt that it of a virus or something else because you have used the recovery disk and it erases the entire HARD disk.

I'm trying the wrong driver? Is there a release for my laptop to 7? I don t understand very well, and any help would be appreciated

Please be so kind and post the exact model laptop (L300D-xxx).
I tried to find the country of purchase, but somehow, I can't find this model of PSLC8A.

What is the country of purchase? I just want to check the support page of Toshiba for this country to see what display driver is available.

  • Problems installing the driver for the ToolsCD - Satellite P100-277

For example, my audio driver, the 'Driver Sound' folder contains DLL, SYS, XML, CAT and INI files.
But I don't know how I can install the driver.

I hope you guys can help me out here, thx!

    > Now, I reinstalled all the drivers, but with some drivers, there is no setup.exe and I do not understand how I can install these drivers then.

Some drivers must be installed in the Device Manager.
Mark the device, push the button update driver and point to the files that are stored on your HARD drive

  • Need driver LAN for my Satellite P100-478

    Hello everyone.
I just bought this laptop. He does not here in Romania. I searched all the Web from Toshiba site and that you did not find this model.
My laptop comes with a Windows Vista Home Premium OEM which is in French. This recovery CD have all the drivers and it's work fine, but I want to install a Windows Vista Home Premium in English and try to use the same license. Hope it will work. All the drivers I found work OK only wired Lan card has no drivers. To be honest, I don't even know what model I should look for.
I also tried to put Windows XP but not found any driverss. If know where to look? Especially for the sound card. It's a card connexant.

    Please help me,
    Thank you
You all have a good day

Strange, I have checked the driver Toshiba page and chose the P100 PSPADE series but did not find any LAN drivers only WLan drivers.

Anyway, to my knowledge this device supports Intel LAN chip. Visit the Intel page and download the app or try to install the drivers from different series of P100.

  • Drive CD/DVD of Satellite P100 does not work correctly

Play dvds on windvd or CDs on Media Player results in his nasal and photos. Sometimes both play very well but then any attempt to enter a new menu or jump titles causes stuttering again. Tried a system restore that solved the problem initially but now it is picked up. Strangely, change the volume sometimes seems to invite the reader to work properly, almost as if he's slow and then use other controls somehow turns it.
Is it a hardware problem or software?
Not a computer expert so if you have a solution please explain as simply as possible.
    Thank you very much

You can see the graphics properties in Device Manager ;) dude :D
But it seems that the laptop came with the nVidia 128 MB graphics card.

Have you tried to update the graphics driver to the latest version available?

  • Toshiba Satellite Pro 2100 - display driver resolution - help!

My laptop screen is 15 inches and resolution 1024 x 768. He worked always good. Until I installed Windows XP SRV 2 once again. Now, the screen only works with 969 x 768 pixels. Without the ability to use the whole poster resolution. So I downloaded and installed the toshiba display driver. But still the same problem. (Black band on the right side) part of the display resolution remains unused and remains black.

I tried everything in the display settings of display resolution, but the law remains black strip unused

This unused black band is om the right side of the screen.
The rest of the computer laptop good workt without problem

A frend of mine has the same problem with a toshiba Satellite Pro 6100. After insalling Windows XP and the appropriate driver, the screen leaves a band black and unused.

    Can someone help me please?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

Can you please check under display properties > settings > advanced > monitor, is there possibility to activate the option Hide modes that this monitor cannot display.

If you want, save your data and reinstall OS with recovery CD. Check if your monitor is working properly and there is black band again.
I ve done the installation of SP2 several times without any problem. It is not a simple to determine what can be wrong with it.

If you reinstall the operating system and there is no black band again, please let me know. I am very interested about your problem.

  • Satellite A350 - display driver stopped responding and has recovered

    Hi guys

    I'm new to the forum

My Satellite A350 recovered above this message 3 times and every time I've seen the blue screen.

I checked my BIOS driver is updated by a check from Microsoft of the driver.

The thing I did differently is recently I joined a second monitor for the purposes of the study as a form of additional reading... and I wonder if this has caused the pilot to fail and that I shouldn't use it more (or for a short time only?)

    Thanks for the help :)

Use of the external monitor is not critical, and it is not the reason why this happens. In my opinion, there are some unwanted software.
Using certain applications requiring a real graphic performance?
Are you using the original recovery image Toshiba (supplied with the notebook OS)?
Toshiba display driver is pre-installed on this laptop?

In the forum, I have already found similar topics that you should check out too!

Another user might solve this problem by disabling the Windows Aero theme and you need to test the same.

In addition, you must install the last page of Toshiba display driver. They are pre-tested and protection against overheating.

I can't Flash the bios with BD1_BIOS (V4.80) _Update (is it possible to install the sound card?)

    Hi Salomon82,

I created a similar thread about audio drivers for Windows 7 on Satellite P100:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?MessageID=191495𮰇

It seems that the Vista driver works also on Windows 7! :)

In addition it s not necessary to update the BIOS for the installation of sound card drivers because first of all, you should try the correct driver.
