TouchSmart Netflix connection does not connect

I have a problem where the Netflix to run the application through the application of HP touchsmart will record not in.  If I go to a browser and get on Netflix from this location, it works fine.  I called Netflix and we set up a new password but also deleted cookies and it has not solved the problem.  Netflix said that is not their problem, there might be something specific to the application of HP touchsmart.  Anyone have this problem?

    It is a machine CTO, but have many models of the Touchsmart 600 HIMI IN port series, not OUT port so you can't connect to a TV using HDMI in order to get the picture on the TV.

    Can't find where to register and connect my Media Player... went to internetsony.tv and it seemed to be all adds for software and other.

    Unlike other video services personal, Netflix does not appear on the Sony Essentials website. Instead, Netflix accounts are activated directly from the Netflix icon on the media player menu.

  • HP Pavilion 15-n241ca TouchSmart laptop touch does not

    I got this laptop a few months there are source in Alberta in the Canada. Worked well for a week or two and then the touchscreen began to stop working intermittently.

    Once or twice, it seemed that permits to clean the screen (not salty) but no more.

    It has just stopped working completely during the last month or so.

    I tried the cleanser to windows on a towel and a microfibre cloth... completely to edges and nothing.

    I ran all the troubleshooters, updates of pilot... everything is up to date and working correctly or what they say.

    Thanks for the help. Wish I had asked earlier.

    But... I went to the conversation in support of the site and spoke to a representative of HP service. It to distance a diagnosis and tried to get touchscreen operational mmy, but nothing would work. Finish by wiping off my machine and try from scratch. Still nothing.

    My computer will be picked up by UPS in a few days for a journey to the nearest service center. Obviously, I have hardware problems.

    So my computer is not working properly, BUT the HP customer service is safe.

    Everyone I spoke to there was just great and SO happy to help you. Looks like I'm being sarcastic, but I'm NOT. First day was Gio (sp?) and yesterday it was Cory I think was called the snowman.

    I'm in the Canada, they are in the Philippines.

    These guys were both so friendly and we chatted and laughed as we worked on my machine.

    They felt like old friends.

    Yesterday with Cory was hilarious.

    He asks a few questions... in his professional voice... I let him know that the system restore didn't help and after a few more questions, he asked my delivery address so that my laptop could be picked up.  I'm out to my mailing address and name of course... I tell him the city, then the province (Alberta) and dude BUSTS OUT a "CANADA!"  you're in CANADA! "YES! Yes, I'M in the Canada!

    You see, here at the Canada and especially in Alberta (80% of all NEW jobs in the Canada are created in ALBERTA) there is a SERIOUS labor shortage. We import many workers and MANY are Philipinos. Many are great friends of mine. I'm a musician and a BATCH of Philipinos (they are a bit like Mexican... somehow, MANY of them are GREAT singers. As I mean SCARY good singers... and I met and was good friends with a bunch of musicians Philipino back in the early/mid-90s called the boys of Manilla-Shout Out to Freddie and Oscar).  and so... I feel some sort of connection to the Philippines and it's people and of course, a lot of Philipinos like the Canada and Canadians.

    WHY the rave on the Philippines? Well Yes... I got a little roundabout, BUT... my POINT is that Westerners lament and complain of having to deal with Service Centers the company customer. Sometimes rightly so. You know, a lot of times you call to ask questions on an item and you talk to people in India (also have many Indian friends... This isn't a disparagement) or China or somewhere where they're TRYING to help, but the language barrier is hard to overcome. Warm up. On both ends of the line or the internet, people feel frustrated... you know how it goes.

    BUT... with HP and I talked to three different representatives of CS at LEAST, EVERYONE was VERY helpful. Everyone knew exactly what they were doing. We are patient. They were HAPPY. They spoke a PERFECT English.

    We were able to get my machine... my touch screen works again? Nope :-(

    My machine will work soon? I hope so. MAYBE... IF the service center, it goes to employs Philipino Tech lol.

    As I said Gio, it is the FIRST factory built, brand name of computer I bought in 10 years. My FIRST was an Emachines and it worked perfectly for YEARS. I just grew out of it. Since then, I've been buying little outfits or my own machines, I have pieced together.

    I'm SO happy that I chose an HP machine this time.

    I didn't even need to produce a receipt (I have and would have been able to). GIO remotely connected to my laptop and find all the information he needed.  There was a moment where I said something like... "oh no." Do you think maybe the Source a replacement policy or something? ' and Gio said... "Oh you don't have to worry about this. I see here that you have the complete warranty coverage (I did not purchase the extended warranty when I bought the laptop) until March of next year.

    Once again, my experience with the HP Customer Service has been phenomenal every time I called or chatted with them. GIO has made all diagnostic tests in the book. He uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers. There are troubleshooting performed. He has tried this and he tried. He gave me GREAT instructions. We did a full system restore.

    Once who has not fixed the problem they immediately sent me a box of UPS to take my computer back in. I didn't have to make a complaint or claim or ask or demand. Once the restore has failed THEIR next thing was to get my machine service.

    Between you and me I am hoping that there is something seriously wrong and maybe they'll send me a NEW notebook and maybe this will be the next model!  Yes Yes I know, wishful thinking. But hey... my sons iPod broke down a couple of years and Apple (which is CS was ALSO amazing... at least it was a few years ago) sent him a replacement. The NEXT generation of iPod!

    Samsung Note 2 my wife began to... Well do not receive calls. Samsung has it send to the nearest service center. It worked fine for one day and then started not to receive calls again. Samsung free (sort of) said... ok this time ONLY we'll send it to a center of service AGAIN.

    They did, and it dint work... again. Clearly, they were just a hard factory reset... which my wife had already tried a bunch of times. She has somewhat given up on Samsung and said... you know... I think I'll go back to Apple. Their CS was so much BETTER than Samsung.

    But the next day (like 2 weeks ago), she spoke at Telus, its supplier of cells and explained that his phone was not working and she was a loyal customer of Telus for decades. As his monthly bill (for 3 phones... mine, his and our son) are as close to $200 (Yes, we live in a remote location). She said that when its contracts are met it will be with another (cheaper) provider and another phone. BTW... all 3 of us currently have Samsung droid phones.

    Welllll... TELUS took the steering wheel and said... Don't worry me MAA.  There is no service in your town center so just return it to where you bought the note 2. We just called them and they are waiting for you. They are ready to replace your phone. Simply put the Note2 for a recovery.

    She goes to the store and they say... choose any phone again. It is on Telus.

    They did not have the S5 in stock, but she prefers larger notes, while she walked out with a brand new Samsung Note3 :-)

    The moral of this story which is nowadays that service most of the customer business is VERY GOOD. HP is NO exception.

    My HP hardware has a few problems, so I wouldn't be able to assess their products as EXCEPTIONAL, but their CS? It is MORE than EXCEPTIONAL.

    If YOU're in the market for a new computer, PLEASE if HP is in your line of sight. You are in GREAT hands with HP. I would recommend HP to EVERYONE.

    My computer does not work correctly. I'll be without even if he died (it would be NICE if they had a policy of loan but...) I hope that the turnaround time will be SHORT) but I hope that I will not be without TOO long and who knows... Perhaps they will have to replace my whole notebook and if they do, maybe they'll upgrade me for the next model. Wishful thinking again, I know, but anyway... I KNOW I'll have a good state of computer market again before too long.

    Thank you for your responses and suggestions. I think that this thread (without THIS long post) will be useful to many people who have problems with the touch screen in the future.  We'll just hope that "many people" will not be NEEDING help and usually HAVE problems with touch screen.

I understand that some USB ports do not work on your system. I'm happy to help you with this. As a start, please report the number of complete product for your computer. Check out the following, if you need assistance with this information. How can I find my model number or product number?

    The side ports worked before?

    Are the version of USB ports on the side of 2.0 or 3.0 on your model?

    Have you tried updating the drivers on your computer? If this is not the case, the HP Support Assistant could help with this. On most models done component USB on board chip set drivers.

    Did you create another user with admin rights profile to see if it works? The current user profile may be corrupted.

    Yes, 1 blinking means that your CPU has gone wrong.

    Unfortunately it must be replaced.

    Either, if it is under warranty, HP, or, if it is out of warranty by you or a member of the family a friend with some computer knowledge or if you have not it professionals warned in your immediate vicinity, you can try to take it to a local computer store.

    If your unit is out of warranty, so depending on your location and how you can spend (by a friend/member of family or pay for it, the store of the local computer), the best solution might be to replace it with a new unit if possible.

    Hope I've been able to give you a little info is useful to you.

  • My touchpad HP TouchSmart clicking on does NOT work.

    I have a TouckSmart HP tx2 and ive had only 2 weeks. But the touchpad (don't know exactly how it's called exactly) does not work. The mouse moves with my finger, but he won't let me NOT clicking anything whatsoever with my finger on the pad. The button works well even if that's how I click on things... the clues?

    Try to go to Windows Update

    See if there is an updated driver for your touchpad option and install it

    for example something Synaptics?

  • TouchSmart 520 keyboard does not

    Yesterday, I was using my computer when the keyboard suddenly stopped working.  I jumped the old batteries, which lasted for a while (Duracell curiously) and put in 2 AAA Energizer batteries.  I go back and the keyboard will not connect.  I know the Connect button on the back of the keyboard, but my Touchsmart 520 did not come with a receiver.  Also, I replaced the batteries before and I didn't have to do something special, that synchronize to the top in less than a minute.  I tried to re-boot, pressing connect, but nothing has changed.  Anyone has an idea on how to make it work again?

    Mine never came with a receiver, and I solved the problem by replacing the new energizers with new Duracell.  Thanks for the help anyway!

    My HP Touchsmart has worked almost flawlessly for a year and a half, until today when I tried it alarm off mode 'sleep'. Once I tried to move my mouse to turn it on, I heard a noise of high tone from the battery under my desk. At this point, I realized that the computer was not turn on and the battery LED blinking, as if to tell me that there is some sort of error. Well my sister has the same exact model I computer and I tried with his battery and it worked, but when I tried battery and power cord with mine it did not work.

    I know that there must be an internal problem now. I tried held in the power button for 5 sec, 30 sec, and even 2 minutes before plug it and try to turn it on, but in any case, it failed. I removed the rear case and removed the small battery inside and then reinserted it but not good, and finally I tried to delete the hard drive insert it again, but not luck. It's very upsetting, but I'm hanging there in the hopes of restoring my PC; any advice or help is greatly appreciated!

    The box with wires connecting your PC to the power of the House is called a power adapter.  Inside the power adapter, there is a transformer, diodes and a control circuit current voltage\. It's what made sure the power to your PC is what it takes.

    A flashing led on the power adapter indicates a malfunction of the power supply or the motherboard of the PC adapter.

    You have all other USB devices that the mouse or keyboard connected to your PC when you try to start it? If the answer is Yes, then disconnect devices.

    Was there recently a lightning storm or power outage at your home?

  • Spectrum XT Touchsmart 15-1410n: does not detect the new hard drive

    After the upgrade to Windows 10 my hard drive divided into 9 different partitions, and most of them have been corrupted and I couldn't save it. I bought a new hard drive (HGST Travelstar 7K 1000) and replaced my old drive. I used a USB stick to boot and install Ubuntu 14.04 detected but only a 32GB Samsung drive and not my HGST 1 TB drive. How can I fix it? I would like to be able to access my new drive. Google says to mess with the SATA controller, but I can't do it in my BIOS. Any suggestions?

    You are not it is hidden. In my view, that Magical Jelly Bean can pull the Code out of the BIOS license once Windows is installed, but if you reinstall the same OS (Windows 8, correct version) it will be ignited automatically the first time that you connect to the internet.

    I tried today to make my netflix.ca account in Windows Media Center, but no idea whates passes.  I have read hours of instructions and tried everything but the link would not show upward in Media Center, period.  I have Windows 7 Pro on a 64-bit computer.  Also checked the XBOX 360 for the plugin promissed but still nothing.  You guys work or already have one of these...

    The native application of Netflix in Windows Media Center is not supported in the Canada. Unfortunately, that's all the information I have at the moment.

    I have windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.  I try to get the netflix option if displayed in Media Center, but do not have a chance.  I ran the command prompt commands to try to make it work that I found on the internet (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/972496).  I tried also deselect the media library and it has been uninstalled and I reinstalled it now.  Still no luck.  What other options do I have?     Netflix is not released for Windows 7 and yet you should see it appear around the 22nd.  If you have installed the netflix for vista you'll want to uninstall.

    Recently, the keyboard on my laptop has stopped working. I tried to reset the laptop and do a hard reset, but nothing seems to work. I have to use the keyboard to type on the touch screen.

    When I turn on the laptop, I can type the password without any problem but after about 5 minutes, the keyboard seems to turn off automatically for some reason any. Only by restarting the computer seems to solve this problem.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello and thanks for the display on the HP support forum.  What you can do at this point that there are several updates released by microsoft and hardware vendors is running the Windows Update Troubleshooter.

    If this fails to solve the problem.  The only option will be to restore the operating system to the previous, until HP gets the drivers so that they can release them on the support page for your laptop for Windows 10.
