Trial options for Windows?

I'm looking to build a pc as a side project that I'll probably sell it after the fact. I was wondering if there was a windows version that can be installed for a trial of only 30 days so that I can test the PC and then when someone buys it prompts you to buy a full license after the period.

I see a lot of workstations sold with 30-day trial of windows 7. Not sure if there are legitimate or not.

I wish I could sell the computer with a trial version of windows on that the user must activate later if they choose to keep the windows.

Any info is appreciated.

I would use the techbench URL, because it lets you choose which version (home, pro, etc.)

  • Best option for Windows 7 64 bit Sync?

IRDA-USB, USB-Bluetooth or WiFi adapter USB adapter adapter.

We don't have currently no WiFi in our home and I don't have a phone on my Treo 650.

Would be an adapter like this work ( http://www.amazon.com/IOGear-Wireless-G-Speed-Adapter-GWU523/dp/B0009JR3SE ) to do a sync WiFi? Note that I don't have a phone on the Treo.

    Recommendations on brands/models of adapters?

    Thanks for any help.

    IN SUMMARY:

    (I have a treo 650)

1 palm desktop 6.2 and quicktime installed on Windows Virtual PC: Windows XP mode in Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.  It worked well. Open the virtual XP mode (it's like a remote desktop window), then press "USB": fix the device at the top of the screen to each time after hitting the hotsync button. I was not able to find a file of commands saved in this mode structure, sort of backup with his computer backups is not feasible. You can also drag-and - drop from Windows 7 windows (for example to drag media since picasa, etc.). Also, this software is not available for Windows 7 family (must be Pro or better).

    2. Bluetooth (IOGEAR GBU421) adapter. Windows immediately recognized the adapter... I didn't install anything other than the Palm Desktop software. Had to tell the bluetooth computer let be detectable. Otherwise, it is a breeze to Setup. Really, really, really slow on the transfer of the media but not really noticeable on the normal synchronization.

For now, I decided to go with the bluetooth method.

  • HP Pavilion takes now several trials start for Windows XP

I have a Pavilion model "a1530n," that is running Windows XP.

From a few weeks ago, he stopped at XP startup on the first try. He hit the start menu, and then goes to a black screen. So, I have to turn it off and then on again manually. He then asks me to choose whether or not I want to go to safemode (etc.), then usually goes to XP. Sometimes it takes a third test.

I spent weeks researching this. I tried to correct the various files in the registry, updated the BIOS, cleaning the dust inside, disconnect the battery and disconnect the card reader reconnect it (a ' hard reset'). Nothing has made any difference.

The only weird thing I've noticed, is that this problem only occurs when the computer is turned off for more than three hours.

It will not occur if I do a reboot or shut down/turn less than an hour. Makes me think it might be a hardware problem. For what it's worth, the fan was caked with dust when I opened it upward and before all this started, the fan was a high pitched whirring noise, which she continued to do.

There are no other problems with this computer - no gel, crashes, viruses, loss of memory, etc.. Any help would be appreciated! I searched this forum and the Web and can not find someone else with this problem.

I've heard of this and actually had a computer do exactly what you described.  It is attributed to the old age of the components.  It could be that several components suspects but especially probably the motherboard.  Google has no capacitors on motherboards to computer and you'll see the symptoms described, very similar to this post.  If you are the DO-IT-YOURSELF type of person, look for bulging capacitors or corrosion on the capacitors.  It can be fixed, but it is usually easier to replace the motherboard.

BTW: the symptom 'not starting for the first two times' finally will get worse and it can be cured with the software.

  • Have to RMA my drive hard current (customized computer). Options for windows on the new drive?

Hi everyone, I have my hard Western Digital RMA drive due to non repairable bad sectors. I currently have a version of windows upgrade 7 (I'm sure that my parents lost the activation key for > _ >) installed on the hard disk. Is it possible for me to transfer this Windows 7 nine hard disk? Or if I can't find the activation key to upgrade of version, can I install the previous version of windows 7 that I used before the upgrade, because I actually still have the product key for this copy. I wanted to understand this first before you begin the RMA process so I'm not stuck without an operating system once the replacement drive arrives. Thank you!

If you do not have a license, you will need to buy a new one.

If the license you say that you have is a retail license and did not come preinstalled on a computer or is not a version upgrade, you can use it. They must be of the same edition.

You may need to try using the recovery partition or borrow Windows 7 reinstall media or ask ASUS recovery media:

    Try running the recovery partition:

New computers that come pre-installed with Windows often have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

If your recovery partition is not available or damaged, you must contact the manufacturer of your computer, and request that a defined recovery disk you can use to reinstall Windows 7. They could practice a small shipping and handling.

    ------------------------------------

This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...

For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.

If you know a friend with a disc of Windows 7 at retail, you could borrow them and perform a custom installation:

  • Buy a product ID for Windows 7 Ultimate x32bit

I bought a new laptop with Windows 7 Ultimate already installed on it.

I am now trying to install Windows 10 but tells me that the key I is not valid.

My question is how can I buy or at least to get a valid key ID?

If its a new laptop, he could have been dismissed with a genuine copy of Windows.

A certificate of authenticity which indicates the version and edition of Windows, the laptop was initially allowed to verify at the bottom of the laptop or in the battery compartment.

If it is a version of Windows 7 or Windows 8, you can simply reinstall the appropriate version / edition, reactivate and perform the update free.

I have the key for Windows 7 Home premium that came preinstalled on my laptop. Due to software problem I want to fresh install on my laptop. Now, I don't have a installation disc. I need installation CD no SP 1 or so?

Configuration of the laptop: HP pavilion dv4-2103tu

    Please help me.

What is the difference, if it has Service Pack 1? In fact, you must agree with SP1 from RTM images are no longer supported.

For 5 years, Microsoft made it fairly easy for users of the Windows 7 operating system to get reinstall media. If you have lost your support disc or installation retail collection; either it has been damaged or defective; You can download a copy of the edition that you have licensed from a membership site called Digital River. More recently, Microsoft ended the availability to reinstall media that you can download as a. File ISO in Digital River, which is a digital reproduction of an optical disc.

It was particularly convenient for people who could not easily get the manufacturer's recovery media, did not want to pay the fees required to get or preferred a clean configuration without the software packaged manufacturers or even a recovery partition does not work. It's easy to use, all you had to do was reinstall and reactivate using the product key located on the certificate of authenticity and download all the drivers on the manufacturers website.

Given that this option is no longer available, what are your options? See the article for more details:

  • What makes a projector to qualify as a network for Windows 7 projector?

    Hello

I am looking to buy a projector wifi enabled to connect wireless to my PC to Windows 7 Desktop, this one for example.

Windows 7 has a wizard called "connect to a network projector. Exactly what does a projector to qualify as a network for Windows 7 projector? What kind of specification should I look for? With my computer and the projector in my home network would be sufficient?

All other pointers to make a connection without wire of any kind are welcome. I already looked in Miracast and Intel WiDi and do not think that my PC meets the hardware requirements.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    • Have you contacted the manufacturer of the projector for the best option for Windows 7?

Ideally, projector manufacturers will be able to answer this question on Wi - Fi enabled projector that will be connected wirelessly with Windows 7. Therefore, I would ask you to please contact the manufacturer of the projector.

Microsoft had really comfort in mind when it added such a simple method to display the content on a projector. Once connected to a projector, simply press the Windows key + P to select one of four connection options.

Connect a projector to a Windows 7 computer is fairly simple once you know how. With the help of the four options, you can configure a custom view that meets your personal needs.

I would ask to refer to the article below for more information.
