  Go read the information, click on the 'Options' tab, then change the drop-down list of "sort of media" to "Music" to "Audiobook". That worked for me, I hope that it helps you also.

  Project Final Cut Express (.fcp) files cannot be opened in iMovie. If you have media files from these projects you can import it into iMovie to use in an iMovie project. They should be on your drive to work in folders named for the project. Not sure what you mean when you refer to the cards.

  Furthermore, I would be happy if I could avoid writing the image as a file and then re - import. (Eventually, I need a memory stream that contains the file).

  OK, I've resolved now completely: I used the ReadBytes command and used 512000 as length.  The other positive thing is now that I already have a byte array which I can put in a Memorystream directly. So, I don't need to save the photo somewhere locally.
