transfer network for printing USB, mac to HP2300

my HP 2300 printer worked fine with a network connection.  but I am now off-grid and want to use a socket connection direct usb to print.  I tried to reinstall the printer driver.  my desktop mac computer using OS 10.8.5.  According to HP support, the software is supposed to be automatically available on mac.  but when I try to add the printer in the menu, I get an error message: "cannot install...". because HP 2300 is not currently available on the software update server. "Any suggestions?

Hello

Restart your Mac, then try to add the printer again.

If it persists, try to install any available updates by clicking on the icon Apple > software update, and then try to add the printer again.

If there is no change, download and install the following package and then try to re-add the printer:

Please let me know of any problems,

You may consider setting up to use a time based on check-in.  In order to keep the size of 1 G, but the archive size is just what data is there when the archive is created.  It's much smaller than I'm used to it, so apologies for that.  See the init parameter archive_lag_target.  There are, of course, to many ways to set up DG.

ALS is a document that defines (among other things) the speed at which you can recover.  15 or 20 minutes is often suggested for when companies are unable to arrive at a precise definition.   So every 15 minutes, the db spits out a newspaper, DG move more and the applied.  Some deliberately put places in a lag time too much, then you can "pull the plug" If you know someone has screwed up bigtime, without having to make a recovery.  You also must define exactly how you will apply newspapers (there are a number of options, make sure that you understand the concepts) and expectations for the digital switchover and how to deal with the app and substitution.

  • Connection PC Win7 for iMac USB printer

Until yesterday, I had a printer is connected (USB connection) to a Time Capsule, and our laptop Windows 7 given the printer and would print it. But due to persistent problems with airport part not always wanted to connect with our satellite internet, I went to a separate router and the stop of the part of the airport. The Mac has been able to print to the printer, but the Win7 PC could not. Then I moved the printer (USB connection) to the iMac, but I still can't the Win7 PC to see the printer. I tried several methods but were unsuccessful.

Anyone has a suggestion or a position that could help? I found a ticket to Microsoft I've tried, but it does not match what the current software. I use OS X 10.11.6.

I'm planning on dumping, in the future the Win7 system and buy a new Mac, but until now, I need help.

It will remain in this State indefinitely. When I try to use the HP utility, I get the following message: "HP ink jet is currently unavailable. The printer is powered on and connected. I can access the built-in Web server (which displays the status "Ready"), and the "Print and Fax" menu shows the printer as "Idle" with the green light.

How to use transfer windows for xp to xp.  When I plug usb computers are delivered to the top with the same screen and when I try to use the transfer to the new computer, it just said information gathering and sits for hours

    Hello, welcome.

The process is automatic and the maximum transfer rate should be about 20 GB/HR. If the process crashes during that long of a time, it's probably because of something internal rather something you're doing wrong.
For reference purposes, I included this link. It goes into the details of the migration from XP to Vista (and the basic steps you follow). The instructions are for migrating to Vista via the network, but you can easily follow the steps and choose a different option for your specific installation.
For both machines, I recommend you to prepare for the transfer using the following procedure:
    1. click on START > run
2 type "msconfig" (without the quotes) and press enter
    3. go to the "Startup" tab and uncheck all the entries displayed
    4. click on 'Apply' at the bottom right
DO NOT RESTART YOUR COMPUTER AGAIN
    5. click on START > run
    6. Type "cmd" (without the quotes). Right-click on the result at the top of the menu START and select 'run as administrator '.
    7. type chkdsk /r and press enter
8 allow the system to attempt disassembly of the volume
    9. allow the system to plan restarting
    10. restart your computer
11 let checkdisk analyze the file system on your hard drive
    12. Once completed, perform the same steps on the other machine
    13. Once completed, repeat the transfer

  • Printing from MAC for Deskjet 3050 ALL in one J611n - printer "Not connected" error message

    Good afternoon

I have problems printing my MAC Book Pro to the printer above.  I said that it is not connected and prints However, when I checked status it shws Networkas "Ready" and the connection as "active"? He doesn't seem to know if it is or isn't?

I had this problem before on occasions, but now it is a permanent one after upgrading my operating system to 'Maverick '. Now, I have what you call love at first sight bridge on my MAC and don't know what it is for! This has something to do with it? Love at first sight does not appear connected either?

It's a real pain and I think to get rid of my printer without wire-HELP!

In addition to the above, I noticed the following error message when I try to print:

    Device status: unknown

    I.D. service: unknown

    I.W Version: unknown

    Serial number: unknown

Driver version: 2.3.1 HP inkjet driver (why this displays when it's a Deskjet 3050 J611n?)

    Product number: unknown

    I.K no 658

Watch the device Staus and office as "Unknown".

3rd update me! In the HP utility is see two printers?  The other has all the full details above with serial numbers and all the info. Watch Staus 'idle' and our 'good '.

    Tracy

I see that I had 20 veiws and no answer!

I am new to Mac and not very techno, however I seem to have solved this problem myself.

I think that after turning to 'Maverick' on my Mac OS Lion, duplicate the printer as 2 showed in 'utility '.

"I basically deleted that was not'online ' or 'connected '.

    Problem solved!

  • connection for printing from a computer wireless with a connection cable to the router usb printer?

Produst name: HP Officejet Pro L7555.

    Works with Windows 7.

A new router and the modem was installed when Comcast installed our wireless connection.  This of course did not work with the current setting of the printer.  The printer is connected via USB cable to the router.

Are you sure it's a USB and not an Ethernet cable?  I bet it's in the affirmative:

    1. disconnect the Ethernet cable.

    2. on the printer: Setup > network > default settings.

    3 reconnect the Ethernet.

Now, remove the printer in Control Panel > devices & printers, then add it again like this:

    1. make sure the printer is on and connected to your network. Verify that you can access the printer's internal web page by accessing its IP address before continuing. Get his IP address for a network Test printed on the front of the printer.
    2. click on > start > Control Panel > devices & Printers.
    3. click on add a printer
    4. Select local printer
    5. Select create a new port and select Standard TCP/IP Port, and click Next.
    6. under device type, select TCP/IP Device. Under the name of host or IP address, enter the IP address of the printer. Click Next.
    7. Select Hewlett-Packard in the list of manufacturers and select and select your printer model. Click Next.
If your printer model is not in the list, then select disk provided, browse the CD that came with your HP printer and select the first file begins with hp and ending with INF. click Open, then OK. Select your printer model. Click Next.
    8. If prompted, use the driver that is currently installed.
    9. He will ask the name of the printer - enter a new name or use the one existing. This will be the name of the printer that you select from other applications.
    10. we may ask you to share the printer. Choose No.
    11. the printing area of Test Page is displayed. Go ahead and print it out.
    12. click on finish.

I have windows7 (PC) am doing a job for a school project. I need to be able to transfer my work to a MAC at school. How can I make sure that it will work on MAC?

If these are Photoshop files, simply place them on a FAT or FAT32 to format USB key. The Mac and the PC can recognize the drive.

Make sure that your files have l'extension.jpg/.png/.psd and so on.

Photoshop Mac or PC can open files.

  • Slow transfer speed for USB 3.0 ports

I have a USB 3.0 Seagate external hard drive connected directly to one of the USB ports 3.0 at the back of the computer with the cable that came with the drive. Whenever I turn it on, I get the message "this device can perform faster - this USB mass storage device can transfer information faster if you connect it to a USB 3.0 Super speed.

I tested the speed of the hard drive and transferred on a file of 1.16 GB in 58 seconds of my drive "C".

I also transferred the same file in the same place, for comparison, on a hard drive 10 years from an old computer which is now in a closed Chamber. This hard drive is also plugged into a USB 3.0 at the back of the computer with a USB 2.0 cable and the files had 57 seconds to cross.

So that would mean that the Seagate drive does not work at the speed of USB 3.0.

Can you please advise me as to how I can get the right speed for my USB 3.0 ports?

    DesF,

You can check for a driver to chipset update for your system.

Please keep in mind that it is a rotating disc and data transfer speeds do not match the theoretical bus speed. Certainly not the often claimed "ten times faster than USB 2.0! In addition, there a 5900 RPM disk, so a little slower there also.

A tweak, you can try is to make sure that drive policy properties tab is set for best performance.
