Trajectory control

Hello

Today, I tried using the control of the path of the toolslib library. "" I tried both by using the user interface editor to add a path control to an existing user by selecting create interface"Custom Controls" Toolslib control "Path Control and also programmatically by using an existing control string, then by adding the NewPathCtrl function to my code.

However, the program has been somewhat disappointing. I was expecting that I type in the control of trajectory control displays files and directories in a list drop-down, as described in the help box. However, I haven't lived this feature... (I use CVI2012 SP1) What did I miss? I was looking for an example, but couldn't find one, so I decided to ask here...

Thank you!

Hello Wolfgang,.

It's actually what control: as long as you type in the control and add a backslash, it appears a drop-down list with the child elements, where you can select an offthem using the arrow keys and move forward with an another backslach to explore the next level.

Can you run the sample located in samples\userint\custctrl\pathctrl\simple.prj?

  • Compiled code in the source file was separated... when referencing a tat of VI entered a trajectory control

I have a feeling I know the answer.

I have an executable that takes a VI from trajectory control and the executable reads certain properties.  It crashes with this error.

    Some experience on the issue:

The executable waits on path control to change its value, then it reads the properties.  He's just fine.

Running the source code works very well.

The VI which is read has separate code.

So I think it's no different than calling a VI dynamically because it is the responsibility of the VI in memory to read its properties, and that cannot happen if the code is separate.  I guess you have to uncheck the option "Separately compiled Code."... "for every VI (Subvi) I loading and recompile all that and that should work?

    Thank you!

We will try to clarify something here.  You have an EXE file (running in the TEN) and is trying to call a VI that is not included in the EXE file and make everything with her?  If this is the case, while called VI does NOT have to be defined for separate update.  The reason being that the RTE does not any compilation.  So tried to do something for a VI with no compiled code is impossible.

In the development environment, the code compiled for VI should be in the cache of the object.  So the separate update is not serious.

  • can't see the front panel control

I took over a program written in LabVIEW 2013.

When I right click and select find control on a control path in the block diagram, the Panel is displayed, but I do not see the trajectory control.

Control is not * hidden, because the choice for the control to hide to the shortcut menu is available.

The façade is divided into two with a separator. -What is the cause?

EDIT: The control is in the left pane. Y at - it a trick to know is where is the control?

I guess that's outside the visible Panel. Maybe if you double-click on the terminal, the control is selected, and you can move with the arrows until you see.

  • Write to file path control

    Hi all.

I was wondering if it is possible to write to a file of trajectory control. Right now I use control path of file for selectable modules that is then written to a configuration file. From the beginning, I want the config read to write in the same path of file control. Instead, I have to read the configuration of a path of the file indicator file instead which is not ideal. Is it possible that I can write directly to the file control?

    Select this option.

Right-click the control on the front panel, then select Create the local Variable. Then, drag this variable in the same place you have the led terminals. This will write the value in the control.

You will hear many people say that you should avoid local variables (race conditions, hard to debug, etc.), but in this case, they are OK. I use all the time to initialize my UI to a config file.

P.S. Did you put more thought into rewriting the code?

  • Any advice on dialog control slow path?

    Hello

I have a trajectory control that gives me LV2010 and WinXP. My VI seems to work very well (it maintains entered analog, etc.) and the rest of the computer seems to work as well (can change windows, manipulate other applications, etc.), however the file dialog box seems to be very slow. It takes about 10 seconds for a click inside the dialog box and select a file. The control works (if I'm patient enough), but very slowly, as if the windows/computer is too busy to handle the file dialog box.

Any advice concerning the control of trajectory?

I think what he's referring to is that the loop can be run very fast and slow everything down. Try to put a 50mS delay in the loop and see what happens.

  • How do you dynamically change the enabled state of a control?

I build a VI whose purpose is to generate a digital signal, post it on a chart and eventually save the data in a file. I have a trajectory control and a checkbox included in my front panel. When the box is checked , I want the State of the path control to be activated. If the check box is disabled , I want the State of the control path for disabled & clothing. Is there a way to get there or even just make it look like this?

PS: I want also the checkbox for controlling whether or not the VI saves the data in a file, but I think I can understand the part.

Right-click on the control, and then choose create the property node.

    Select enabled

    Also write

Wire a constant (o on, off, 1 3 disabled and grayed out)

  • Drag and Drop secondary control path

In the attached .llb, there are two files, a master of VI with a secondary and a Subvi, which has control of trajectory:

    (picture attached)

Is anyone else difficult to slip and fall in this trajectory control? I'm sure it's a bug. If this isn't a bug, I'd love to hear the wisdom behind the 'feature '.

[this is where my post will be edited to understand the solution if found, or things that have been tried before. Misery loves company, but the success is a part]

    Search keywords:

control of path, pathcontrol, #path #control

    Secondary, sup, #subpanel

    Drag / move, drag_and_drop #drag_and_drop

Solved. The problem was not the operation drag / move, but secondary. See the code snippet.

  • PDF to Image file

    Hello

I would like to ask if it is possible to use LabVIEW to convert PDF files into image files? or more precisely, the PNG files.

Or are there resources/links that provides sufficient information on the PDF format so that you can use LabVIEW to make certain quantities and get a picture/photo card?

    Enjoy one advises.

Thank you for your kind attention.

    Rgds

Once, I posted a VI to create LaTeX commands PNG files I used Ghostscript to convert the EPS to png.  It turns out, with only a very slight modification the Subvi will also convert PDF to PNG.  Try this out.  You can install Ghostscript and then add the path to gswin32c.exe for trajectory control (if you install to the default location, you shouldn't have to change anything else than to the drive letter).

  • List version of LabVIEW VIs?

    Hello all,.

I have the unfortunate task of finding and saving many screws on a PC and the network and convert them all to 8.5.1.  Some are 8.6, some older versions.  It is very painful when I keep opening up a VI to see which version it is.  I want to bring together them and to work on a version at a time. Does anyone know how to list out a directory of the screws which includes its version number?

I tried to use the nodes property to a reference to 'own the application' (see photo), but it always returns the last version of LabVIEW (8.6), not the specific version in VI in trajectory control.  All ideas are welcome.

    Sorry NIquist,

It's a node to invoke the Application class, it's called 'Get the VI Version'.

  • Creation of example Labview Subvi

    Hello

I am using a Labview VI example as a Subvi in my projects. (Image/Vision/examples of treatment/Image Treshold.vi)

I've wired the trajectory control and displays two images to the terminals at the top right of VI.

Then, I created my main VI with a control path & two views of the image and add this example VI in my block diagram.

Trajectory control works properly but I do not see the images loaded into my main VI.

    What I'm missing here?

    Thanks in advance.

    Problem solved.

Just forgotten to remove IMAQ dispose screws

Thank you for your interest and sorry for taking your time.

  • How to generate random curves under image control?

    Hello

I'm still in the learning process LV my current objective is to have a circle drawn in the image optimization to move everything in the path of a curved line. The problem is that whenever I run the VI a new different trajectory is programatically created for my circle.

I don't know how to approach this problem.

A similar VI, I had the balls moving linearly, so I simply added a speed component to the component of the position of my balls. I initially use the same design here, but I can't devise a set of rules that would make the change in the result of the position on a trajectory of curved line. I think that generate a picture of the whole trajectory before each execution would probably work here, but I can't think a function do it either. Play with basic trig led sinusiodal or curved trajectory, but nothing really random out of period and amplitude.

Ideally, I want as much possible variance in the path (ex: a function that could give me S, U-shaped, in the shape of spiral, loop, etc.) while maintaining control of certain parameters (length, position, max dX, etc..)

    Someone has an idea?

    Thank you!

Looks like a random Walker.  One that I just did.  At each time point (0.1 seconds in this example), he took of the unit step in one direction, with the changing direction by a random amount within an angular range.  It can get pretty wild...

  • Scripting: Can drop us a control of the money?

It is possible to drop a new money controls uses VI Scripting?

The ID of the Style of a classic Cluster is 3400 and a modern Cluster is 21607, but when I read the property ID of Style of a cluster of disengaged manually money I see 21607.

I also try to find the ID of Style that will drop a Silver LED boolean.

In my view, that money controls are actually .ctl files which you can drop by plugging the trajectory desired function of new object VI.  If you want to find the location (probably inside the vi.lib), you can change all of the Palette, go to the item you want and right-click to display the path to the element from the Palette.

  • Active control of vibration of the flexible mono-faisceau

Hi, im working on the active control of vibration of the unique flexible built-in beam, and I need to design that helps me control the beam active & passive.

two experiences of control a robot with unique flexible bond. The link is operated in bending by two piezoelectric glued to the surface, and the local curvature is measured by piezoelectric sensors, forming a pair of sensors/actuators colocated. In both experiments, the articulation describes the same polynomial trajectory that excites the Eigen modes of vibration of the binding. In the first experiment anti-vibration with piezoelectric actuators are off, and we can observe a very long time to maneuver as link oscillations themselves naturally. In the second experiment anti-vibration are lit, and a significant reduction in the time settling is reached

    Cabo,

So, it looks like part of what you are trying to do is the generation control system a PID in LabVIEW. Fortunately, LabVIEW includes a number of useful resources for the PID:

Here is one of our books (with the tutorial files) whites, discussing implementations in LabVIEW PID: http://www.ni.com/white-paper/6440/en/

Here is another tutorial on implementing PID using the PID.vi: http://www.ni.com/pdf/labview/us/implement-a-pid-control-system.pdf

Here is the help documentation for PID.vi himself: http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361L-01/lvpid/pid_vi/

Finally, example finder LabVIEW has a large number of projects example PID you can experiment with. Just go to help > find examples, then find "PID" and select any project matches your planned the best implementation.

  • Why have I not the handles of direction on all the keyframes of my trajectory?

I created a path with a certain number of keyframes inside. The first pictures a few keys have direction handles bit, and I can apply curves to the motion...

    ... but...

.. .to a certain point in the trajectory of the direction handles are no longer available for the keyframes.

How can I get the handles of direction on all the keyframes so that I can do the rest of the path "curvy"?

In case it is important, all keyframes on the position line look like the little diamond.

    Thanks for your help.

    Dear Joe Strummer:

The reason why some of your key frames do not have the space handles is because their spatial interpolation is set to linear. If you select the convert vertex tool and click a keyframe chemical, it will become autobezier and from there you can adjust the control points yourself.

I think a visit to the section of image interpolation in EI help key would better explain this:
