  USB 3.0 port on the dock is not supported on the T420s, it is supported only on T430s and later versions.

• Problem with Latitude E7440, dock E-series & external monitors

  I just upgraded to a to an E7440 E6410. I have two Dell 2007FP monitors connected via DVI on a docking station E-series E-Port Plus. These monitors native resolution is 1600 x 1200 @ 60 Hz and my old E6410 was able to run this very well. The new E7440 refuses however to note that 1600 x 1200 is available and that there is an upper limit of 1280 x 1024 @ 60 and 75 Hz. The Intel graphics properties app shows 1600 x 1200 @ 60 Hz is a mode of the monitor support in the Information Center section, but it won't let me select it in the Display Options section.

  Anyone know if it is a fundamental limitation of the docking on the new connector 7000 series or if I just have something wrong set somewhere? All the drivers are up to date for what is the Dell support site is... The computer is running Windows 7 64 bit if that makes a difference.

  Sorry - should have come back earlier than my IT guy at work found the "fix." There is a updated driver that is for the E7440 but doesn't show up if you are looking for updates of E7440 (?). In any case, I had the drivers are required to:

  While the link is E5540 area, the driver is for the GPU Intel HD4400 located in the E7440 as well. This has fixed the problem on all the E7440s that we have here.

• Mini Dock more Series 3 - is - do I have to connect the dock and the laptop or just the dock?

  My laptop not charging when I plug the adapter to the back of the stand.

  When I'm on the dock with the adapter plugged into the laptop, if I hover over the Green battery in the system tray icon, it tells me that I should plug the dock:

  "Alternating current is detached from your docking station.  Good battery charging and docking station operation, connect the AC adapter to the docking station. »

  I'm not supposed to use two separate power adapters, am I? (One for the dock and one for the laptop)?

  you have that to plug in the dock, you don't need to be plugged into taking the laptop when you are connected.

  Remove the battery and anchor the laptop and press the button, does it start?

  So far, the only resolution that I am able to is 1280 x 800... instead of 2560 x 1600.

I am trying to expand the display of the T400 to the Acer monitor via a VGA cable. When I plug the monitor directly into the laptop, the screen extends. • ThinkPad W700 Mini Dock 2.0

  Hi all

  I just ordered a week ago a new Thinkpad W700 with W700 Mini Dock 1.0 (43R8782) and I always look forward to receive. Today I received an email from Lenovo telling me my order was changed and the Mini Dock was cancelled due to the EOL (End Of Line?).

  I went back to the Lenovo Web site and I found the same Mini Dock still listed and available for order. I also found a new Mini Dock 2.0 (57Y4345) for the same price, but the power 170W (41R4421) is not included. Food costs an additional $ 100. There is of course NO difference between the old model and the other beside the fact that food is not included more.

  Now, I understand Lenovo need to make money somewhere, but is not illegal to do something like that? I don't think that here in Quebec there is what is called a false statement or taking advantage of the customer? If the new docking station was much cheaper I would probably bite the bullet and just order it, but it's crazy.

  Am I the only one here who thinks that there is a problem with that? Especially since I already placed my order in good faith, and even when they say it is no longer available, it is still listed as available on the site? What can I do about it?

  The size of the internal battery is indifferent when the laptop on series 3 docking over the docks. I have a 9 cell with my X 230 X 220 and put them on the 3-series more anchor every day.
