Toshiba ECO utility install problem on NB550D

Hello world

I bought a netbook NB550D and upgraded with a stick of 4 GB of RAM and Windows 7 Ultimate x 64. The computer now runs really faster than with the initial Setup, but I have some problems with some software from Toshiba. The ATI graphics driver is installed and the package of added value. But:

-I'm not able to install the Eco utility. I tried several versions (also dedicated to x 64 OS), but I have to every time the same question during the installation process: installation stops suddenly, and a warning message box appears, but does not have any text contain. After that, the alternation istall is cancelled. Does anyone experience the same problem?
-J' have also installed the utility Flash Cards, but the bar does not appear when you press the Fn key (shortcut keys work in all cases).

Would appreciate the help, or the delivery of the driver versions that are suitable for win 7 x 64.

Thanks in advance!

Why Toshiba release Eco Utility for NB100?

    Hi Lrrrr,

Just a simple question: what installation Eco Utility on your NB100?

But normally you don't need this utility of Eco. As much I know this tool only changes power settings Windows you can do it yourself too. It s a nice tool where you can reduce the energy consumption in a single click, but you can do it yourself if you create the own power profile or change.

    Hello

Please don't get me wrong, but until someone here write a long story about this tool I recommend to start and click the help button. After doing this, you can check this help document and read all about this little tool designed by Toshiba.
Is that this tool is designed to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions. With the help of this book performance will be reduced too, so you should use it when you need performance for some operations of some.

When you use the option settings check all the options it and disable the option you want to use.

In General, this tool is simply without a lot of options and it is designed for energy saving, especially if you use the battery power book.
    > if in ECO mode battery charge is completely ignored so it doesnot cycle charge-discharge cycles if the laptop is tuened over long periods.
Unfortunately I can't offer an exact answer to this question but I think only utilitarian eco doesn t have a any influence on these technical issues. The principle, how the machine works (ESF) is, in my opinion, not changed when you use the eco mode.

  • Satellite U500 - Eco utility and Windows activation problem

    Hello everyone

I'm having some trouble with my satellite U500. Recently, I had to reinstall windows on my laptop and the problem is it not activate because of my motherboard was replaced some time ago (I have no more a recovery partition). I want to know is if it is possible to make it work again with recovery Toshiba dvd or by any other means.

The other problem involves toshibas eco utility. Whenever I try to install it im getting an error message empty all I can do is click ok and then the installation is aborted. If someone had issues similar or is able to help me I would really appreciate it thx in advance. :)

If you have original Toshiba Recovery disk use for installing Windows. Recovery image is already enabled, so it shouldn't be a problem. If you use a clean version that is another story.

I hope that the Toshiba service provider has replaced the motherboard correctly and rewritten DMI information.

Use please recovery disk and recovery image. This recovery image contains all of the tools of Toshiba and utility and all must be installed correctly including eco utility.

  • Re: Satellite C870 - Questions about Toshiba software pre-installed

    Hello..

Instant Messaging user a new SATELLITE C870-1JV
Or seen a review on an American site saying that all software pre-installed Toshiba slowing down the operating system.
The site has recommended that a windows clean install to remove all...

Everyone does this, or would you recommend?

Anyone like the software installed and recommend keep it?

    Thank you!!

    > Someone has he done this, or would you recommend?
You always want to use the advanced features like function keys laptop?
If so, don t remove the feature key Toshiba software that controls the keys.

You always want to be informed of updates to the driver through Toshiba Tempro or Toshiba Service Station?
Then don t delete these software

But as far as I know there are also other additional software installed on the laptop.
For example: TOSHIBA, TOSHIBA Eco Utility, TOSHIBA PC Health Monitor, etc.
All of these tools provide additional functionality, it s your decision whether or not you want to use.

    Hello!

I didn't install Windows 7 on my Satellite A500 again but I've done a clean install of too. The only difference is that it is Vista not Windows 7.

I mean, it's the same as Akuma. You will find on the site of Toshiba Eco Utility. I even checked the Toshiba page we and I can't find the Eco utility. It s is only available for Vista at the moment but you should try it because most of the drivers are also works on Windows 7. It s worth a try!

For me after installation of the Eco utility button worked properly! :)

  • Satellite A500-1HK: some problems with ECO Utility, touchpad, GPU

    Hi all!

I am facing some problems with my laptop A500-1HK AND I would like to have your opinion!

last month, the eco Utility application cannot be activated from the special keyboard of the botton at the bottom of the keyboard, although Ihear special sound because its touch botton (so it works fine). I can activate only in the start menu and then the botton in the keyboard touch would become green.

At the top of the touchpad (mouse), there is a botton that enable / disable the touchpad. It works again.

A few times when I'm working, the screen turns black and then after 5-7 seconds, that it becomes normal with a message that nvidia GeForce GT 330Μ had stop working but now works well! (is it something serious?)

On the taskbar, there is an icon with a yellow exclamation point indicating the function that intel RST does not work. What is c?

Keep in mind I have install all the drivers to the latest version, but nothing has changed! I have windows 7 64 bit GR

    Thanks in advance!

Go to-> programs and features Control Panel
Here are looking for ECO Utility and uninstall this software and restart the laptop

Then visit the Toshiba UE driver page and look for the ECO utility.
Download the software and reinstall it.

The same as the ECO utility. Uninstall the screen / graphic card driver
Download the latest driver from the Toshiba page and install it

    > To the task bar, there is an icon with a yellow exclamation point indicating the function that intel RST does not work. What is c?

TSRI means Intel Rapid Storage Manager. It contains the SATA driver for SATA HDD controller.
In case this does not work, reinstall it again.

  • Satellite P750 PSAY3E: Win 8 Eco Utility will not install

    Hello

ICH just tried to install the eco from the following site utility

It's the right laptop and I installed Windows 8 Pro 64 Bit.
Whenever I try to install the eco utility, the installation process says that the operating system is not supported.

And another question: using WIndows 7, I had to install a driver in order to use the full cpu performance. Without the driver, the windows experience index has rated CPU with 6.9 Points system, with the pilot 7.4 points. As I installed most of the drivers available for WIndows 8 - including value added package - I think the eco utility must be the driver to ensure the performance gain.

Could someone tell me if I'm right with this quess?

    Thank you...

  • Satellite S50-B-12Z: battery life cycle Option does not appear in the eco utility

    Hello everyone.

I am facing a strange problem. The eco utility allows to work ok with win 10 on my S50-B-12Z satellite and I used the eco charging battery I've run mainly my laptop plugged in.

At some point, I need to do a system restore. I have re-installed the 10 victory and also the latest version of the eco utility downloaded from the Toshiba site. The problem is that when I open the utility eco, the choice of "battery life cycle", where you can select the eco reload or not, seems no more! So I find myself with the battery to 80% connected but does not support.

I already tried to uninstall and reinstall the utility or install an earlier version of it.

Is there something I could do in order the choice of "battery life cycle" to reappear or to cancel the State of charge of eco and leave my battery to charge again 100%?

    Thank you

I have the same problem with my P50 - A satellite. Battery-life cycle does not appear in the new eco Win 10 utility installed. Version is: 3.0.0.0006. Older versions do not work, I tried also.

More than 80% of maximum load, not 100% .

I hope someone has a suggestion. To 80% battery life is too short
