Transform a group of Boolean controls in a ring menu?

Is there a way to transform Boolean controls into a cluster in the menu of the ring?  In other words 2 States by control Boolean times 3 controls to obtain 6 different options - assuming you have assigned individual values for each State!  What I try to do is loving the menus ring from a panel already having a number of Boolean switches.  Keep in mind that you can use menus ring to control business structures - "with several cases", but you can control only two cases, if you attach a Boolean control to one.   John

  • Cluster of Boolean controls does not expect update

    Hello

I'm confused about the following question: in the joint Test Cluster of Boolean controls Functionality.vi, I have a Boolean controls group, some disabled and grayed out, other permits. If I click on one of two Boolean controls permits, and then on the other hand, I want the Boolean selected first control to False. Update Cluster indicator shows the desired behavior. What confuses me, is that the new value does not update accordingly. When I clicked at least once on two Boolean values, the new value remains [TRUE, TRUE] at all times, and the structure of the event runs.

I have a work around, as shown in the Test Cluster of Boolean controls feature Workaround.vi, but it looks like 'Nice' no, because it's more complicated than necessary. Anyone know why the new value refreshes as expected? Please notify. Thank you.

    Best regards

    Peter

    Here is a simple solution.

Of course, you can use a container of radiobutton instead of a cluster for simpler code. Try it!

  • How can I trigger a Boolean control from a Boolean indicator?

    Hello

I want to trigger a Boolean control (like a button) to a true value as soon as my indicator (LED) Boolean Gets a value of true.

Can someone tell me how to do this?

You can use either a local variable or a value of property node to define a control value.

Right-click on the control and create/Local Variable or Create/property/value of the node. Change the property node or a variable to write mode by right clicking on it and selecting "modify to write." Local variables can default to write (do not remember) but I know that failure of nodes of property for the playback mode.

I prefer the nodes property simply because they have a mistake in and out, so I can control the flow.

[Edit:] Remember that you must pass instead of locking for the mechanical action. If you need a locking Boolean control and need programmatically set its value, then you need to reset the State after reading using either a local node or property.

  • initialize the Boolean control

In a large VI, I need to create a Subvi who chooses between 3 plans (existing Subvi is attached). The problem is whenever I have start the simulation of the chosen scheme of previous simulation is preserved. How do I initialize Boolean controls such as all plans are deselected at the beginning of the new simulation.

Even your "singleselect.vi" is a Subvi, as is apparent from the connectors assigned. Simple wire all false receipts when you call it. What do you call it?

Of you want to initialize the shift register is the Subvi flipflop? Use the primitive 'first call' and Boolean logic.

  • How to change two photo with Boolean control?

    Hello

I want to change one image with another photo or change the color of an image with a Boolean control. is this possible?

    How?

    Best regards.

In this case using a Pict control ring (from the palette of the ring & Enum) is probably the easyest way if you don't need to load images dynamically. To dynamically load, you can use a 2D (from the chart - controls palette) image control.

  • Confusing Boolean control

Basically, a Boolean control gives a result: true or false. So, what's the difference between 'Cancel' and 'stop', the two Boolean controls in the palette of the façade?

Mysteriously, I saw "off" in other programs. Where is he? It is equal to cancel or stop?

    Any answer will appreciated.

Forget the glyphs.  Right-click on the block diagram glyph and uncheck the choice "display as icon".  This will show a smaller terminal without the label in the centre.  Boolean no matter what you choose, all terminals are the same.  This will avoid confusion.

For this is to change the default action, click Tools - Options on the menu at the top bar.  In the window options, click the block category.  Uncheck the first box, Place Terminal façade in the form of icons.  Click OK.  Now when you create a control or indicator, the glyph will not be displayed, but will be the smallest terminal.

  • Disable/force Boolean controls

Suppose I have two Boolean controls A and B.

Now I would like to diseble control B and force it to false when A = true.

I know I can do it by changing properties (value and disable) B control via a "property node.

    Am I wrong?

Now, what happens if both controls are integrated in a cluster? I'm still able to disable one of them according to the value of the other?

    Hi tommpogg,

to solve this puzzle for everyone else: right-click the control on the front (!) and select "create-> property node.

  • LabVIEW 2012 has radio for Boolean control button by default

Using LabVIEW 2012 SP1 at a customer.  Whenever I create a Boolean control or indicator by right-clicking and selecting 'create', the annoying option button appears...  Yes... one in the picture below.  All I want is one of the lights (round or rectangular).

I know it takes a ridiculous affecting somewhere.  To save time, but especially of frustration, where hell can I change this setting?  I already looked at the Option settings but don't see anything.

    That's what I get:

This is the system default boolean for a reason any crazy.  I learned to curse under my breath and find the prices for the use of system controls.

Edit: change the style by default to say, modern or classic and it won't happen.  Unless you use the classes so what control you get when you create controls/indicators is a boring montage.

  • Creating a user prompt when a Boolean control is lached first but not will result in showing it to be lached.

    Greetings,

I need a Boolean control that will write the measured data in a text file while it is lached and do nothing while it is unlached (which is easy).  However, I also need to display a dialog box when it is lached first to invite the user to add to an existing file or create a new file.  How should not prompt the user to select new or add is lached.  It should reprompt only if the Boolean value was unlached and relached.

Any ideas?  I tried several different approaches, but everything I've done has not worked at all or will cause invites at lached.

I know it will be a record time difference and at least a boolean comparison, but I can't understand the arrangement.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi BB,

examined the functions of the Pt-Pt. You will find a ready-to-use VI to detect the edges of a Boolean signal!

Or use this Boolean math: RisingEdge = signal [n] AND NOT (signal [n - 1]). (Here you have the Boolean function has already been mentioned with a shift register...)

Everything you need to opens the dialog box for the rise of the Boolean signal edges...

  • Boolean control reset

    Hi all

Please take a look at my VI

what I get here is the following

I have four buttons. User can press one of these 4 buttons to start a routine pattern-block. what I did, is that when the user presses the botton, a string constant is compared to an existing string constants array and then executes the case of vaues. Now, what I'm having the problem is that I've changed the Boolean control "Switch When you press on", now when I press one botton I have to press it again before you press any botton (due to the action of mechinalcal, I chose).  How I can implent a condition that, when I press a botton the previous control resets its self... for example if I first press option 1, then when I press option 2 I donot have to press option 1 option 2. Pressing option 2 should automatically reset option 1.

I know that more easy way is to use a structure of the event... but the main thing I need is to know how to get the bottonto reset when you press another botton

    concerning

(Please ignore the above, they have no sense and just complicate matters).

You want features radio button , place so your four buttons inside a radio button control. That's all!

Here is a simple example, see if it makes sense.

(btw: your code is far too complicated for this simple task.) Structures of case one (or zero) should be sufficient. Any UI toplevel loop must also be a small wait)

  • ENUM Boolean control

You know how you can click inside the box of an ENUM, or use the scroll arrows to have the list of choices of the ENUM pop up? How can I do this using a different Boolean controls on the front panel. My client wants the user to click on a big blue arrow to the right of the ENUM and have the ENUM menu pop up so that the user can scroll down and take the article they want to activate the box structure. Or else I would be able to change the appearance of the up and down scroll arrows to look like the image that the client wants for the user labelled. Thank you!

Switching on the arrows of Labview for my own big blue works well for scrolling. Thank you so much.

With the help of one of my blue arrows to get the pop-up menu sounds a little more involved than I thought it would have to know the coordinates of the box of ENUM, but I'll try it if the customer is not happy to have just the blue arrows to scroll through the options menu ENUM. Thanks again.

  • Boolean controls on a Page in a tab control

    Hello everyone.

I have some problems with a tab control in a fairly complex program implemented by another (more experienced) developer. The basic configuration for this tab control has several tabs to control various aspects of a system (engine installation, video installation, settings, etc.). Go to a specific tab and pressing Ctrl-F8 displays a password prompt, which then displays the menu "Advanced". The Advanced menu is a hidden in the same tab control page. The Advanced menu contains several Boolean controls that allow access to the various advanced features (these pages are also hidden on the same tab control pages), however, none of the Boolean controls work. By clicking on the controls does not cause the button appears pressed, when you run the program as a compiled executable, or while on the face before of the VI in LabView. Hidden pages appear as dark gray. I confirmed that the same is true for all pages hidden in the tab control. I think my problem is with the LabView version that I use. The program is designed in 8.0, while I am currently using 8.2. I was not able to find any references to such a question between the versions, and I'm kinda at a loss on how to address them. Version 8.2 is the only version that I currently have access to, otherwise I would use version 8.0, to see if that corrects the problem.

Programs that have been previously compiled by the original designer do not work properly (hidden pages, when displayed, appear always dark gray), but even to compile the results of the source code unmodified in the same problems for me.

Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated. P.S. I would look at these problems with the original designer, but he's currently on vacation for a month and I want to get this resolved.

    version 8.2
