• A toolbar to work is now not checked in Firefox and I can't use it. Can you help me please?

  I used Nectar as my homepage and a toolbar added for many years. I always that it is simple and easy to use (a big plus for aging technophone!) and it is especially useful for letting me know what stores I could shop with through Nectar to increase my Nectar points. Points were also earned to complete the 'research', another useful feature.

  In the past months, I have struggled with this up to the point where I contacted the persistent Nectar. They have kindly added 'free' points to my account to compensate for the fact that I had been unable to use the toolbar or to the shop via the Nectar. They suggested uninstalling and reinstalling the improved version of their toolbar. I tried to do several times, but have failed to be able to access online stores through Nectar and also to add to my total points using the Nectar search tool.

  After trying again, in vain, to reload the toolbar, I now have to find a message from Firefox saying "Nectar Toolbar could not be verified for use in Firefox. Proceed with caution.

  Can you please check this product so that I can continue its use? I don't know how else more to come this problem and would like to make things as simple as they were until this issue has been raised.

  I hope someone can help - but please keep in mind of my state of technophobia and explain things in a way very simple for me (IE without using jargon 'computer' and technical writing!).

  Firefox 40 verification is only a warning message, the new 'signature' feature add-on will keep an extension to work in Firefox 40.

  If this Nectar toolbar simply stop working in Firefox 40, I can only imagine that this is due to a deprecated API that uses the extension or another issued compatibility. Add-on developers who are registered with the official website of modules was warned about this, API removed from Firefox 9 to 12 months to give developers time to fix their add-on before Mozilla removed the corresponding code for this API.

  Bottom line is the Nectar needs to fix their extension to get it working again, AND they need to submit it to Mozilla Add - ons for the signature.

  In 41 Firefox Add - ons that are not "signed" will be disabled, but the user can substitute for it. In Firefox 42 that replace the missing aura of the Beta and Release versions - signature is required for Firefox 42 and subsequently.

  Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
  ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and

  If the laptop is still under warranty, call HP technical support and see if the battery is covered. If not, buy a new battery. If you are very lucky to have a friend with the same model laptop - and it must be the same - you can troubleshoot using its known working battery put in your laptop. If your laptop works with the borrowed battery, then just buy a new one for you. I found AtBatt.com to be an excellent source for laptop batteries, adapters, etc.

  You can call the HP technical support in any case where they have a diagnostic routine they do to determine if the problem is with the battery or the charger on the motherboard component.

  BTW, it does not matter that the computer is only two years. Yes, batteries usually last a little longer than that, but things are what they are. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  I have a computer from apple Mac OSX10.7.   If anyone can help it would be appreciated that I already tried many ways to find the answer.  My ticket of social mobilization will not open my ebook in Adobe Digital Edition.  I have an adobe id, downloaded adobe digital edition, my computer is allowed with the right email address, even as the adobe id.  Then I downloaded an ebook from a public library.  The ticket of social mobilization is revealed in my computer downloads.  The ADE is in the Applications folder.

  When I double click on the ticket of social mobilization in the computer downloads the file, it opens the app ADE, but nothing happens from there (the e-book does not appear in the ADE, nor if the ticket of SOCIAL mobilization appears). Even if I opened the ADE, click on 'Add article to the library', I can find the downloads to the computer folder, but download of CMHA is grey, I can't choose it and click on it.  That's the problem.  I can't understand why?

  My computer does not have the firewall enabled (I checked this in my system preferences).  I also have adobe flash installed according to my system preferences.

  Create a backup of the original file "restore."

  Close the ADE if it is open.

  Go to Documents > my digital editions. Rename the folder to restore restore.old.

  Note: 'Documents' can be named 'My Documents'.

  Download a new copy of the title.

  Open (or run) the newly downloaded eBook (which is a file of SOCIAL mobilization).

  When you open the file, ADE will be pop up and load the eBook you selected.

  2. have you updated the software and drivers for the webcam?

  You can check if the webcam is detected in Device Manager and also try to update the drivers.

  a.Click Start and type device manager in start search and press ENTER.

  b. in Device Manager check if the Webcam is listed.

  c. right click on the webcam and try to update the drivers.

  You need an external mouse, or something before you do this, because the touchpad is very hard to follow reactivate without using a mouse.

  3. In the mouse properties dialog box, click the device settings tab, and then click settings.

  I had my HP ENVY 15 t-q100 CTO Notebook PC in September 2014. It has 8.1, 64-bit Windows. For the first few weeks of use, I don't have any problems. Then, I started having occurrences more problems of cursor/touchpad to the point where it happens all the hours of use (not a problem of external mouse):

  Jump around on the screen (a few millimeters in inches).

  Move per increment on its own without me anywhere near the laptop (usually spazzes left).

  Does not allow scrolling functions / normal touchpad when problems are happening.

  Works as if I am holding down the click button while I try to move it - mostly frustrating when I make the important work.

  At random click things that I try to move it.

  Here's what I tried to do to fix this and did not work:

  Roll back the driver (did not work).

  Update driver (no update available).

  Reset the device (works for a minute or two).

  Reboot (I do it everyday anyway).

  Reduce the speed of the cursor and other mouse options offered online.

  I've seen similar problems for the HP Envy 17 and other laptops, but no real solutions have been proposed. Please help me with this problem.

  In January 2015, I received by mail, a brand new Envy 15 t-q100 purchased HP's official website. Packaging and the laptop is here Mint (aesthetically speaking). That being said, I had the exact symptoms described in this thread since the first day. With a replacing synaptics driver, I was able to stabilize the mouse enough to effectively use the tool 'curve of pressure. " Then, I determined that it was in fact a hardware problem. I noticed that from time to time, the "animation" icon would indicate that pressure is applied even if I wasn't touching the laptop. If I applied pressure by pressing or stirring on the basis of the Palm, would stop the pressure indication and use mouse returns to normal. However, this problem gradually went from bad to worse, and finally the touchpad does not have all together. Firmware and BIOS flashing helped before, but has been either nothing change.  I debated on referring to HP for repairs under warranty, but after having to wait a month to get this unit in the first place, in addition to reading all these horror stories of people coming back a semi destroyed unity and always faced with the same symptoms, I was ready to fight against myself. so, I found a source replacement nine track want pads 'zone of control '. Ninety-nine percent sure that I had a defective keypad, I bought P/N "761210-001" to "parts_direct101" for $59.95 ebay seller. Disassembly, I discovered that one of the screw mount for the pad was loose (this may have contributed to the problem). I decided to replace the pad in any case. Finally. No more glitches. After months of experimentation and reading these forums, I have now a mouse working 100%! It's been more than 2 weeks now, since I replaced the touch pad and still no problems! I use my laptop 3-4 hours per day. I always use the synaptics driver installed replacement from "dpinst.exe" found in the x 64 folder downloaded directly on the website of synaptics 'uncompressed'. I have not tried to update with windows update again. Just happy to finally have a mouse to work on this beast of a machine. I'll keep you all posted if this problem will never return. With regard to the absence being automated support generic responses to "Customer Service" aka HP, I guess HP has accidentally put on a bad batch of caterpillars and they simply cannot 'afford' parts, labour and logistics to issue a notice of recall of this magnitude! Unfortunately, this laptop must be completely disassembled to replace the touchpad. I would NOT recommend this fix if you feel that it is beyond your skill level. Instead, call the HP technical support and insist that you have received a unit with a defective keypad.   Welcome to Microsoft Answers Forums.

  You will need to enable the touchpad on the laptop itself.

  Find the area of the touch pad, you will find a button to enable or disable the touchpad.

  If the step above doesn't, try this step.

  Go to control panel > mouse > device settings tab
  Click (or to disable)

  

  Notes:
  On some models, there is a keyboard shortcut to enable or disable the touchpad. For example, ACER, just do Fn + F7.
  You can click on Reset device if none of these solutions work.

  If you still can't touch pad to work, you will need to contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer for more information.
