Try to reformat

Hi, I have a laptop HP Pavilion series g6... I tried to reformat without using a cd that follows this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GW2hPNZ3PrA but unfortunately used to restore factory back up even 1%... so I restarted my laptop and press f11 it says

1. Insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer.

2. choose your language settings, and then click "next".

3. click on "repair your computer".

but the problem is that I don't have the disc... I have here a way to solve the problem? :/ I hope you could help me please thank you!

Download this image:

http://azcdn01.digitalrivercontent.NET/Office2010/X15-65733.ISO

It seems that Microsoft took down the SP1 images so that it is a pre - SP1 version. I'm downloading myself and will try. I'll post results in a few hours.

Download to a computer with a DVD burner. You then something that will turn a .iso on a usable DVD.

Here is a youtube video showing how to do go in Windows 7:

http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=mvf4B3rKQRs

Then, you can use the disc resulting to reload Windows 7 on the laptop. You will enter the key Code is located at the bottom of the laptop, or maybe inside the battery bay.

If it's 'the Answer', click on 'Accept as Solution' to help others find it.

  • Try to reformat the drive letter but Pavilion 5200 t is disabled

I have a desktop Pavilion d5200t with an operating system upgraded to Windows 7 that must be reformatted.  I want to delete all data and start over.  When I put the Windows 7 CD in the drive and go through install, I click the link Options of readers, but the C: drive, in which the operating system is installed, is disabled. that is, when I clicked Delete options and reformatting are inactive.  How can I get rid of this player.  Or, if I just leave it alone and let it all to backup windows.old, I could then just delete this folder.  I always felt that it was not a clean install.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hello:

I've never had a problem, the way Windows.old.

It's as good as a clean install, unless you have a virus nasty on the partition, but even in this case, it's probably in windows.old.

It is useful a clean install.

When you are finished and you have copied all the files from the windows.old folder that you want to copy to the new installation, just run Disk Cleanup utility and click the box of system files at bottom left of the window that opens your folder windows.old to check and delete, to correctly remove the cleaning windows.old folder.

And then defragment the disk since this folder has probably left a big "hole" in your file structure.

  • Try to reformat the drive - disk is write protected

    Hello

I'm trying to reformat an audio CD. Is this possible? When I go to my computer, select the D: drive, and then click format, the format window opens. When I click Start, it says that the disk is write protected. Is there a way to change this? I can burn DVDs and CDs without problem, as well as read them.

I am running Windows Home Premium 64-bit with a read/write DVD super multi drive.

OEM is the entry door. I've updated all my drivers, scanned my system for viruses using Norton Internet Security, also conducted an analysis of rootkit the gum power of Norton. Nothing found. SFC has not found any problem.

Could someone please help me with this?

    Thank you!

    # You can not format/re-use any CD/DVD other rewritable those once the session is closed - and with an audio CD you can play in a CD player - it is closed, no doubt.

  • reformatting laptop computer ("could not unmount disk')

    Hi all

I gave my mom my 2009 MBP and reformatted the drive. She didn't use it and I tried to reformat then I had my name and ID on it and ended up having to bring the genius bar because I couldn't get out to 'one-grey' PARTITION tab turns out I had to BOOT OPTION on the hard drive recovery in order to reformat the drive of the user (or whatever we call it).

the problem is that I brought home and he had a password that I was not able to remember.

so I thought I'd REFORMAT in OPTION STARTING in the hard drive recovery.

now when I go to the PARTITION tab I try to reformat to one partition and I get an error "could not remove the disc.

can someone help me find a way to get this disk to a new facility with no connection so I can make it work with her again?

    Thanks in advance

You can try and use the original CD-ROM of your operating system to format your drive, or you can create a bootable USB drive and reformat your hard disk from there. By starting in something other than the computer's hard drive, you can work around the disk to remove error.

Create an installer for OS X - Apple support bootable

Use the version of Mac OS X included with your Mac, or a more recent compatible version - Apple Support

    I hope this helps!

Try to reformat my old laptop but my cd rom is broken when I try to do with an external cd drive via usb, the computer does not see the external cd drive

    Hi eeeLW,

    ·         Other not detected USB devices?

Check if the drive is detected in Windows Explorer. To check if the drive is recognized by Windows, you will need to click Start, click my computer. Check if you can see the drive.

Method 1: Make sure that the drive is detected in the BIOS (basic system Input\Output). Refer to the manual or visit the support Web site to do this. Connect the drive to a different USB port and check if it helps.

Method 2: Run this utility of automated troubleshooting and see if it makes a difference.

  • reformat Vista Home Basic

My pc has started to lock up only when I played WoW. I ran the repair WoW several times, but as the day wore on computer lock-up that happened any program I was running. I ran scans and found no problem. I was told to try a reformat. "while the reformat, the computer would cycle through all 5 disc, ask for disc 1, then after a small wait would show," Please wait while vista opens for the first time... «, in a few seconds, the screen would change to a random pattern of what looked like bars of stationary load... we tried to reformat again but it says no hard drive found... we have replaced the hard drive, but it's still the random display Gauge.» There is a fatal error happening too, but he closes this window too fast for me to get the number of error... what should I do now?

    Yes, they are.
They are called either the recovery discs, if a manufacturer or Installation diskettes.

    Microsoft cannot help you.

You will need to contact those that you bought Vista of Newegg discs and get the replacement of drives to work, if that's the problem.

If there is nothing wrong with the disks, you may have a hardware problem, stopping at the Installoation.

In this case, contact a local and trusted computer repair workshop.

  • Get the F3-F200-002 error when you try to start Windows 7 64-bit edition

I have a Toshiba Satellite computer laptop C855-S5214...   I had to restart the computer after an AVG update. It closed and restarted and got stuck on the windows icon (icon was always moving / floating, but it wouldn't keep loading)...  He did this thing even a week or two ago... We took out the battery and put it again and it booted up fine... this time... nothing...   (don't ask me why we pulled out the battery... we (that is her husband) did and told me eventually--)

At first he would stop at the windows icon and just stay there forever...  Then, I did F8 and started in safe mode... which worked well...  I tried to do the repair, and it comes to say it could not be repaired and to close... then I tried the last known good configuration startup and that did nothing at all... literally... after a few readings on the internet, I decided to use my 5 recovery disks from Toshiba that I made when I came to the computer and try to reformat save my files... I went into Setup and said to boot from the CD/DVD-ROM, because I could not do that without forcing this way... he got through 3 disks and then the disk 4, I got the F3-F200-002 error and now I can't do ANYTHING without getting this error can not enter setup F2...  I get the error until it's here, so I can't recover even to change it to boot from a hard disk instead of the CD/DVD drive...  I can get to the F8 screen but what I chose, I get the error...  I even tried to put in disk 1, as it is supposed to be the 'solution' to this error, but that does not work either...

    Leslie

    Hello

It is an error code very vague on what is best to fix it.

And the closet I can find is 0002, no 002

Solutions to be a module of bad memory, bad sectors on the hard drive, defective recovery disks or a faulty hard disk can designate.

To reinstall from the Toshiba recovery partition, makes you the disks, you press the 0 (zero) to start, then follow the instructions for installation back to factory settings.
