TouchSmart 23-h024 stand adjustment

Is the rear support on the adjustable Touchsmart? If so, how it unlock? It feels as if I could easily break.

Hello BikeCheese,

I understand that you are looking for your PC of all-in-one HP Pavilion TouchSmart 23 has or not an adjustable support. The stand of type bridge, which is solid and should be easy to adjust is adjusted by pulling from the rear. It should work like the image below:

ATTENTION: He only goes so far in order not to force. If you can't move it by light pressure you are at the limit of its adjustment and forcing could break.

I hope that I have answered your question to your satisfaction. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

I don't know why you are puzzled, it of an all in one, just like a laptop and works just like a laptop in terms of these functions. It is NOT a monitor with the possibility to be connected to a variety of different sources.

If it is not common, if you went the advanced settings for the display, you will also gain adjustments more and you can really bumble in there if you try.

What was your original operating system? The brightness setting worked properly with this OS?

Have you updated all drivers available for your computer?  If this is not the case, try to use the HP Support Assistant for available updates. Computers HP - using HP Support Assistant (Windows 10, 8, 7)

If you have updated the drivers and there is no change with the brightness setting, then it is likely the display driver is not totally compatible with Windows 10. In this case, try the following:

    1. search for the Device Manager and run it.

    2. go to the display of the maps section

    3. right click on the display driver, and choose Update driver software

    4. in the menu of the interface choose "Browse my computer for driver software".

5 choose "Let me pick from a list of drivers on my computer".

    6. in the next screen, select "Microsoft base Display Adapter" in the list under the section "Show compatible hardware".  then click on "Next".

    7. the driver must be installed and check if the brightness slider works for you.

Please let me know if it works for you and if it does not solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

You need the VESA mount option. This way your minimum angle would be completely vertical and you could open it up to a negative 10 degrees.

  • ENVY of HP TouchSmart 15-j053c: need Driver Audio for HP ENVY 15

While trying to solve the problem of automatic adjustment of the volume for my laptop, I accidentally deleted the sound card driver.

I did a hard reset hoping it would fix itself, the IDT Codec appears in Device Manager, but it is not functional. Try to update in device to an error Manager sons (connection WiFi certainly to work properly, is not a problem of the internet).

I went to the page of the devices on the HP website to download a replacement, but no drivers were found.  I hope that this is a problem with the site and not that the drivers have been abandoned.

    Please provide the drivers!

  • How do I reinstall BEATS AUDIO into my computer TOUCHSMART from HP ENVY TILT 27

Hello. I had a big problen in my TOUCHSMART from HP ENVY TILT 27 computer, so I had to wipe everything out. The operating system that I had before, was 8.1 windows so I had to BEAT AUDIO, and now I have installed Windows 7 then beat Audio disappeared. Can someone tell me how to install it back.

    Hi there @Miguelaq,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. With the model I can link the appropriate support page. Normally the Beats Audio software is part of the audio, such as driver for the IDT audio device.  Have you used a stand-alone OS disk to install Windows 7, or you use recovery media?

I have a HP touchsmart 300 and the brightness just dropped significantly.

First, check your power settings, it can be raised in there.  Then right click the desktop see if you have an option for Nvidia settings or simply customize and you can search until you get to adjust the desktop settings.  You can ride the gamma or brightness of the screen from there.

  • HP TouchSmart 600 - 1070 has blocking of overheating?

    I am repairing a Touchsmart 600-1070a who suffered a fall from his office (damaged the on/off switch, but that is fixed), already replaced the HARD drive that had bad sectors.  There seems to be a lot of cumulative small hiccups, including;

    * sometimes not even bring to the top of the screen on powerup, remains black despite the fans running, power light.

I suspect that it is a matter of gfx module or connector problem, as I loosened and forced the GFX module in its unlocked connector and reinstall the graph LVDS lead and - apparently - to have solved the problem for now.

    * for execution, will crash intermittently Win7 and how the region of radiator for chipset is exceptionally hot (about 50' C) and it is with the metal plate still attached.

To do this, I don't know what approach to take.  There is a spacer between the heat sink for this chipset and the metal casing that is filled by a heat-carrier pad.  My suspicion is that the pressure of the arriere-stand against the metal actually requires chassis-pad-heatsink to stick, but I think now that the cushion is probably due to replace or another option sorted as things are just not too hot

Someone else had a similar problem?

The GPU and CPU radiators have all been cleaned with compressed air / brush and work correctly.

(photo showing the motherboard exposed without the metal support pregnant.  The radiator in question is orange, one located in the center of the motherboard near the memory.

I placed a layer of transfer thermal padding that is normally used between transistors/MOSFETS and sinks of heat, about 1 mm thick, on top of the orange radiator - seems to have now settled the system down, played a video DVD and YouTube full length at the same time without crashing.

    So now, we have chip|heatsink|transfer-padding|pale-transfer-thick-padding|metal-backing.

Active cooling a bit more would have been nice in the form of a fan from somewhere, but as long as it doesn't crash, I guess.   Metal case houses approximately 49' C around the location of the radiator.

  • monitor wouldn't come, saying current self-adjustment

What is "setting auto in progress"?

My computer started very well, but I didn't know that my monitor displays this message whenever I tried to turn it off, & he would not shut down.

After 15 minutes of pushing the button, I decided to type my password & 'listen' to hear if windows is actually starts & it did.

I then tried to turn off my computer and my monitor turned on.

    * beep *? How this cause by stopping? Laughing out loud

    Hello cme_2,

Looks like your monitor is stuck trying to adjust.

First try unplugging the monitor from the computer and the wall outlet. Let stand for a minute. Then reconnect the monitor on the wall outlet first, and then reconnect to the computer. Start the computer.
