Trackpad gel

Hello, Apple community. I recently bought in February a 13.3 inch MacBook Pro retina and it already gives me a problem. He has recently started to freeze the trackpad and the wired mouse that I have connected. He's done a few times already. I don't know exactly what it takes any to restart my computer, but I feel that it should not happen that it is practically a brand new computer. I think it's software related, but I could be wrong. I upgraded 10.11.4 El Capitan. It's the only thing I've done. Anyone else having this problem? Is there a solution? Thank you guys!

If I understand correctly, the computer slow when you type in any application. Looks like you already have a troubleshooting. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the cause.

  • ES1 - 111M trackpad always gel

I've updated the BIOS as described in my previous thread, it worked better for a while, then back to freezing again upward.  I tried to update the driver and I even completely reinstalled Windows and factory reset my Acer Aspire, once again, worked great up to a certain point and then just started to freeze again upward.

Any ideas or suggestions on how to fix this?  Could this be a hardware problems and nothing to do with Windows?  I haven't had the unit for a year.  The problem is that the problem is intermittent and does not always the case so I'm worried don't diagnose and test (in Thailand) Acer support the machine enough and will see it works and assume it is fixed without proper investigation.

Can I try all the other drivers for the trackpad (Windows 8.1) of another Acer model to see if that helps?

Thank you very much - Ian

    Excellent, glad it's working again.

Maybe he thinks that El Capitan with not enough ram?

No matter who else knows about this and all the patches?

    Thank you...

After a new installation, more 350 000 files of Mac OS X may have changed. It will take a few hours before Spotlight and its subtask, mdworker re-indexing are finished and your Mac should be more responsive.

4 GB is supposed to be enough for ordinary under ElCapitan. But more than 4 GB can often exploit more adapted.

For the advanced work such as Photo, video, sound, CAD or simulations, more 4 GB would be certainly necessary for good performance.

  • El Capitan 10.11.4 gel/Fans questions.

Hello everyone, first I apologize in advance for my English because it is not my first language.

I have a new MacBook Pro retina 13 "early 2015.

For the last 5 months, I had the OSX El Capitan 11.10.3, who came out of the box with the computer. And it has always worked perfectly.
In the last 5 months the mac never gave me any kind of questions!
I mainly use the computer for listening music, browsing, chatting or writing texts (using base really anything heavy)

U - unfortunately , I have to say, a couple of days ago on the App Store, I noticed a new version of update to OSX "11.10.4" and I decided to upgrade.
Well, after a few hours, that I've upgraded to the new version my mac started having several issues.
All first of all Fans. Without any reason after 1 or 2 hours after the upgrade (I was just looking the open web to 2 pages in safari, especially facebook and youtube)
Fans have started to run really crazy and loud for 3 to 4 minutes... so strong that I thought that the computer was a blast and I closed all applications and waited for slow racing fans. The aluminium of the mac was not warm to the touch... Room temperature.
This problem happened only the first day, I upgraded. But to be honest I sometimes feel the fans that sometimes short fast and loud without no reason.

Last but not the least... GEL! Strangely also this problem showed the same day I upgraded my macbook pro to the 11.10.4 version and this happened to me about 5 times now! and it becomes a nightmare!
When you use the mac computer just freeze the screen (mouse is stuck without the wheel is completely freeze) and after 4/5 seconds the screen is blocked as the work stoppage trackpad haptic vibration. I tried to let the mac like that for about 10 minutes, but nothing... only a hard reset can fix this...

The last time that happened about an hour ago, and that's why I'm here...

I already tried to start the computer with CMD + D to Apple diagnosis and check the hardware, but it is quite well show a message "No problems found" ADP000.

Looking at the console I saw some strange messages, but as I am not a technician I don't know what kind of problem is...

Anyone of you knows the problems on their macs?

First of all: you ElCapitan, but have made typos in numbers: 10.11.3 was on it and 10.11.4 is now on it (I've made the same typo always).

Your question may be due to Spotlight indexing, but I'm not sure.

I propose to stop the mac and

Then start while now the keys CMD + R: it starts slowly in the recovery Partition called. Choose "install OS" in the menu: it will install OSX on what is in the mac, it leaves your only user data. You must have a consistent internet connection, because the OS is downloaded again. So it takes time, be prepared for it. After that, the mac restarts and installs. Supposed to be all "fallen"bits"are corrected.

  • Problems of trackpad HP Split x 2 13-m-121sa

    Hello

I recently bought a HP x 2 13-m-121sa Split and have a lot of trouble with my trackpad. When I use my computer, it will be to randomly freeze completely for about 5 to 10 seconds and does not move at all. Other times, gestures, for example two fingers to scroll, stop working altogether, only to return about 10 seconds later. It's more widespread than this gel, the gestures seem to not work about 70% of the time. When they don't work, it seems quite well. I have no trouble using gestures or run my fingers in the right way, etc.

I've updated my synaptics driver and uninstalled and reinstalled, which did not help the cause. The settings seem to be fine, that I did not choose the option to disable the trackpad. I don't think it's my computer freezing, as if I use the touch screen or a mouse, this problem does not occur.

I've updated to 8.1 from 8, I had the same problem when 8 and I thought that it might help. Computer is also entirely uptodate.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

The following fixed the same problem on a 13D x 2 Split that I used, it may be worth trying.

Open windows control panel and open the Device Manager.  Expand "Controllers of Bus USB" and you should find 2 entries for "Generic USB Hub".  Right-click on that 1 and select Properties, then select the tab power management and Remove the tick in the box "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".  Click Ok to save the setting.

Do the same for the 2nd "USB hub generic.

    Once completed, restart the laptop.

    Kind regards

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Trackpad not working not

Please help so I received a text message on my blackbery 8520 and I entered the password as usual and the trackpad would not move, I couldn't scroll but I could click but does not scroll please help.

Ok. The problem can be well mechanical.

Open the rear cover and remove the sim card and the battery. There is a small rectangular stainless steel metal plate which is the cover for the touchpad. On the left side of the plaque next to the sim card is a small sweet white piece of sticky paper covering a torx screw that holds the plate in place.

Use a torx screwdriver with a bit of size of T5 and carefully remove the screws, remove the metal plate, then reinsert and replace and tighten the torx screw. You will find that the screw was loose and the plate cannot have been firmly in place. It may solve your problem for good as a loose torx screw prevents the touchpad or the optical block to make the necessary full contact inside this cover.

Make sure not to lose the very tiny torx screws while working on this topic. You can get a torx screwdriver very cheap with a set of bits of miniature for a few s all about £ or $' s. make sure there is a bit of T5 in the game.

A temporary solution that could help until you get the right screwdriver is to put firm pressure on the cover of metal plate with your finger. This does not work for a while but the gel always returns.

Another fix recommended by some is to remove and reinstall Blackberry software, but is not a reliable solution, given the issue of loose screws. The only real difficulty is to follow the procedure above, as long as your touchpad is not physically defective and must be replaced.

  • Where to download the drivers for Boot Camp (especially for the Apple TrackPad) 6.0?

I have been using Apple TrackPad with a laptop work (published by company, Windows only) for several years now. Working recently been upgraded to Windows 10 laptop and TrackPad Apple seems to not work well.

Is there anywhere I can download the boot camp 6.0 or more precisely that of Apple TrackPad driver pack?

Please download the general of brigade (https://github.com/timsutton/brigadier). A Mac is easier, but it also works well on Windows, provided that you have installed some of the underlying software that brigadier needs. You must provide a model of Mac and it will provide a WindowsSupport.dmg for this specific Mac/model on which this trackpad is supported.

What is the new Trackpad2 or the original Trackpad?

    Hello Has1710,

Welcome to the communities of Apple Support!

I see that your iPhone is icy and stops working unexpectedly. You lock and unlock the iPhone, and then he answers. Also, you did a restart of the force and restored, and remains the same question. We appreciate certainly take you time out of your day to contact us about this, and I am sure that you are ready to get this resolved.

You mentioned that you have restored. You have restored to factory settings? If this isn't the case, let's go and save the data to your iPhone (if you haven't already done so) and restore settings to see if you get the same problem after that. Restore factory settings removes all added applications and software on the iPhone which could be causing a conflict.

The following articles will help with this:
The backup of your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch
Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings

Please let us know if that helps.

  • After the update of Sierra: not to Disable Trackpad with Magic Mouse connected

    Hello

After that I updated to macOS Sierra on my MacBook Pro the Trackpad is not disable mouse connected with Magic.

Feature: MacBook Pro retina 15 inches (end of 2014) on macOS Sierra.

Since the update, I noticed that my stays compatible with my Magic Mouse connected after built-in trackpad window connection.

In system-> accessibility-> mouse and Trackpad preferences, I have not "ignore the built-in trackpad when mouse or trackpad wireless is present". If I switch it off and on again once again, the parameter will be.

However, once I lock the device (user name right-> connection... window) and reconnect, the trackpad works. You must pass the parameter each time.

Is this a bug of Mac OS Sierra (can't find anything) or am I missing something? I am aware that the trackpad is reactivated at the login window, but before it will deactivate after logging in.

I don't use Magic Mouse, but I have USB Wired mouse and I have the same problem since installing Sierra.

I have the box ticked, but I must go and clear the check box and then save.

I have to use a mouse all the time because my trackpad goes haywire and I wasn't able to find a solution for this. It moves its own and open stuff on its own.

  • Trackpads only 2 fingers scrolling on the Mac Mini

I have two Magic trackpad (wireless), a couple of years; No will 2 fingers scrolling on my Mac Mini (try them for the first time on the Mini). both work fine on my other machines.  All machines are updated to the latest version of El Capitan, a lot of RAM.  Same settings trackpad on all machines.  The movement of the cursor trackpad, highlighting, click Select OK on the Mini, but no two fingers scrolling, without pinching to resize.  Have not checked all the possibilities, but lack of scrolling is a deal breaker.  Track pad update 1 is too old, have not found another.  Tried with mouse wireless on and outside.  A run first aid.  Reinstalled the system software.  Even enabled the scrolling options, the settings of the mouse.  Help!

If two of your machines running El Capitan and touchpads are version 1 of Trackpad, it is probably the reason.   While versions more old mouse and trackpad will work to some extent, all the features with El Capitan requires the version of Magic Trackpad 2.   The MT2 has developed especially for El Capitan and later operating systems.   I know that it's a nuisance, but the new trackpad is levied directly on your machine and needs no battery.

    Hey Lonnie Warpup,.

If I understand correctly, you are using macOS Sierra and you try to use the power of touch, but it does not perform this action.
I would recommend that you read these articles, they explain if your device supports the Force Touch, with a setting to enable and disable the Force Touch and how to set the sensitivity and how to turn the Look up feature words.
