Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security won't install on Windows 7
I bought a three user anti-virus (Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security) that will not install on Windows 7. When I insert the CD it reads and seems to do something in the background, but there are has no windows that pop - up. Also when I look in the Task Manager, I find no trend activity there.
The version is a version licensed for 12 months I purchased with a new PC. He said only Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security on the cover.
If you have any other scanners 'real-time' installed (including MSE) it may be useful to backup your PC (so in the worst case you can go to at the moment), update scanners already have installed and then run a full scan with them to check the malware.
Then completely uninstall, restart the PC and then see if the trend settled.
See - http://support.antivirus.co.uk/trendmicro/kbresolution.jsp?hmid=52385&serviceId=31&applicationId=196 which States " ""with more security software or their components installed on your computer can cause performance problems. The programs in this conflict peut with your program of Trend Micro Titanium, are listed. "You must remove these of security software before installing Titanium: '
I didn't trend and have never tested, so I can't say with certainty that their list of possibly conflicting software is preventing you installation trend, but it shouldn't take too long to remove all other scanners time real AV/Malware in article of trend and see. If the worst comes to the worst, you can always reinstall.
You must have an AV program installed and running on a PC. On-Demand Scanner like free Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is OK as backup on demand scanners. (if you install this edition special anti malware utility, keep free, no need to start testing etc UNLESS you wish to purchase additional features the paid for version does not provide).

I installed Trend Micro Titanium Maximum Security 2011. I restarted the laptop, there is an error message:
"Visual C++ runtime error.
The Application requested execution to terminate in an unusual way.
Laptop would be hanging there & not procceed further. I had to restore to the already known good restore point. I've experienced & concluded that Trend Micro creates a problem.
A fix for this problem?
Vishal
This can happen when a previous antivirus product was not completely removed. Use the cleaning of the previous antivirus tool.

I have Windows XP SP3 installed on my laptop. Have tried to install Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security again with installation is not due to an error. The error code is 0, 1004, 0 x 000, which refers to Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable. Trend Micro recommendation is to remove Visual C++ via Add/Remove Programs, but when I try to do it won't allow me because "the source disk is not available. I guess the thinking is that the Visual C++ file is corrupted somehow and needs to be reinstalled, but if I can't get rid of the old, used to install a new. Help! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What is this interfer update with my Trend Micro Titanium security?
I have Trend Micro Titanium Maximum installed to protect my computer. I don't want to update Firefox with something that will compromise that. Thank you, Mark
If TM Titanium has installed in Firefox toolbars that you use / depend on, you can check with their website or the forum. Only the toolbar and toolbar of operation, if any, will be affected; the underlying protection offered by TM titanium should always protect you.
On the TM forums, I can only find promises that an update makes it compatible with Firefox 8 will come out soon:

8 Internet Explorer cannot be installed on windows update
I noticed that Internet Explorer 8 could not install when I looked at the history of the update. Would be - this is why I get when im even not visiting all web pages, internet script errors?
And also since it does not install properly or not at all, how can I install internet explorer 8 for windows vista? Is there a way to always install it on windows update?my firewall and anti-virus applications are all part of the Fairpoint security suite.
Well, I must tell you that FairPoint Security Suite of Radialpoint is among the worst & most annoying there internet security suites. What security application internet suite or the antivirus has been installed before you installed FairPoint Security Suite earlier this year?
The foregoing despite...

My personal recommendations include:
-Online install IE8 manually, not through Windows Update/automatic updates! -Online http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/worldwide-sites.aspx
-Online save the installer to your desktop, do not run it. When you are ready to install IE8, right click on the saved file and select 'run as administrator '.
-Online uninstall all third-party toolbars (e.g., Google;) Yahoo; Windows Live) and a third of the Windows themes before installing IE8.
-Online close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon of the taskbar) before installing or uninstalling IE8.
=> I highly recommend disable your antivirus and anti-spyware "protection system" application (with the exception of the Defender) before you install (or uninstall) an update of IE. If you use a third party firewall [and you are], I recommend neutralizing him and then activation of the front Windows Firewall install (or uninstall) an update of IE.
-Online restart twice after installing or uninstalling IE8, then check-in to Windows Update and install the critical updates of security offered.
=> For the best chance of success with IE8, make sure that your version of the Kaspersky Anti-virus application, all anti-spyware applications (other than the Defender) and your third-party firewall (if any) are supported in IE8 before decide you to install it.

Update of security (KB2686509) cannot install in Windows XP
Original title: at least twice, the KB2686509 security update failed to install correctly (Windows XP). While 18 other downloads installed correctly. What is the cause of the failure of this specific download?
With the help of AT & T U-Verse DSL. Try to re - install all of the software on a disc hard 'clean' (Seagate Barracuda). Much XP downloads succeeded - why I'm having a problem with KB2686509?
Hello
Do you get any error messages?
Method 1: Try to reset the Windows update components and check if the problem persists
See the following site:
How to reset the Windows Update components?
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058.
Warning: this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

Method 2:
If the problem persists, then try to put your computer in a clean boot state , and then try to install the updates.
Your boot system setting minimum state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows XP:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353
Note: After the boot minimum troubleshooting step, follow the steps to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state in the link provided to restore your computer to a Normal startup mode.

antivirus protection is not its status as windows, the format that is no longer supported Security Center. Use the programs updateing feature, or contact the manufacture of the program for an updated version. Comment: this program automatically update every day this format should work and have used it for three years without any problem...
