trouble trying to burn an audio cd... I've done it before, but all of a sudden it won't let me.

When I try to burn a cd, it goes up to 99% complete then says that Windows Media Player has encountered an error when burning. Check that the burner is connected properly and that the disc is clean and not damaged. so, how can ensure me that the burner is connected?

  • Trouble trying to burn an ISO to 14 items

I have completed and successfully burned a project to a DVD and have just completed the second and am ready to burn an iso image project. I did a preliminary burn successfully two days ago to identify areas that needed changes or improvement. It was finished and I tried to burn an iso image again without success. I used the same settings, for example an AVCHD with content adapted to the available space is TICKING box as I did several days ago, but this time the pop-up "Indexing" happens which suggests the process has started, but nothing happens. I checked my memory, disk space, I restarted the application, and then the computer, but it is still on the screen of indexing with what seems to be no activity e.g. no change to the progress bar, and no sound from the computer to indicate that it is actively working.

Can advise you as to what could be stopping the generation of the image to begin.

See you soon... AndyScreen Shot 2016-01-15 at 2.25.56 PM.png

I would remove all new project and go back to the old, make the changes and burn ISO.

On a side note, I know that the size of the iso is not issue to the problem that you are experiencing right now. Its rather a problem of image quality.

    Substitute:

Unregister Windows Installer and then reregister Windows Installer. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. in the menu 'Start', click on ' execute:.»

    2. in the "Open" box, type "msiexec /unreg", and then press ENTER.

    3. in the menu 'Start', click 'run '.

    4. in the "Open" box, type "msiexec/regserver", and then press ENTER.

If this is insufficient, the I would say to install the Windows Installer Cleanup utility and run that to remove the Java remains Setup files that can cause problems with your current installation.

  • Why my WMP will burn a WAV file as a disk of data, but not as an audio disc?

I have an audio file that began as part of a power point presentation. It is now saved as a WAV file. I have successfully he burned as a data disc, but need the disc is playable in a cd player. When I try to burn as an audio disc, WMP gives me the error message "Windows Media Player cannot open the WAV file."
Why can open and burn the file as data disc, but cannot open the file when I am trying to burn an audio disc?

E length is 11:11, baud rate: 16 Kbps, media type: audio, the file is not protected. I have WMP set to burn at slow speed.

    Any help would be appreciated.

WMP should be able to read the file. But to burn I do not. I never use it for burning.

Audacity is a free software and is a full blown audio editor, where you can change the bitrate by exporting (save as) the fileas, which is required FRO Redbook 16 bit burning.

  • Cannot read the CD in the CD/DVD drive after having burned the audio files in Windows Media Player

I burned an audio cd with windows media player, it works on my computer but not on a cd player (I tried several players). Any ideas what I could do wrong?

    Original title: Windows Media Player

    Hello

Please check the format to which the disk was burned. If the drive is made to a data disc format, several readers of cd or dvd will not be able to read its contents. In order for a disc in a cd player, it must be created in a format supporting by the player, which varies according to different manufacturers.

    Hi Barbara,

You can use the player to burn a mixture of songs from the library of the drive or your computer to an audio CD, after which you can play the CD in any standard CD player. Alternatively, you can burn files on CD and DVD data. It is not possible to burn the live streams, such as radio stations, on a CD or a DVD.

When I try ry to burn an audio file using Media Player on Windows 7, I get this error on some of the songs to burn: "it is not possible to determine if this file can fit on a disc because Windows Media Player cannot detect the length of the file.  Playback of the file before burning could allow the player to detect the length of the file. "Could not resolve.  Help?

If it's a wav file that you need to it on 2 CD download and use Audacity (Editor audio freeware) to edit the file and cut out. Turn it into an mp3 file or burn it as a data file.

Or, if its an mp3 file, open it in Audacity and save it in mp3 format, but with a lower rate.
ATTENTION: not all players can read burned CD, mp3 files first consult their documents.
