'Toshiba power saver' need for my Portege 7020 (WXP)

I have a Portege 7020ct that I updated to XP to 98. Everything seems to be fine, even if I lost the management of Toshiba power save options. I'm looking for the correct software control the brightness of the display, options, cooling etc.

Hi Vandervell

Sorry, but you won't be able to find this utility is not created for Windows XP Home edition. In my opinion, you can use the device without using the Microsoft just food options.

    Hello

You're right about the support of Vista. AFAIK there is no version of universal power saver, but in my opinion you don't need it at all. Tool for Vista does not seem like the old version and Vista many parameters were taken over from Vista itself.

Because of that I'm sure you didn't need at all. Be happy that Vista works well on your laptop satellite. Optimize the operating system and enjoy.

    Hi all...

  • TOSHIBA Power Saver for Qosmio F50?

I am owner of a Qosmio F50-108 and I can't seem to find Power Saver utility from TOSHIBA.

What is the same thing that the utility options of power on the control panel? I've seen screenshots of power saver utility from Toshiba which is supposed to be delivered pre-installed on their laptops, but the one I saw was on a Qosmio G10.

The series F50 there as well? If Yes, where can I find it?

    Hello!

As far as I know that the Qosmio F50 comes with Windows Vista and not XP.

TOSHIBA Power Saver is only available for Windows XP because Vista has the same functions as energy savings. The energy saving features are now an integral part of Vista.

I've created an interesting article here in the forum for you:

    Hello

Toshiba has also developed and Power Saver for Vista and will be installed with added Vista package.
But the energy saving of Toshiba for look of Vista doesn t as the saver of energy for Win XP.

TOSHIBA Power Saver for Vista belongs to Vista power options, and you can find some additional entries in Vista Power Options.

But you won't find a stand as only Toshiba Power Saver for Win XP.

  • Portege R500: Impossible to install XP in Toshiba Power saver

    Hello

I have a protégé R500 PPR50E which had Vista on it, but now has XP on it.

I installed all drivers etc for the laptop and everything works fine except that I can't get the toshiba power manager to install.
Whenever it installs programs it shows as 0.00 mb and installation when you click to open the control panel in the Add box, or move the section it says "a fatal error has occurred. This program will be terminated - code 0 x 0 - and then if I try to uninstall it to try a reinstall it says: "1628 - could not complete the installation.

    Any ideas anyone?
I downloaded the correct driver of course - I tried a redownload and it made no difference.

Also - I may pluching at straws but in the Bios before I made the construction - I turn the controller as opposed to ACHI ACHI compability mode - don't know if it could have an impact on it? -If I turn that on XP blue screens because I never installed the driver in the windows install (f6 prompt)

    Hello

I believe that you are unable to install the Toshiba power saver.

We should focus on this error message:
    * 1628 - cannot complete installation *.

Usually, this message may appear when installing any software that uses the InstallShield Setup program. According to InstallShield, this is a general error message indicating that the application has not been installed successfully.

  • Is there a Toshiba Power Saver for Vista?

I can't find a version of POWER SAVER for vista. This is only for XP?

    You are right.
As far as I know Toshiba Power saver for Vista doesn t exists and it is not released.

You probably noticed that own power options of Vista are very similar to the Toshiba power saver. You can control several power settings and create profiles of different powers. An additional tool such as energy-saving is unnecessary.

  • Portege S100: How to restore the system TOSHIBA Power Saver setting

When I had to test my battery and created a new setting of power on my laptop, I accidentally deleted the default schema TOSHIBA Power Saver of my those listed on my utility on Control Panel Power Options.

I tried to restore the Toshiba utility, by recreating a power scheme called "TOSHIBA Power Saver" - but Power Options says that there is already a framework plan of the same name.

When I start the laptop, I get an error message saying that the TOSHIBA Power Saver utility has experienced a fatal problem and he has completed the program.

Can anyone advise me on what I do:

-restore default TOSHIBA Power Saver setting.
    -stop the runtime error occur
-put things the way they were back.

    Thank you very much

    Seems so ;(
I would recommend the recovery CD because the whole procedure takes about 10 minutes only.

But don't forget to save your data if it's important.

  • Tecra M5 - Toshiba Power Saver did not do his job properly

    Hello

After looking for a tool to silence my Tecra M5 awhile, I found an apparently nice application called Toshiba Power Saver. Unfortunately this tool doesn't seem to work properly. I played with the [slider cooling method | http://img200.imageshack.us/img200/8008/powersaver.jpg] (click to see a picture) and here's how it works.

The cooling method can be set to one of four options: battery optimized Performance, maximum Performance and cooling optimized, where one is supposed to be the quietest, and those of other more noisy.

Assume that the cpu fan spins at high speed at the start and I do not have anything on my laptop. I move the cursor to the battery optimized setting, click on apply and the fan (instantly) slows down (yay!). Then I need to do something about hunger for a while and finally the fan turns up the noisy power level. I then doing nothing of the brand-new, but the fan is like that * ever *. The processor is as cold as ice, the air is blown could freeze the fingers, but the fan spins like crazy to wake up my neighbours on the road.

I'm really sure that the cpu is cool? Yes. Why?
Because when I move the slider for Performance affecting now and click on apply the fan slows down (right) and remains like that until I start working on something new. Then I stop doing what I was doing and the continuous spinning fan * ever * once again.

So I change the method of cooling for battery optimized setting back again once, click on apply and the fan slows down... and so on and so forth, stuck in a vicious circle.

The key to success here is keep pressing the button apply, which the Power Saver application should do from time to time and not me and not forgetting what it is here for.

What is the problem with this app? Is there a fix available (or alternative)?
The version I have is 7.11 and runs on XP Pro SP3.

    Hello

    What about your ad here?

TOSHIBA Power saver is tool Toshiba use for years and it is preinstalled on 98% of all models of Toshiba laptops. So, in my opinion, this tool is certainly one of the best and most effective tool designed by Toshiba.

Over the last 10 years, I have worked with many Toshiba laptops and I used this tool on each laptop to optimize my work. Mix between the good performance of the processor and method of cooling level offers enough power for each working day and with a low level in the method of cooling laptop runs pretty quiet.

Maybe stupid sounds now, but I have noticed that the Portege notebooks are, perhaps, more sensitive and using tool electric saver you cannot have the same effect as on certain portable Satellite and Tecra.

I do not think that this tool doesn't work properly on your Portege but Portege laptops have a specific design and material may reach a higher temperature faster than on the other laptop models.
Portege laptops have excellent and powerful material packed in a box of small notebook.
Sometimes laptop runs quiet and if you just connect the USB mouse the cooling fan starts to run strong enough. A small business can speed up physical activity and if temperature sensors have noticed a higher temperature for a degree C only, the fan control mechanism get information starts to cool the fan turns.

It is really not easy to tell if there is something wrong or right. My personal opinion is that everything is OK. You can try to talk with the service of Toshiba. Call them and ask for explanations. They should have enough experience with this stuff.

    In any case, good luck!

  • Receive the error message when you try to install Toshiba Power Saver

Toshiba power saver recently stopped working - I deleted and it redownloaded this site, now whenever I try to start the installation, I get a message "Cannot be the computer id" and stops the installation.

For the first time post here so if I'm on the wrong forum or you need nothing else apologies in advance.

    Hello

where you´ve have downloaded the powersaver? Maybe you downloaded a bad for your machine. It s absolutely important to download EXACTLY this software that fits your type of machine.
When you download stuff on toshiba Web sites you will have to keep an eye on the version on your machine (for example the Satellite A100 - 552-> download software of type '552' of the Satellite A100 series).

Sometimes, this solves a lot of mistakes and clarify some not very nice situations.
Please, more details on your problem. :)

Then I tried to uninstall and then reinstall the program, and he always gave me the same problem with the error: the program ends. Error fatal 0x51A. Right now, my laptop does not on the mode of power supply Toshiba but on common Windows system, such as the presentation or the laptop.

So I need help to restore the Toshiba Power Saver. I run Toshiba M115-S3094 with Windows Media Center Edition.

    Hello

Satellite M115 seems to be a Toshiba laptop because of the 5 at the end of the number.
In this case, you must use the Toshiba on the Toshiba site energy saving us. Did you?

Maybe you used the right utility electricity saver, so possibly that some registry or system files keys are damage in this case install the new OS for the Toshiba Recovery CD would be desirable.
