  I did now 2 installs fresh with the HP recovery discs and both windows update does not work. I tried different patches from microsoft that I found online in this regard and nothing works.

  I don't know if it's related, but said SP1 is installed, but when I look in the installed updates it isn't here. If I try to uninstall from a command promt it says is not installed and if I try to install it from the microsoft download it says it is installed.

  It makes me crazy. I was expecting it to work from a clean install, but it doesn't.

  Any help would be great.

  If it says SP1 is included, it means it is included and comes with the system, so you can not unintall it - it is part of the system - built in. You will not see the updates installed because it's built, do not subsequently installed.

  It is a known problem that now when you perform a clean installation of Windows 7, the installation updates will be delayed. This is due because of many things including the fact that W7 is more priority Microsoft because of new OS on the juice of the horizon: like Windows 10. Some users have reported that after the new facility it may take hours of waiting until Windows 7 poster updates are available. But don't worry - they are not that critics and you shouldn't worry so much for them.

  I can offer a workaround is to:

  This update package, which combines updates dating all the way back to February 2011, is not be made available in Windows Update.   Currently, I am trying to fix a problem of high performance mouse. During the game, the mouse staggers moving (or 'looking', through the mouse) left or right . I tried two different mouse and the problem persists. The mice and their software, both work fine when connected to an XP system.

  The page suggests that a service pack must be installed (already done) and otherwise, to try a fix .

  I got the patch in question, but when trying to apply the patch I am presented with an error message:

  "The update does not apply to your system."

  I understand that this question would happen if I had chosen the bits bad operating system (I chose x 86 for my 32-bit system, rather than the x 64 bit), but I chose the right bit system.

  I wonder how do I overcome this problem during the installation of the hotfix.

  I want to emphasize: I updated all drivers for the system (I had to shell out money for a driver update program because you are looking for that many drivers manually is virtually impossible), including the specific software for the mouse, the firmware of the mouse... None of them solved the problem. This fix may be my only remaining option to fix this mouse and I am unable to continue without help.

  Explain when you experience the problem.  It is only in the games?  If so, is it all games or only some of them?

  Clean boot your PC then test the mouse and see if the problem persists.

  o here are the steps I took... which I think should work:

  (1) go to the Microsoft Download Center:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx
  (2) look for each update code that begins with the letters "KB" and followed by a set of numbers (i.e. KB974234)
  3) click on the link for the download and then click on download and run. I think you have to accept an agreement, then click on continue or OK
  4) repeat for all downloads that you can not install
  (5) run Microsoft Update new and click search the updates and if updates have been installed successfully, they should no longer appear in the updates that must be installed.

  I don't know if it is not relevant or if it helped me succeed to install updates manually, but before I manually installed my updates I followed the instructions David_O posted under this threadhttp://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistawu/thread/f3390e74-9961-4aae-8a05-554c1a9cf1a2?prof=required&lc=1033 . I suggest that first of all try to download manually by following my directions.   The same problem. Cloned old HD on a larger hard drive. Everything worked perfectly except NO indexing and update WITHOUT windows - the two recurring problems that seem to appear on the forums after a change of hard disk.

  INDEXING resolved with change to "Intel rapid storage technology." Google what I put in quotes, choose the Download Center and get the specific to your OP and the controller software.

  UPDATES have been a little more frustrating. The microsoft .fixes and convenience stores were without help.

  Go to control panel / system and Maintenance / administration tools

  Select Services

  Stop the Background Intelligent Transfer Service

  Stop Windows Update

  In 'My Computer' go to Windows / Software Distribution

  Right-click "DataStore" folder. Rename it to Datastore.old

  Rename the folder 'Download' Download.old

  Return to Services and restart the Background Intelligent Transfer Service and Windows Update.

  Look for the updates. It will take some time because you deleted the database.
