  I have to go to Germany to work in a few weeks. I have a Lenovo 3000 n500 laptop. Someone know if I need a power converter to run my laptop and charge the battery, or will I just need an adapter. I appreciate any help I can get. It is the first trip from New York to Europe and also my first laptop.

  I have a bunch of files that are located on a network computer that has a shared parent directory.  I need to create a shortcut to the .exe which are in each directory.  There are more than 1000 directories, so the creation of all the shortcuts by right-clicking on each one of them is out of the question.  Shortcuts created to point to the original files, even though I'm moving shortcuts to another system.  You should be able to run the exe file from the network share from any system on the network.  I use robocopy with like to copy the directory structure and all the files in each directory except the .exe due to their size.  I wish that the finished product to fit on a USB key so that I can plugin for any system and then run the program pointed to by the shortcut.  Basically, it will be a reference in offline mode that can be used on a system that is online.

• Helix pen not to travel through the entire screen

  Recently got my Helix, and I love it. Have encountered a serious problem, however. Often when I remove the stylus, his range of motion is limited to a small square in the nearest corner of the silo of pen. I can move the slider of the pen in this little place, but the system won't let me move it outside those invisible boundaries. Reboot fixed it until the next time I draw from the pen of its silo.

Is there progress on a fix? It will be difficult to justify keeping this machine if I need to reboot to use the stylus.

  Yes, the Wacom driver has problems with booting with the stylus to the tablet.  Which disables the pen tablet system.  You can uninstall the wacom drivers or make sure that the pen is removed when the system is restarted.  It should continue to work the Tablet talk before removing the pen.

  You will not be able to get the iMessages as when you put in the new SIM card, your iPhone to record with a new number. You can add e-mail addresses to your address list under which you are reachable, then iMessages sent one of these e-mail addresses.

  I happens in Vancouver in a few days and roamed in Banff, Jasper and probably Calgary, then probably South in parts of the North of the United States, possibly including Montana and Oregon before returning to Vancouver.

  In addition to beautiful landscapes, I'm hoping to pick up an iPhone 7along the way, as it will be much cheaper than the House, especially if I can minimize or even avoid any sales tax. I'm not very anxious to get and obviously it is not a value to travel through several States to save a few dollars in tax, but if one of the points on my route will be significantly cheaper than others, so I would like to take advantage of this.

  So, a few questions:

  1. as far as I know, no iPhones purchased in an Apple store in the United States or the Canada work at home in Australia with my SIM House? That is to say that they are not locked or have any other question bother me?

  2. my understanding is that places likely to be on my itinerary, Oregon and Montana have the sales tax down it is to say 0%. I'm more likely to go to Montana as Oregon, but apparently there is no Apple store in Montana? What would be good stores of spare for your purchase of an iPhone unlocked without any subscription network etc in Montana?

  3. as I do a bit of travel, I think to make one of the CDMA models capable, just to have that little bit more flexibility. However, I am currently using a t-mobile sim in my Australian bought iPhone while traveling in North America. It will cause additional problems if I try to use the sim card from t-mobile in the new cdma phone, either while here, and when I come back home?   The only difference between the models 'CDMA' and all the rest is that CDMA parts have been active and registered with a particular carrier which still has a legacy CDMA network. In the United States, is Sprint and Verizon.Those phones work on LTE and GSM networks as well.  Phones for sale of various carriers may also have different bands LTE. Phones for sale on the Verizon network are unlocked.

  However, it is particularly unwise to buy a phone outside your country of residence. The warranty on a phone bought in the United States would be valid only in the United States expected your phone needs maintenance, you would need to return to the United States or to ship the phone to a friend or relative who can fit in an Apple Store.

  Put Verizon SIM somewhere safe (I mine band inside the cover of my passport).

  Many BlackBerrys come with different plug adapters. If you don't have that, you need transformer for your listing of American style, or get a plug of charger of European style.

  In Spain, I'm going to be in the United States for a while and then travelling from Europe to the USA a few months. I would buy a T400 with display LED WXGA +, webcam, ATI 3470 and PCMCIA slot.   4 - anyone know what LED WXGA + and the camera will be available again (it's in the shop online UK now)?

  Someone suggested that the 2764 is not guaranteed in Europe to avoid buying from Europe, but which has no sense for me because there are other models in the webshop with warranty in Europe (such as the R400).

• Satellite T130 - Toshiba create USB recovery

  Hello.

  This is the situation:

  I have laptop Toshiba T130 with no DVD player. After installing Win7, I shrunk the partition D tool in Win7 and used the free space to install Linux with GRUB. Then I shrunk the partition also C by Win7 tool and free space to create another. This however told me something about the dynamic disk or something...

  But he has somehow broken GRUB so I decided to reinstall Linux. But the scores have been somehow broken, but I installed Linux on the last partition. Since then I could not start Windows or repair because partition D has actually been removed!
  The C with Win7 partition seemed intact.

  Trying to fix the computer and try to start trouble, I got error 0 x 090 or something with partition table error. So therefore, I deliberately decided to create the new partition with Gparted that off my HARD drive. Then I put in place the new partitions: 3 x NTFS, (400 MB recovery, partition Win7 and another) + extended partition containing the NTFS partition + ext4 partition, swap.

  Then I copied the hidden files (that I had saved earlier) in a hidden partition on the HDD laptop + I copied folder of Toshiba 3rd NTFS partition recovery (I had backed up the files immediately after obtaining of the laptop).

  Now, I'm stuck with 0xc000000e error when you try to start. I also followed this thread: http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=53952&tstart=15

  Can you help me with Win7 Starter? And what program to use to make Win7 64 bit USB bootable recovery CD? I tried unetbootin and USB, but they did not...

  Any advice will be highly appreciated.

  The entire structure of the HARD disk is now screwed upward. I m just wondering why you did that on this small Satellite T130.
  I mean it's OK all what are you do and you can do what you want with your machine, but my personal opinion is you're wrong for laptop for all of this.

  Satellite T130 is small ultra portable laptop designed to offer the maximum of mobility and offer long battery life, when you are out of office or travel through. So I think that the most important thing for this laptop is well installed and configured the operating system that runs stabile and with the minimum of consumption of energy. This laptop doesn t have the optical disk drive and the overall situation is more complicated if the factory settings are changed.

  You now have on the HARD drive is nothing but the jungle and to me, it seems pretty confusing.
  If you checked s user manuals document you can find the exact explanation, what can be done with the recovery image saved on the second partition and what type of recovery media can be created.

  Recovery image is not designed for use with third-party applications part so it can be problematic to create USB recovery drive.
  Thread you link posted is better thread on this topic and if this will not help I really don't know what you can, except for ordering original Toshiba recovery DVD and make the installation of OS to get the factory settings again.

  Take precautions extreme when purchasing WATER Toshiba laptops or any other place. Because if you the area to buy it for use in countries such as India (with an international warranty), I want to say, you could be in trouble. I'm fed up with their service in India (1800-118674).
  I bought a Toshiba A300 laptop computer series (with Windows Vista Home Pemium pre-installed for DHS 4499) hoping that I would get a free update for Windows7, as says global website of Toshiba. But, to my surprise when I tried to sign up for the free update I received a menu to pay another $39,90.

  But it does not stop the question. I am currently in India and only Toshiba service centers are currently is in Bangalore and Chennai, which is 600 kilometers that I stayed. And you must register the customer first and then with in 3 days you must declare the laptop or you need to re - register, for them to take care of your laptop.
  More than what they have customer care people would nt say you nothing more where are service centers. (I had a question regarding the upgrade of windows 7, and they said something like...) "WE CANNOT TELL YOU WHAT ANYONE ON THIS..." GO TO THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES... YOU WILL GET THE HELP... IS THAT CLEAR?... IS THERE ANYTHING YOU WANT TO KNOW... "It was more than enough for me... So I said thank YOU.)

  In any CASE someone here please help me in this regard. I just wanted to know this. I have a Toshiba laptop and that has 4 GB of pre-installed RAM. And Toshiba gave me a 32 bit OS (which has a maximum physical memory addressing limit of about 3 GB). So needless to say that the remaining GB 1 is get wasted. So I would switch to Windows7. But I would like to know if I can get a 64 bit OS. Because if one 32-bit again, the remaining memory is always going to be used. I better go for Linux OS with a capacity of 64-bit rather than an upgrade of Windows7 (32 bit).

  Note: Users take care that Toshiba doesn't have a free update for all series of portable computers that have Windows Vista Home Premium or above preinstalled. Also check the availability of the service centres in your country.

  I'm sorry, you are not satisfied with the service of Toshiba, but after reading your ad I want to write my comment to all this.

  As a first step, you mentioned having trouble with international warranty. I put t know why you wrote this. As I see that you didn t sent your laptop for repair. My laptop last year died when I was on vacation and the local service provider has repaired my laptop without asking questions. After recording short Toshiba database they ordered parts and after 5 days, I got my laptop. So if someone is often travel through the international interest should be extended.

  When you order the upgrade, you must pay for the shipping and handling and I assume that Toshiba will cover only these costs.
  If you check other manufacturers of portable you will never find completely free service. Have you ever something Microsoft for free?

  One last and very important thing: for a long time I didn't know that Toshiba is a global company of work but in several independent companies based on sectors of the market. So here, in Europe, you have Toshiba EMEA (Europe-Middle East-Africa), Toshiba U.S., Toshiba Australia and New Zealand and probably in Asia from Toshiba. Each of them supports the clean area only.

  So if you buy portable UAE UNITED belonging to Toshiba EMEA I can imagine that Toshiba India (Toshiba Asia) cannot answer some questions about upgrade program for the EMEA region.

  In the end, I must say that everything is not as bad as you think. ;)
