  So... after I format and install new Vista Ultimate, I won't have... TOSHIBA original tools that came with the recovery DVD-ROM products, can I actually loose something with it, like... soft Web Cam help TOSHIBA TOSHIBA zooming Utility or or Protector Suite QL... and so on... I can go without it?

  Can I install or download just this sweet, once I installed Vista Ultimat, maybe product Recovery DVD - ROM, but how?

  Is it just the version of Windows Vista Home Premium that come
  with this product Recovery DVD-ROM or... all versions of Vista comes in this DVD, and you can choose which version you want to install?

  Well, on the page, you will find the common drivers and utilities you won't find 3rd party software characters, which is part of the image of Toshiba. These software are found only on the image of Toshiba (recovery CD).

  Why you want to be updated? You have problems?
  If everything works correctly I would not update anything!
  I read many comments here in the forum, and it seems that Toshiba recommends only a use own drivers.
  For me it of clear. If you use one another (not Toshiba) drivers and this driver does not damage anything on the card then you will lose the warranty.

  So be careful with 3rd party drivers.

  In general, yes you can use them. Problem is that these drivers are not supported and tested by Toshiba for you to use their own risk.
  To be honest in the past years I've heard different stories about this. Some people are happy with the best graphics performance.

  Some people are complaining on very strong and permanent machine running to cold air. Even after that initial installation of image recovery the situation is the same. I ve heard say that the values in the GPU BIOS will be changed and it is not possible to recover their origin and default settings.

  There are also reports on the switch OFF as a result overheating.

  I put t know what to say on this subject. I use my machine with the original drivers. I don t want to risk anything. Of course, with your machine, you can do what you want, then that's your decision.

  If you install them please be so kind and send us comments. It can be very useful for other owners of laptops.

  Dell Dimension 4700 infected with Trojan.Vundo file C:\\Windows\System32\opnlMfcD.dll.  I tried many things and it does not seem to come off.  Can anyone help?  It drives me crazy.

  I m not an expert but I'll try to offer my responses.

  1.
  As far as I know page of media you use is offered for the Middle East and Arica. I don't know where is the server placed but the download should not be problematic. In the past, I've used several times to check drivers and everything was OK. Perhaps there is a problem with your Internet connection.
  Toshiba support and download page is certainly not limited and can be used whenever you want.

  2.
  I ve checked the download page and found 33 results for Win7 64 bit so I assume you want to install this version of Windows.
  In any case all the stuff listed are not just pilots, but also specific tools useful to Toshiba and utilities. This tools and utilities to control some useful special features as feature special keys or the HARD disk protection.

  I recommend install you all of them and just have a total control on your machine. Of course if you don't like or don't need some of them they can be disabled or removed from the system.

  I hope that my opinion is useful for you. If you have any other questions you are welcome.

  Is it better to use the drivers supplied by toshiba (nvidia, synaptics,...) or should I install it from the official hardware manufacturer as they have newer drivers than the toshiba site.

  Generally the drivers of Toshiba page should be used because these drivers are tested by Toshiba.
  For example, the Toshiba display driver supports some kind of overheating protection and reduce clock down the GPU so the temperature would be too high in this case the performance for a short period, but that would lower the temperature as far as I know, that don t chip manufacturers drivers are supported by this feature
  So the use of these drivers is at your own risk

  However, you can install drivers page maker Synaptics. There is no risk.

  It works fine for me. I use a version of XP 64-bit in combination with the adapter Toshiba USB Bluetooth v1.2.

  I have a Qosmio G30-126 with Vista Ultimate.

  Whenever I try to download the new drivers from Toshiba Europe site, the connection is broken.

  The result is an incomplete ZIP file that is unusable. If I use download accelerators, the file seems to download completely butstill is unusable (failed CRC check) the same error with incomplete downloads.
  I can only managed to download small files of site of Toshiba, and only after some several trials. They do not have at the first trial.

  I tried IE7 and firefox without success. I used DownloadAccelerator most, but it's even worse.

  Does anyone have any sugestion or solution?

  Look I use the IE6.
  I think you should try to download it again and check your operating system, Web browser and internet settings!

  Has had a HARD drive failure and bought the product recovery DVD, many drivers are unsigned and therefore used to install. Would have thought that Toshiba drivers tire would be signed, have searched the forum for an idea on what to do about and can't find anything.

  If you install all the Windows Toshiba Recovery disk drivers and tools will install automatically. During the installation of recovery, no error message and everything will be done automatically. So, I do not know what you mean with the drivers won t install.

  The fact is that all the drivers and tools (the entire contents of the recovery disk) is pretested by Toshiba and it works properly. Everything is tested and designed for a perfect use.
