Firefox has been great to work on my computer for months and then suddenly he could not load pages. So, naturally, I restarted my computer, but when it restarted Firefox does not open. The icon lights for a bit as usual, then it fades and never actually opens. When I try to use the "run" command, I get this error:
"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\ refers to a location that is unavailable. It could be on a hard drive on this computer or on a network. Make sure that the disc is inserted correctly, or that you are connected to the Internet or your network, and then try again. If it can't be located, the information may have been moved to another location. »
I also tried the same thing for the file in the x 86 folder, but it gave the same error and I went and looked for the files in the given location and they were there.
Firefox is not to fall down, so he isn't there an other error message, I can give you.
The things that I had my favorites are really important, I can not lose those, but I am fine with anything else have to re-installed, etc..
Help please?I've never tried it myself, but the forum has a series of measures for a "clean reinstall" Firefox. Even if you do not delete the record of your personal settings (AKA profile) during this process, a backup of this folder is always a good idea in case something goes wrong.

Firefox does not open a new tab page, when I click on the small + firefox does not respanw, but if I use right mouse botton -> tab double as it opens a new tab how can I solve this?
Uninstall the toolbar Ask and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask and Firefox toolbar that prevents the opening of new tabs.
There are a few places to check for the Ask toolbar:
- Check the control panel Windows for the Ask Toolbar - http://about.ask.com/apn/toolbar/docs/default/faq/en/ff/index.html#na4
- Also check your list of extensions, you may be able to uninstall it from there - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Uninstalling+add-ons

Yesterday, Firefox does not open. It hangs at the "stage of connection." For hours. It doesn't even turn off using the Manager of tasks for applications or processes, and it hangs almost all other applications. I thought that I managed to save a Word document opened yesterday - it looked like a slow, but normal save during the shot of Firefox, but the document was empty when I restarted my computer.
Although my machine is not pentium 4 in service, I tried to start by using the configuration of Windows XP/M, I downloaded and re-installed (above) the existing version, I checked that no process of Mozilla turned before trying to start Mozilla and tried to create a new profile. Absolutely no success. Every time (dozens), I tried to start Firefox, I had to force a difficult to exit the application shutdown. I now have this marking Firefox in my taskbar, because I keep forgetting and hit by reflex.
I am running version 11.0 (at least that's what I just downloaded - I am not positive of what I was running yesterday). My system is Windows 7 Home Premium, Intel Core i3 2.4 gHz, 4 GB of RAM, 64 bit OS.
Next option is to restore to an earlier version. If this does not work, I uninstall and start again from scratch.
I disabled AVG (antivirus free 2012) for 10 minutes, open Firefox and browsed a bit. Close the browser, whereas the temporarily disabled AVG activated itself again and restarted Firefox. Now, it connects perfectly - several times faster than prior to this incident (I have installed v 12.0; previous version was 11.0). I use the Microsoft Firewall, if while the firewall solution suggested above has not worked, he put me on the right track.

Firefox does not open or does not (see/questions/964132)
was Ok until recently
Please include more information, such as your operating system (Windows?) and the version, more exactly what is happening when you try to start Firefox. The information provided in a recent Firefox crash report, if any, can also help. See Firefox plant - troubleshoot and prevent assistance fixing crashes under help in setting this crash and post any crash report IDs recently (they start with bp - )
The title of your question, says "Firefox does not open or does not (see/questions/964132)" I have reviewed this issue and it was launched by another user of Firefox. /questions/964132? page = 2 # 477049 answer has a number of suggestions if Firefox does not start. Which have you tried?
To see other possible solutions
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems in Firefox
- http://KB.mozillazine.org/Browser_will_not_start_up
- / issues/958850 Firefox does not open after a reboot
Note: A "clean and reinstall" was one of the suggestions/issues/964132. This means remove the Firefox application and then files by reinstalling Firefox since a new download, as explained at the stage of "Reinstall Firefox" in troubleshoot and diagnose problems in Firefox. So that allows you to start Firefox, but if the problem comes back after the computer restarts, you should make another "clean reinstall" and then resolve your plugins by disabling all, as suggested by the troubleshoot and diagnose problems of Firefox article.

I downloaded the update for 25.0.1 and he ran. Instead of restarting, I stop the laptop (Vista Home SP2, 64-bit).
When I started the laptop again, I tried to open Firefox, but Norton Internet Security leader Insight could not check the update as a reliable file and did not allow for Firefox open.
I tried to disable file Insight but got the same results.
I ran Live Update to update Norton Internet Security and then tried to open Firefox again.
This time this Norton Internet Security displays a message saying that updater.exe wasn't careful and eliminated.
When I try to open Firefox, Norton now detects Updater 25.0.0.5046, said he trusted, but Firefox does not open.
I want to save the history if possible.
How can I get Firefox to work with recorded history again?
Thank you!Hi iamjayakumars - I was not able to create a new profile, because the Profile Manager does not open. A message from Norton seems "Updater.exe is sure.", but nothing else would happen.
But - the links you sent were very helpful, and I was able to solve the problem by making a UN-installing and then re - install Firefox:
1. backup of the profile.
2. download the installer of Firefox from Mozilla.org with another browser.
3. un-install Firefox from the control panel (ensuring "Delete my personal Firefox and customizations data" was NOT selected.)
4 reinstall Firefox.
Firefox starts successfully with all my old settings and all the tabs I had open the last time it was used appeared as I had hoped.
Thanks a lot for your help! -
Firefox does not open, no matter how many times I click on it.
Firefox does not open. I tried troubleshooting, I tried right click and click on "Run As Administrator" and I tried to uninstall and reinstall. When I try to open it, it does not come to the top with error messages or anything. The loading icon appears and then disappears, without opening of firefox. Nothing I try Open firefox.
Trying to open Firefox in Mode safe mode does not work. From my laptop in safe mode with setting network opened firefox for a while, but then it stopped working again, and it turned off my wireless on my laptop card (that I put back on after some research). I killed firefox using the process in the Task Manager tab and uninstalled successfully. I'm put it back, now, I hope it works.
