  • How can I transfer files between different users on the same computer

I set myself upward under a different name on my laptop father but necessary for the transfer of files from the original user (IE my father'd Office) to my new! How can I do this?

The following instructions assume that you want to have two users on the computer and you do not want to move some files from one user to another user.  If this isn't the case, skip the following and post a reply.

If the above assumption is correct, log in with administrator privileges or the user who currently owns the files and click Start > computer (in the list of the menu Start right under Documents, photos, etc.) and in the computer, double-click the drive where the files are located and then double-click on the 'Users' folder and double-click with the record of the original user and work your way to the files you want to move.  Leave this window open (and possibly drag it to the right of your screen until the mouse touches the edge and it automatically resizes to fit the right of your screen or you can resize it manually).  Then repeat the same instructions (start > computer, etc.) but the second time, when you open the 'Users' folder, navigate to the new user.  The two windows open you can now drag files from one window to the other.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones to transfer files between the desktop and Blackberry

I'm new to Blackberry and do research on how to transfer files Notepad or Wordpad from my office to the Blackberry.

I am an old user of Palm, and there is a built-in function of memos of synchronization between the desktop and the handheld device.

I'm not necessarily looking for to be able to automatically synchronize these memos.  Just having the ability to transfer them back and forth between the office and the Blackberry when there are updates.

To my office, I use Outlook (with a FranklinCovey component software plug-in called PlanPlus for Outlook) on Windows XP Professional, sync to a Blackberry Curve.

    Thank you.

  • How to transfer files from a user account to a different account on windows 7?

I use windows 7, both of my user accounts are administrator accounts.
How do I move my files from one account to the other?

    Thank you.

    Hello

An ADMINISTRATOR account can access all folders and files on the computer.

Use start - computer or Windows Explorer to navigate to C:\Users account you
want-click right on the folders (or files) and COPY - go to another account
and PASTE it where you want. Repeat if necessary. Do not delete the folders and
files from the account, they are forward to be sure they are duplicated when you need
    them.

    I hope this helps.

How can I transfer all of the music files to another user account

In simple terms, simply copy it to an external drive and then copy them back as the other user.  If files are protected by DRM (Digital Rights Management) as iTunes from Apple or Napster, you will need to know your service music, if the files can be copied.

  • Transfer files to the new user account [was: new user]

We went from Windows XP forum>

How to transfer files from the current user to a user name

Is that what you really want to do and why?

In particular, you want to create a user account completely new to replace an old account may be corrupt, or you want to just copy some files?

If you want to copy the user profile, see http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/fix-corrupted-user-profile#1TC=windows-7

If you just want to copy files from the ALICE user to user BOB,

    1. Connect you as a user with "Computer administrator" privileges (this could be ALICE, BOB or another account)
    2. Go to C:\Users\Alice\Documents, right click on desired folders or files and select copy
    3. Go to C:\Users\Bob\Documents and paste files or folders you copies

Always use 'Copy' rather than 'move '.  After you have determined that the files were copied successfully to their new location, you can go back and delete them from the old location.

For other than documents files, replace

    C:\Users\\Music

    C:\Users\\Pictures

    C:\Users\\Videos

    etc.
