Tot on HP Pavilion dv7-1090ed TV tuner does not work after the upgrade to Vista 64 bit Windows 7

After having upgraded my HP Pavilion dv7-1090ed Vista 32 bit to 64 bit Windows 7 Ultimate, my TV Tuner no longer works. Windows Media Center does not recognize there is that a HP en DVB - T TV tuner is not able to find the digital terrestrial channels-tv, I could look under Vista.

I searched several for one for the advice and tried to install several recommended drivers but so far without success. Can someone help me with this?

Hi Charlie54,

You can try using Recovery Manager to restore the software and drivers (Windows 7) to restore the original drivers, or you can try to install the Windows 7 drivers.

Here is the Windows 7 drivers for the Software HP MediaSmart Live TV and the TV Tuner driver, they should both be installed.

I hope this helps, please let me know.

Thanks and good luck!

  • DV7-4073nr - fingerprint reader does not work after the upgrade to HP Support Assistant

    Hello

I have a problem right now. The HP support assistant suggested that I had to upgrade the software of fingerprints to be upgraded and I did it without delay. Restart, the drive does not work. Windows 7 says it's a bad data. no password HP does. What should I do?

Turn the computer off, and then once you turn on, keep the F8 key several times to load the "Windows Advanced startup options" screen. In this screen either select mode safety/Safe mode with networking and log in to your user account by entering the password manually.

Once that is done, do a restore of the system through the control panel and restore your computer to an earlier date, whenever it was working fine. Once the restore process is done, change the settings for HP Support Assistant auto do not install updates

  • Fingerprinting and display does not work after the recovery of the system (Pavilion dv7 4080us)

    Hello.

This weekend I decided to do a restore of the system on my Pavilion dv7 4080us (LW170UAR), as I have done several times previously, using the built-in HP and the recovery etc. partition manager.

Operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, and everything worked OK with the new facility, with the exception of two things:

    • I don't see my AMD display driver listed on device listing Manager. Only 'Intel HD Graphics Family' is listed under graphics cards. I tried to download the drivers from the support page, but it doesn't help.
    • The fingerprint reader does not work. I tried to uninstall the drivers and software several times, rebooting and everything else I've seen that suggestions on these forums, with the files found on the support page of my laptop. No luck yet.

I would appreciate any kind of help. Thank you!

Excellent!  I am happy that you now have the correct drivers installed.

How repairing when HP Pavilion dv7-4065dx will not run the operating system, disk hard main self-test result 303.

    Hello

303 error seems to indicate that the drive is defective and must be replaced - it is also compatible with the problem you describe.

If your laptop is still under warranty, contact HP and arrange for the disc replaced.

If you live in the United States, contact HP here.

If you are in another part of the world, begin here.

If you are out of warranty and would like a guide to replacing the hard drive yourself, let me know.

I have the HP Pavilion 15-e017tx for the past 8 months.

Now I try to turn off the wireless using this button it will not respond (light orange).

I checked the Device Manager, there seems to be a problem with the driver.

IF you have knowledge of this problem please let me know.

    Thank you

    Hello:

The update of the BIOS should affect the driver wireless button.

I would recommend that you reinstall as the unknown device is probably the one.

  • Pavilion 500-449: monitor screen does not work with the new HP Pavilion 500-449

Not sure if 64-bit or 32-bit.  More HP vs 19 flat screen LCD monitor or new monitor LG Flatron E2242 will appear with new HP Paviion 500-449.  Both will be lit.  Monitor says HP VGA No. imput and goes to sleep.  LG monitor says it's to enter the mode, same thing, I guess that energy saving.  The two appear on older HP Pavilion a1430n.  Store support suggests the problem lies in the monitor menu options but they do not display with a try monitor.

Abandoned and reduced to store.  When they were scuffered too until they tried a second monitor in the back and noticed that it connected to a different place in the back!  Seems a converter is needed for old VGA monitors and then he plugs into a completely different place.  Originally, the husband plugged the power cord VGA of my screen instead of ONLY on the back, he could go, the marked spot VGA.  No, the converter is a big plug and can only fit above in a place with NO Label at all.  On top of that, everything IS there a converter plug supplied in the box with the computer, but there is absolutely NO mention of what to do with it, or where it goes.    I feel better that the store did not know that either; Clips by the way, where the young man was very nice.    He only discovered by accident because the store had two monitors with different plugs on the end.

Short Stort of long, if yours doesn't receive will check that plug that goes to the tower.  You may need a converter and it can even be provided.

  • Pavilion g6: SD card reader does not work after upgrade to Windows 10

I recently updated my laptop to Windows 10 and since then I am unable to download photos to my computer laptop (something I need and do all the time).  My computer doesn't even recognize that I put an SD in there - no noise, no popups, nothing.  I also tried to plug my camera directly into the computer and go that route, but it won't work that way either.  The SD card in the camera certainly has pictures on this topic, but it says "file is empty".  This is a feature that I love, need, and lack a lot.  I checked to see if there's a software or a driver updates available for my laptop on your support site, but Windows 10 isn't even an option in the operating system version down...  Help, please!

  • Pavilion DV6-2140ED: Pavilion DV6: 10 Windows does not start after the upgrade memory (4 GB-> 8 GB)

After I upgraded the RAM in my HP DV6 from 4 GB to 8 GB (2 x 4 GB Kingston KTA-MB1333 / 4G), Windows no longer starts. I get a blue screen and it keeps restarting.

I think that the memory specifications are similar to the Samsung M471B5673EH1-CH9 original memory: Ghz 1333, non - ecc, 1.5 volts, case latency 9 etc.etc.

    It's a laptop DV6-2140ED HP with a processor Intel i5 - 430 m and Intel mobile chipset HM55.

The bios detects 8 GB and it also passes the check/test of memory. As far as I know that I have also installed the latest bios firmware: F.1D. Reinstall my Windows 10 64 bit does not work either: with 8 GB I also get blue screens, after I try to boot my Windows 10 bootable USB drive.

I read other people having the same problem, but I have not read a solution yet. What can we do about it?

    Hello:

Please see this discussion.  You buy a very specific memory for any HP laptop with Mobile Intel 5 series chipset.

    Nitzan

Good so that's what I learned:

The problem with the unknown device is needed me a driver that is not in the list of drivers for my computer. I found the one missing looking into details of the driver properties in Device Manager and search on google, I came with ACPI\HPQ0004\2 & DABA3FF & 2 and found the solution here: download of HP 3D drive guard solution , sp61037.exe.

About the camera and the large sum of money. There is a common problem with this model of HP as the connector of the camera and the microphone is looking down and with behind the scenes just gravity and overtime. The solution that I found here: solution . Thanks to Surgeons of the screen and the video I put in place the connector and now, without any installation, the camera works perfectly. In the video, it shows how to take the whole screen, but you don't need all this, in fact everything you need is open the top without the need of screws from the bottom.

I hope that this other post will help get their computer and fixed camera in less time that it took me

That's how I found the connector:

And that's how it should be (the difference is very small):

  • Pavilion HDX 16: Windows 7 does not start after the upgrade to Windows 10

    Hello

I have a system to dual-boot with windows 7 and ubuntu (with Windows 7 and NeoGrub Bootloader Windows Boot Manager).

Recently, I upgraded from windows 7 to windows 10 via free upgrade offered by SM. However, I didn't like windows 10 and tried to upgrade to windows 7 by the following settings-> update of the security & -> Recovery-> Go Back to Windows 7.

After the long process of decommissioning, cannot start windows 7 and the "Startup Repair" tool began to run. However, he could not solve the problem. Other recovery options 'system restore' and 'image system recovery' is not such that it could not find any restore point or the image created previously (I'm sure it were created before upgrade restore points).

So, although I can boot ubuntu without any problem, I can't start windows 7. After the "starting windows" screen, I get the blue screen (a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down...).

I intend to use the DVD to install windows 7 for repair, but

    (1) I don't know if I can boot from the CD because it is a dual-boot configuration

    (2) I'm afraid of losing work ubuntu OS.

I appreciate if someone can help me find my Windows 7. I thank very you much for your time.

Sorry, but there are a lot of reports on forums of Win10 the option of GoBack does not always work correctly.

You should be able to boot properly from the same DVD of Win7 if you dual-boot with Ubuntu, but be aware, if the startup repair works (you may need to run three times), it will replace the link to start Linux in the MBR and after that, the machine starts immediately to Win7.  You will need to reinstall GRUB to get Ubuntu boot back.  You may be able to fix the boot of Ubuntu using repair boot: Boot-Repair - Community Ubuntu Documentation
