Cannot access a Web site using Java Script. I'm not sure what it blocks I use Win 7, Avast free, AntimalwareBytes.

I don't know what it blocks, but suspect it is related to the security of Windows.
I think that the Java Applet is blocked, but I would like to run this test of speed from my ISP.  I tried to access the website of Google Chrome and IE, with the same result. Nobody knows what this block and how to unlock it?

This is actually not JavaScript, it's Java.  Despite the name, they are really very very different.

Java itself can be dangerous, especially if it is not a trusted application.  It is my sincere recommendation that you do not continue.

If you want anyway, you can go into your control panel, open the Java settings and set it to allow untrusted applications.

Do a check with some malware malware, analysis of programs on the Windows computer.

You need to scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before scanning.

Alternatively, you can write a check for an infection rootkit TDSSKiller.

    Hey easternguy,.

Check if you can test the Web site by name.

    To do this:

    a. Click Start and type cmd.

    b. press ENTER.

    c. type the following command:

    ping hostname

Ping uses name resolution to resolve a computer by IP address name. Therefore, if you successfully ping the IP address but you cannot ping a computer name, there is a problem with host name resolution, and no network connectivity.

Case 1: If you can not ping the Web site using its address, follow these steps.

In this case, try changing your host file.

In the C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc Hosts files may be damaged or corrupted.

Review the contents of your HOSTS file and compare it to the screenshot below. There is no need to worry about any line that starts with a # is ignored by Windows. In addition, the line "127.0.0.1 localhost" can be ignored without risk, because it is a standard input.

Everything that appears in your HOSTS file without a # earlier this year, aside from the "127.0.0.1 localhost" line, should be regarded with suspicion when we try to diagnose the cause of the problem. The fastest way to test the involvement of HOSTS file is to just rename the host file. By changing the name of the HOSTS file, prevent us Internet Explorer to use it and so all problems caused by the file.

    Case 2:

If you can ping external websites by IP address and name, but can't browse the web, probably your browser is misconfigured.

Check that you do not have an incorrect Proxy Server affected necessary or not.

For Internet Explorer, follow these steps.

    a. open Internet Explorer.

    b. go to Tools / Internet Options.

    c. click on the Connections tab.

    d. click the LAN Settings button.

"e. uncheck both" "automatically detect settings" and "use a proxy server for your LAN '.

    This should be it.

  • Windows Vista cannot access https Web sites

    Hello

My friend Tommy has an Acer Aspire 5315 with an Intel Celeron 550 CPU and 1 GB of RAM.  Service Pack 2 for Windows Vista HomeBasic runs.  He got the computer in the United Kingdom but lives now in Australia.
He wants to access his hotmail and facebook messaging, but can't.
The http sites normal http://google.com/ work very well for him.  However, it seems that whenever he tries to use a Web site by using an https connection, it gets a "Internet Explorer cannot display this webpage" or equivalent.
It connects via a Huawei E585 Pocket Wifi device - it connects to wifi then broadcasts a wireless internet connection to his computer.  He gets his internet through Vodafone Australia.  I have a similar device - a keen wireless thus N420.  It can also connect through it.  Its problems occur for both devices.  My internet works fine on my computer using my camera.  Therefore, it is not a problem of modem and is an internal problem to his laptop computer.

All his problems occur in the same way for Internet Explorer, Chrome, and Firefox.  So it isn't a browser-specific problem.
I have disabled the Windows Firewall.  He always gets the error messages.
It is not * seem * to have a firewall installed, even if it was AVG free anti-virus installed.
AVG Vault shows that he has been hit by at least 4 Trojan horses in the past.
His computer is incredibly slow - processing both with the internet.  My internet is too slow, so this is probably due to a bad ISP.

    I have a new router, n600 ea2700, replace a wrt54g2 for this.

I have an internal Web server configuration, with port 80 redirection http to my iis7 Web with a server static ip address

I can access my areas outside my internal network (IE my cell phone), but when I type in www.mydomain(s).com (one of them) in my browser on a wired computer or internal wireless I get "cannot display this page".

I can ping the www.my... and get an answer to my router static ip (internet provider)

I can type in my static ip of the Web server and get my splash screen for iis7

  • Web searches are redirected to OpenDNS. Cannot access these Web sites.

This problem just started. Whenever I try to load a page (in this case Gamefaqs), I get redirected to this search engine called openDNS, saying that the site is not available. It has a link to the site, and whenever I clicked, it redirects me to this thing OpenDNS.

I tried loading the page with the default browser of chrome on this phone, but also my laptop using firefox and chrome and have not experienced this problem. Yet the problem persists when you try to access the mobile site through firefox.

I have tried clearing the cache, uninstall and reinstalling, yet the problem isn't resolved. I have done a virus scan, thinking it might be some form of malware that is hijacking my search engine. That all comes back clean.

I've never heard of OpenDNS, nor have I allowed it to become my search engine. When I go into the settings of search engine, it does not appear, but he manages to keep hijacking of my searches on google and redirect me sites that work normally.

    Please help me.

Hi SuperRup91, I was able to reproduce this problem on Firefox Mobile on a wi - fi network using OpenDNS. Queries for a single word for non-existent domains + by pressing the arrow go back a page of results of OpenDNS. Typing a search suggestion next to the icon of Google for the word, or by using a query of several given word of Google results. Unless you can change to a different DNS provider, I think you may be stuck with these options.

  • I get a message that says: "this connection is not approved" whenever I try to access ANY Web site

I looked through previous questions and remove any software suspicious (it was not really, just a Bing bar). I deleted firefox and reloaded it. I bought Norton Antivirus and ran a scan - nothing. Date and time on my computer are correct. Explorer works very well. Help! I prefer firefox, but I can't access ANY Web site. I get this message every time.

I've been down all the instructions on the Firefox support forum, and nothing has worked. The question may not be the Web site certificate, because it happens to EVERY SINGLE website I try to access. Nevertheless, I have add an exception for Facebook according to the instructions. That caused a strange page, not formatted to come. Since, I have read that to make an exception is dangerous because it can cause MORE unwanted malware to infect the computer.

However, I did figure it out on my own so maybe this will help those who are facing this problem in the future: after reading the past messages from those who have experienced the same thing, I realized that, in all cases, the solution was to remove some kind of unwanted software (malware). I'm very careful NOT to download the software and I noticed that another victim of this says the same thing, so it's sneaky. I even bought new software (Norton) antivirus, performed a scan and the problem has not been found.

I went to programs "to uninstall programs," sorted by date and anything that looked suspicious that was recently removed. I had something with the word "rocket" in it. It looked like a game. There is also another program that I removed (don't remember the name of it now). Removing those does not solve the problem, so I returned through all programs on my list and removed something that said "toolbar" on this topic, even if it was reliable (I had a bing and google toolbar). That doesn't seem to work either so I sort the programs by date again and I noticed that the software "rocket" was ALWAYS THERE.

I have a click with the right on it and then click on 'uninstall' button again. It takes unusually LONG for this program uninstall AND nothing appears on the screen. The computer has just sort of is there and does nothing. I left and when I came back (about an hour later) the program had disappeared from the list.

Firefox now works. I no longer receive this message, but here's the deal: I'm not 100% sure what program was the problem. It was this software of rocket or one of the toolbars. Nevertheless, the answer always seems to be some kind of unwanted malware, so I recommend that any victim of this problem try to uninstall the suspicious programs initially. And this means that ALL suspicious programs are RECENT, regardless of if they resemble games or antivirus or another. If it is new and you do not download it, uninstall it.
