  I have a Toshiba Satellite C55. I've seen other forums posted on this topic, but none of the solutions seem to work for me. I tried to uninstall the drivers and restart the computer, and configure the microphone when the headphones are connected.

  My microphone (installed on the laptop) works completely fine... until I have plug in my headphones. He stops working, but I can still hear the music or friends through my headphones.   Have you tried to contact support for laptop and ask whether something should be activated or changed for this port USB3.0? Maybe some BIOS settings.

  If possible, try to check the functionality of some other USB3.0 available PC/laptop.

  As much as I know there not something special that will help you. It is Plug & Play device.

  Looks like you have formatted the NTFS drive that is read-only for OS X. Copy data to another drive, then partition and format the drive correctly for use on a Mac.
