Trackpad / acting erratically slider

Hello

My cursor/trackpad on my MBP 2011 acts erratically and has a mind of your own. Desktop computers are moving left and right at random, the screen grows and Launchpad launches independently. The trackpad lack of sensitivity and so it is almost impossible to control the cursor. The problem is the same mode without failure.

I deleted all Bluetooth devices. I did a reset of the SCM and LANDAU. I removed the battery, which, to my untrained eyes had look ok, although the left side screw blocking, closest to the road, he lost, is envelope so the screw doesn't help. However, I didn't see any pieces of loose plastic in the machine.

If I check the box in system preferences ' ignores built in trackpad when mouse or a trackpad wireless is present ' and plug in a USB mouse, the system is stable. However, if I plug the USB mouse, but leave the box ticked goes haywire once again.

Ideas please, I don't know where to go from here?

  • Trackpad acting odd.  Insensitive to touch and top with 1/3 doesn't work.

    HI, my Macbook Air is just by its care of apple for 3 years and the trackpad has starting acting weird.

    It is very sensitive to the touch and the top of page 1/3 in particular is almost dead, unless you rub hard.  He gets very nervous to use, and it has now got to the point, it is unusable.

    Another side effect, it seems that the keyboard is blocked sort of as if SHIFT CAPS LOCK is activated when the trackpad is odd.

    If I connect a magical mouse and disable the trackpad, and then it works fine and no problems with the keyboard.

    So my thought was the trackpad is defective.  I bought a new replacement apple trackpad and replaced it thinking that would solve the problem, but it's exactly the same way - so it doesn't seem like the trackpad and would point to something between the trackpad signal and I think that... the card mother maybe?

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

  • Trackpad acts as it is controlled remotely

    MY trackpad will not answer me, but the cursor moves as if someone has access to it remotely. How can I fix it?

    There are several possible causes for the behavior. Please take each of the following steps that you have not already tried until it is resolved. Some may not apply in your case.

    1. follow the instructions provided in this support article, so this one, as appropriate. A damaged or defective power adapter could be the cause, even if it's the right kind.

    2 simultaneously press the four corners of the trackpad and release. If there is no effect, it is likely to be temporary, and in this case the device must be repaired or replaced.

    3. disconnect or turn off each Bluetooth or USB pointing device, one at a time, testing as you go. You may be able to identify one that is defective. By a pointing device "," I mean a device that moves the cursor, trackpad, mouse, trackball, or tablets. A regular keyboard isn't a pointing device. If you have a desktop without a built-in trackpad design, at least an external pointing device must be active at all times.

    4. If your model has an infrared receiver for use with an Apple Remote, turn off .

    5. start in safe mode and test, preferably without launching any third-party application. If you do not have the problem in safe mode, but it comes back when you restart as usual, stop here and post your results. Do the same if you cannot start in safe mode. If there is no difference in safe mode, continue to the next step.

    6 reset the system management controller.

    7. If you use a mouse or a trackpad, Bluetooth, investigate potential interference sources, including 3 USB devices.

    8. a swollen in a laptop battery can encroach on the trackpad underneath and cause erratic behavior. If you have trouble clicking the trackpad, it is probably the reason. The battery must be replaced without delay.

    9. a faulty device or a damaged cable can cause the built-in trackpad to a MacBook to behave erratically. If you use the wired devices, disconnect them one at the time and the test.

    10. There is also a report of movement erratic cursor caused by an external display that was plugged in but not turned on.

    11. If you use transfer, disable it in the general pane of system preferences.

    12. If the mirroring of airtime to a TV is turned on, turn it off.

    13. If none of the above apply, or if you have another reason to believe that your computer is remotely controlled, pull it out of the network by turning off Wi - Fi (or your Wi - Fi access point), disconnect a Bluetooth network connection, then unplug the Ethernet cable or a USB modem, whichever is applicable. If the movement of the cursor stops at the same time, you should suspect an intrusion.

    14. an appointment of 'Genius' in an Apple store to do the machine or the tested external trackpad.

  • Satellite L500-017 - acting erratically CPU

    I recently bought the Satellite L500-017 who has the dual-core processor Intel Pentium T4200 2.0GHz and came preloaded with Vista Home Premium.

    Being a buff and new XP on Vista, I wonder why my dual-core CPU is erratically? Nifty box it jump around, watch same redlining of use of 90%, which seems strange for a dual-core. The AMD X 2 3200 + on my PC never jump that much.

    Any ideas? Is considering wiping in all cases for Windows 7 x 64 or go back to XP x 64 anyway, I wonder if I'll have the same questions in one of these versions.

    Thank you!

    Mike

    Hello!

    I put also t know why this happens, but I guess that the reason is not the CPU, it s software. Maybe you run a large number of background processes or have installed a large number of software applications.

    First of all, I would recommend deletion Toshiba TEMRPO because I founded this:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/FAQ9401B10001R01.htm

    In addition, it would be interesting to know what software AntiVirus or InternetSecurity you use.
    I have good experiences with Kaspersky and AntiVir.

    Good bye

  • Can you please help me solve my jumpy, erratic trackpad?

  • Satellite L40 15G - Touchpad behaves erratically

    Hello

    I have a Toshiba Satellite L40 laptop 15G, and recently, I am aware that the cursor has not correctly when using the Touchpad.

    That I usually use a mouse with my laptop with absolutely NO problems, I do not know how long the touchpad works wrong.

    According to the specifications of the system, the speed controller is labeled Synaptics PS/2 Port Touchpad, 10.0.3.0 Version.
    Well, it is the last in use, because since I have detected the anomaly, I tried a lot of Synaptics Touchpad drivers with no result.

    However, I have tried this [workaround | http://forums.toshiba.com/t5/Keyboards-Touchpads/Solved-Synaptic-Touchpad-not-working/m-p/272949#M10565] and the Touchpad seemed to work properly. But for just 30 seconds after the startup process in Windows environment?  :|. After that, the cursor slowly begins to act erratically.
    After a second reboot, the slider have the same erratic behavior as before, using the touchpad.
    In Safe Mode, the problem is the same.

    The only way to recreate the same "normal" cursor using touchpad behavior done this workaround mentioned before.

    Note: in all cases, the buttons on the keypad two touchscreen works perfectly. If the mouse USB.

    Can someone give me some clues to solve this problem?
    Thank you very much!

    The solution described seems to be only a time option in case the touchpad would stop working due to some problems in the system.
    But in your case, it looks like a hardware problem.

  • Using navigationMovement() as a trackpad/trackball mouse

    Greettings and regards other developers.  a few quick details I use the blackberry JDE 5.0 on Eclipse Galileo, I created a method of mouse for pavers and balls.  Try to expand my horizons of sale, two possible losses haunt my thoughts.

    side 1: the mouse works fine until you roll two directions at once, example left and upwards at the same time moves alone, he left or up not both.

    side 2: the touchpad does not roll like the balloon, this method will probably fine work for the ball, but not the key.

    This is the code for my navigationMovement() method

    protected boolean navigationMovement(int dx,int dy,int status,int time)
        {
            super.navigationMovement(dx, dy, status, time);
            if (!mouseOn) //places mouse on first run but doesnt repeat
                {
                mouses.addElement(new Sprite(Utility.SCREEN_WIDTH / 2, Utility.SCREEN_HEIGHT / 2));
                mouseOn = true;
                }
            Sprite f = (Sprite) mouses.firstElement(); //sprite class updates x and y coordinates //Focussing on the x/y of the mouse(i know using a vector is silly here)
            f.x+= (dx * 10);
            f.y+= (dy * 10);    //moves the mouse according to dx/dy input

            if((f.x + mouse.getWidth()) > Utility.SCREEN_WIDTH) f.x = Utility.SCREEN_WIDTH - mouse.getWidth();
            else if(f.x < 0) f.x = 0;
            if((f.y + mouse.getHeight()) > Utility.SCREEN_HEIGHT) f.y = Utility.SCREEN_HEIGHT - mouse.getHeight();
            else if(f.y < 0) f.y = 0;        //keeps the mouse from scrolling off screen

            invalidate();     //update screen
            return true;
        }

    Is there a way to make the trackpad act as the trackball with this method, or it will be slow and jerky?  I know that the trackpads have magnitude and direction.  So I hope that's not too bad, it seems to work on the Simulator, but I need a tester phone or real app ready to try this for me.

    More importantly, how do I get the mouse to move both directions if the ball goes both directions? I have some ideas on what may be an if statement to check if both directions are going at once, then run both directions.  But it seems that both must be running.

    Thanks in advance.

    -Andy

    I just realized this post was a little out of place, thanks to blackberry api I got including this one.

  • My xpos and PositionY onstage does not work properly

    stage.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_MOVE, action);

    function action(event:MouseEvent)
    {
    trace ("you clicked" + event.localX double);

    Box.x = Event.localX;
    Box.y = Event.localY;

    }

    What you trying to accomplish?  You may be misinterpretting that represent event.localX/Y properties.  event.localX and event.localY don't necessarily offer the x and y position of the mouse in the stadium (which probably thought you of the answer you have agreed in another message you have)

    Try this code (with box of your object always around here) and you should get the correct idea that event.localX/Y is... Click on the area of the empty stage and the purpose of the box.

    stage.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, action);

    function action(event:MouseEvent)
    {
    trace (Event.localX);
    trace (Event.localY);
    }

    Of this, you should see that event.localX/Y are relative to the object where the event occurs, not the scene.

    If your code you probably see the area act erratically, moving to follow the cursor to jump to some remote corner of the stage (depends on the size of the box and where axis).  It is because the localX is switching between the scene and the area coordinate system when you move permanently to and from the location of the slider box.

  • Thunderbird freezes when Windows 10 fate of mode 'sleep'. SOLVED by disabling lightning, provider for Google Calendar and calendar Tweak

    Since the update of Windows 7 Windows 10, Thunderbird has acted erratically. At random times, he keeps checking for new messages. If I then try to manually check for mail, it freezes. He meets some menu commands, but by clicking anywhere in the components (list the mailboxes), the list of messages, etc. does nothing. Sometimes, it opens a white notification window, which I can only get rid of kill it with Task Manager. More often, if I just close Thunderbird and start it again, it starts working normally again... For a period of time. The problem seems to happen most often when I turn Windows off mode 'sleep', but

    I'm currently under Thunderbird 38.2.0.

    I tried to disable some add-ons that I wasn't really using. I'll see if that helps. I saw that he suggested that users with similar problems running Thunderbird with all disabled add-ons, but I also saw that it said that it is really only a temporary fix rather than a real solution and I agree. List of enabled extensions:

    Add-on Compatibility Reporter 1.1.1
    The Update Checker 2.13 module
    Check compatibility 1.3.1
    Compact header 2.1.0
    Mark all as read button 0.7.1
    Reduce to a minimum at Lac revived 1.1.2.1

    Any other suggestions? Anyone else having the same problem? I saw a few others with Windows 10 problems, but nothing quite matched mine.

    Thanks for the help. Until now, deactivation of lightning, provider for Google Calendar and calendar Tweaks seems to have solved the problem. If it begins to freeze again, I'll do Mode without fail a test.

  • X carbon 1 2016 tap slow response

    Since the first day, I noticed that computer of this new trackpad acted slowly on taps. I tried to find solutions, but cannot. Then finally I found 'disable the filter faucet stem' solves the problem. After disabling this feature, any tap mouse provides an immediate response.

    Blahblah_gc,

    Think that engineering reports that tap touchpad response you describe is the carbon 1 X 4th Gen touchpad works as expected.

    A filter by default touchpad function has been implemented to avoid involuntary touchpad taps. With the filter in place, response time is 250 milliseconds in all regions of the touchpad.

    As you noted, turn off the tap of edge filter provides an answer immediately but can also cause a loss of control for some 1 X carbon 4th Gen customers.

    Thank you

    HP PS2 optical mouse on my HP Pavilion a6547c desktop computer started acting erratic.  Sometimes, it works very well, but more often then not, this does not work properly.  Most of the problems occur then that on internet (Firefox) and in a forum.  When you try to move to the next page, is not always detect the click on the symbol of the page next or page number.  When you try to go back, using the arrow at the top of Firefox, it will sometimes jump back two pages.  When you try to close a window with the X in upper-right, it will occasionally close the window, I was on that and the following on-screen.

    You can test your computer use another mouse? From what you describe, it seems quite possible that the mouse is just. You can pick up a decent optical mouse for $10-15 of: just about anywhere. Or maybe borrow one from a friend if you want to test and make sure that it has solved the problem before you buy.

    I realize a hardware problem of mouse does not explain why problems occur more often in Firefox/forums, but it's a good thing to rule out anyway.
