Hi, I have a hp envy sleekbook m6 model. in any case since I installed windows 8.1 cool my touchpad works until a point. Ill install the driver and it works fine until I have shut down the laptop computer, then restart. IM pretty sure that the driver is updated automatically and does not properly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My model: HP ENVY m6-k010dx

Hello again loplop8989l,

Thanks for the quick response!

Since you are able to use your TouchPad before restarting your computer, I recommend that you follow this document on How to perform a boot in Windows. This should help

If the problem persists, I suggest to restore your system to a restore point when you first install the drivers for your TouchPad. To do this, please follow this document on using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8).

Once you have restored your system to when the pilots first TouchPad installation, please follow this resource on how to activate the update or disable automatic so only with the help of HP Support Assistant (Windows 8). This should help to disable automatic updates and check to see what firmware to download individually. Please install each update individually, taking note of update causes incompatibility of software with your TouchPad.

Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, and I look forward to your response!

    Hello

    -Is a 64-bit or 32-bit computer?
-What service pack have installed you on the computer?

Is there an error with the error code.

This issue is due to not having the latest version of windows update agent on your computer. So I would say you please install the latest version of windows update agent on your computer, and I am sure that this problem will be solved. Here is the link to download.

Run the fix which will be offered to you when you open the page above.

Once this is done, better also install you the latest windows installer to ensure that the windows service install is running.

Install install 4.5, if you have XP SP2 or higher and install install 3.1 if you do not have a service pack or even if you have Service pack 1.

There must be some problem with contact. I recommend to unlock touchpad wire, put it back in place and simply lock again.

  • Satellite L655 - sound does not work on the new install of Windows 7 Pro x 64

    Howdy all,

I bought a Newegg L655-S5111, which was on sale, put an SSD, and then installed a legitimate copy of Windows 7 Professional 64 - bit, I got from my current employer (I'm a computer scientist). I've updated to the latest revision of the BIOS (1.70), and I have all the updates installed Windows, all drivers installed, including the correct drivers Conexant HD Audio and ATI HDMI Audio. Unfortunately, the sound does not work. Sound works briefly during my first install of Windows 7, then I cut it up until I could get it set up with a helmet. When I disabled it, she had stopped working.

This laptop is less than 3 weeks at this point, old and I get no audio on headphones or speakers, even if Windows displays clearly no problems with the drivers, they have the latest version on a new installation, and I can see the audio mixer game. The laptop built-in microphone captures sound as well. I think that's probably not a matter of the physical interconnection, but more likely a software problem, I just have trouble identifying where it is.

I have also no related error message than any where in the case of newspapers.

Can you please do a test and install original recovery image Toshiba, that you got with your laptop on this new SSD, just to see if it will work with the original image.

Recovery image contains all the necessary drivers and OS is perfectly configured so each piece of hardware in your laptop should work correctly.

  • Satellite P205: Touchpad does not work when the new adapter is connected

I got a replacement charger for my Satellite P205 but put it has A 4.19 instead of 3. 95 has, they said that it didn't matter, but since I use the charger, I have the following problems:

-Does not load properly and turns off after an hour.
-The touchpad has a mind of its own when the charger is connected (windows opens if hovering over button, through the screan jumps when I try to move it, freezes and disappears)
-Charger Word to say the laptop plugged in but not charging

What can I do to remedy these problems, the laptop works perfectly when the charger is not plugged in?

    See you soon!

    Hello

I guess that the touchpad worked correctly in the past with the former sector adapter.
    Is this good?

Well, it seems that these questions are related to the new power adapter and I would recommend using a 100% compatible adapter.

Check the AC adapter s old part number and if the issues could be resolved using this adapter.

  • Duo 13 Touchpad does not work after the reactivation of hibernation

In my 13 Duo running Windows 8.1, when I put on after his hibernation because of the battery, the Synaptics driver stops working and pilot generic Microsoft hid resumes (erratic behavior). I have to reboot to get it working again. I use the Synaptics 17.0.8.5 driver. The VT is enabled in the BIOS because I use VirtualBox extensively. Also, when I do ' shutdown/h' cmd and Hibernate manually, the touchpad works after I turn it on. This problem arises when it is low on battery power. Does anyone also have this symptom? I noticed Synaptics has released the most recent drivers, but Sony is not keep in touch with updates.

I recently updraded my Sony Vaio VPCEH35EN to windows 8.1 Pro. Everything works fine and smooth, but is a question annoys me a lot. My touchpad scroll doesn't work at all. I have Alps pointing driver installed on my laptop, but it seems that this driver is not yet support windows 8.1. I also tried synaptics driver but still does not have in-depth touchpad scrolling.

    Can someone please suggest something?

    Hi kuberchib!

After checking, it seems that there are still no drivers for the touchpad for Windows 8.1. Please check this page for updates about the drivers for the touchpad.

I think you could find it on the page of the European driver Toshiba

  • Control buttons do not work after the new installation OS on Equium A100-147

After Installing Win XP manually, I am facing problem for the multimedia keys on the left side of the laptop work.

I am able to access the first button to launch Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player but still keys Play/Stop / > /.< not="" working="" with="" windows="" media="">

I read in these forums that these keys work only with WinDVD or Windows Media Player with CD/DVD in. But I was able to use these keys with MP3 files in Windows Media Player.

I don't want to use the restore CD.

    Thanks for your reply.

    Hello

Of course you can use it with mp3 files. The files are probably listed in the WMP library, and you can use all of the buttons. There is nothing unusual.

If you cannot use all those buttons in WMP when music CD is in the drive or you if the WMP library is open I recommend you remove TOSHIBA controls reboot the device and install again. Maybe it will work again.

  • Audio Acer 5520g does not work after the new service pack

I installed XP and is up-to-date. However, when a new service pack arrives, it destroyed the Realtech driver that I downloaded from the Acer support site.

One way to recover is to do a scan complete antivirus C drive.

Second method is to remove the speakers from the Device Manager, install the Realtech driver after the service pack update.

The question I have now is that the latest SP crushed the audio driver again.

Restore restore previous point never works on this or any other question, I've had with windows no matter what...

All previous options have failed now.

    Any help appricated.

Download the "RealTek" directly from RealTek driver. ;-)

retruned to Windows Professional 7 of 10.  everything seems to be OK except my connection Ethernet does not connect.  I can connect wirelessly.  Windows troubleshooting tool does not resolve the problem.

How can I get the adapter to work?

Go into Device Manager and uninstall your wired NIC.  do not remove the drivers.  Right-click on the name of your computer (above) and select "Search for hardware changes."  This should re-install the drivers for the network card.
