• Just try installing the SDK makes me crazy

  A few months ago the QNX Momentics 10.2 I downloaded was working fine until suddenly, the pacemaker stopped working. I gave up sorta trying to develop my App. recently, I decided to pick it up again, but I have so much to download files (I know that my internet is sometimes quite sloppy but...)

  -Download the main installer file took me that so many times I almost gave up. Kudos to my z30 who managed to download reloading again and again when it fails.

  -However, I'm trying to update the Simulator and the API levels etc. from the program itself. Somehow, files are ALWAYS corrupted and the program somehow realize that then he just keeps trying to run the corrupt ZIP, unsuccessfully of course.

  -I know this because I see that the file stopped downloading at about 30-40 MB.

  Sorry for the rant. So my real question is:

  1. How can I download the SDK files manually to update? I tried this other method (http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Native-Development/Cascades-SDK-update-fails-An-error-occurre... ), but I couldn't find the files needed to step 7.

  2. How do to locate half downloaded file from my system (where is its location) and perhaps I can just try installation again? I tried just clearing my Temp files. But it still does not... don't always seem to download a fresh copy (from what I see?)

  3. What can I do else?

  To apologize for sounding so angsty. It's really get into me, as this seems to be a simple but intractable question. I see messages dating back to months ago and again, it seems not yet to be resolved...

  Update files are downloaded on p2/org.eclipse.equinox.p2.core/cache/.  Close the NDK, delete the files in this directory and try the update again

  If you have a different network, you can download you could install the NDK and update there and then copy this computer to your installation directory.

• Satellite M50 - how to make scratches disappear from the silver surface

  so the other week I bought a Toshiba Satellite M50 and I love her!
  I'm looking to snap the case for weeks because I know myself and I was sure that I would eventually ruin the outer shell, but I can't find anywhere.

  So last night I walk to the top of the stairs and my mother screaming something that makes me jump and I was wearing my phone with the charger on top and to prevent it from falling I really crack down fort and one of the pins on the top of the silver surface striped card.
  I'm so gutted!

  So my question is that no one knows what either which can make the scratch disappear or at least fade?

  I was thinking solvent, but don't want to try anything where it makes it worse.

  In my opinion there is not an effective method that you can use to remove or fade those stripes.
  The surface is damaged and, unfortunately, it will still be visible.

  I also think that you should not use dissolving because of the possible chemicals that can damage the surface even more.

  Is it deep enough or just scratches superficially?

• I already have one zero drive for FCP 7 projects implemented.  I would use the same scratch drive for FCP 10.  Is there a special way of implementation is seamless?

  More details would be useful. You have already imported media in FCP7? Or you are just starting to work with both applications at the same time? What application you plan to use to ingest media? Don't try to use them both for ingest.  You can set FCPX to use the FCP7 Capture Scratch location for your support and then let the media imported in place. You can also assign a location for media to import using FCPX and then use this location for FCP7, again leaving the media in place.

  Or I totally misunderstood and you only talking about using the same drive, which is not a problem at all.

  Check to see if the following is useful.

  Method 1: Try changing the location of the file and see if you get the error. Copy the file to another location on the hard drive to open it.

  Method 2: Connect to the other user account and see if you get the same message. . If you don't have another account, then to create a and look for the same thing.

  Method 3: Try to perform a System Restore if the problem started to occur recently.

  Just some general info...

  FWIW... the .mswmm file is just the Movie Maker project file is not
  include the source of files (videos, photos, music, etc...), it records the
  path to the location of origin... so even if you could open it on school
  computer would be useless unless you also had copies of all sources
  files.

  If you cannot publish the project .mswmm to .wmv movie format file
  on the system that created the view may be a problem with the compatibility
  the source files.

  Several formats are apparently compatible with Movie Maker but most
  reliable choices are:

  Photos - bmp
  Video - wmv or dv - avi
  Music - wma, wav, wmv

  Also... it may be interesting to try to open Movie Maker and go to... Tools / Options /.
  Compatibility tab and disable all filters / OK.

  It is possible that your project is too large and too complex for your system resources.
  It may be interesting to try to create several small projects and publish each of them as
  a file separate .wmv video. Then import the collection of clips .wmv in Windows
  DVD Maker and each one becomes a scene (chapter). Also... you can re-import
  the collection of small files in Movie Maker .wmv and combine them into a single file.

  * Proceed at your own risk *.

  (1) it can be interesting to try to open Movie Maker and go to...
  Tools / Options / compatibility... tab and uncheck all the
  filters / OK.

  Close Movie Maker, and then try again DVD Maker.

  (2) in the case of a failure to solve the problem... you may have some
  corrupt or incompatible source files.
