• Try to work with the EPS file in CS5

  I'm completely confused. I just bought a set of borders since an online site. The borders are in EPS format. However, when I open them in Photoshop and Illustrator, they are all on a single layer.

  I tried to select those that I want to use in Illustrator the using the direct Selection tool, and then to copy and paste it into PS. Only parts of the border are coming along. I'm getting lines instead of the entire block of color (they airmail stripes). If I try to use the "Select" menu or the wand magic, almost everything is selected, since all borders are borders plane red and blue!

  I don't have a lot of experience in Illustrator (almost none) so I wonder if I'm doing something wrong.

  What I'm trying to do is to place borders around the old postcards in a digital collage.

  On the other hand, I wonder what kind of clip art service presents a giant bunch of borders as an EPS file, instead of like, say, png, or at least in layers. I just throw $5 into the sewer?

  $5 seems like a lot of monet for this simple file. But $5 isn't much these days and $5 is not a big loss.

• Suspension does not work with the exFAT file system

  I'm under Windows 7 Enterprise 64 and WMware Workstation 7.1.2 build 301548 on a host of 4 GB RAM machine.

  I created a virtual computer running Windows XP Professional SP3 with a virtual disk of 60 GB preallocated and cut into pieces of 2GB. RAM for this virtual machine is 2304 MB.

  All this virtual machine files are stored in a partition exFAT about 84 GB leaving 24 GB free.

  Everything works very well and fine, but I can't suspend the VM. When I try to do, I get the following error message:

  Cannot open the file 'C:\ProgramData\VMware\dndlogs\dndlog.conf': the system cannot find the specified file.

  Failed to save the State of the virtual machine. The State of this virtual machine may be registered only on a file system that supports more than 2,383 GB files.

  The underlying file system only supports files up to 2 GB.

  Do not suspend the VM.

  As exFAT supports files of size up to 16 exabytes (8 billion more than 2 GB!), for me this error sounds like VMware Workstation does not support exFAT partitions.

  In any case you know any workaround solution to suspend my virtual machine? Is really not exFAT support?

  the dndlog.conf message is annoying but completely harmless.

  exFat is not completely compatible - you must disable overzealous checking file system with the line that Woody already mentioned.

  That usually works.

  If it is necessary, you can also set the directory - suspended like this

  suspend. Directory = "h:\suspend".

• First cases project works with the RED files

  First of all, I must say that I don't know if the RED files have something to do with the problem.

  I'm editing this project for about a day. I close the first CC and come back, and then all of a sudden all the thumbnails timeline on all of my sequences are distorted. When I try to play the audio plays very well and the playhead to scroll along like nothing is wrong. I get no video playback, however.

  Move the playback cursor to a different location on a timeline shows the good image in the preview area of the project, but only after several seconds (10-15). If I play a long enough sequence, the image in the preview window will change now and then - it's almost like it's having a hard time to process the images.

  The problem with it is I'm working on this project for a day with no reading problems at all. Suddenly all this stops.

  I started a new project and imported the project failing inside - sequences, images, everything. The new project has worked perfectly for a few hours... and then came back to the same problem.

  Someone has an idea what is happening? I'm a little worried since this edition (of course) is a super fast turnaround, and I can't work on it when he does this.

After reinstalling, the overview of framework for edge seems to work how it was intended. Hooray!

  Fear, but relieved. At least for now.

  I would like to run several identical PDF files so that in each separate file I can make bookmarks and comments on various topics that relate to the same content, rather than attempt to differentiate between bookmarks and comments.

  Clearly, I could just duplicate the master file several times, I get it. But what I really want to do, it's often update the master file by adding new PDF files and subsidiary files update automatically with new content without disturbing the existing bookmarks etc. Eventually this will save me a lot of time.

  Please don't tell me that such a straight forward task cannot be achieved within the Acrobat software. If this is the case is an app pack or third-party software that can do?

  No, this is not possible, unless you use an Action or script to insert the new file in the existing files, or something like that. This can happen automatically, in any case.

  I use XE 11g on Windows 7 platform.  I also have Microsoft Office 2013.

  I have a macro in Excel that is running on a regular basis to load a small amount of data in Oracle tables.  It has worked well for years.

  Recently, another reason, I had to update the TNSNAMES file. ORA on the client and the server.  I had to change the (SERVER = DEDICATED) affecting (SERVER = SHARED).

  As I made this change, the macro no longer works.  If I change the TNSNAMES file. ORA back to DEDICATED on the client, all is well again, but my other new features fail.

  I get the following Microsoft VBA error when I open the client connection:

  [Oracle] [ODBC] [Ora] ORA-12520: TNS Listener could not find a Manager is available for the requested server type.

  I write the issue here since the TNSNAMES file. ORA definition seems to be the critical difference.

  Thanks for having me on the right track.  I solved it in other words.  I added a new section (XE_MSOFFICE) for the TNSNAMES file. ORA file on my client.  I then used the Microsoft ODBC Data Source Administrator tool on the USER DSN tab, I've reconfigured the TNS Service for XE_MSOFFICE name field.  I tested all functions and all work perfectly now.

  The next best option is to download a free copy of Adobe DNG Converter and use it to a format that your current ACR can work.

  I have a problem of execution of a proxy service that get the files from a file system. Everything in the flow works as expected, but at some point, I have to wait for an update on a database and the process awaits for this change. Everthing is normal if the update comes in the following minutes 1 - 7, but after that, if the process is always there in general (9-11 minutes), a second process is called and the processed file is the same. After the first process is called the folder is empty, so I don't understand why the proxy is called again with the same file, since there is nothing on the record. This can happen because I have make changes to the database.
  
  The process is called only twice with the same file, no process is still called (a third) If two processes still work, which is weird. given that nothing in my logical proxy back to the beginning.

  I think it is due to the delay of transaction. The PolledMessageListenerMDBEJB under file carrier has a timeout of the transaction of 10 minutes. So if you encounter a very long-lived transactions that spans more than 10 minutes, you could see the price drop that passes due to the delay.

  To confirm, is this is the case, when this problem occurs, go to JMS Modules > jmsResources > wlsb.internal.transport.task.queue.file_auto_n > Monitoring. You should see messages in the messages waiting in the column.

  Click to view the Messages. Click on a message and check the number of delivery. This should have a value of 1 or more which should mean the message has been restored at least once before.

  Anyone who works with the CAF (Caltech intermediate Format) files? These are files that are generated by IC layout programs, such as TannerEDA L-Edit, that define the layers and arrangement of the masks used in VLSI (Photolithography) of processing semiconductor device.

  I would like to analyse these CIF files to generate a map of wafer of devices for use in the-plate test. Currently, a plan of shooting is made and then I manually switch and define coordinates of line and column for the edge of a plate and various places of drop-in. I would like to automate this process, and I don't know if it is possible by playback of these files from the CAF. However, I don't really know how to read them, and I can get as much information from the Wikipedia page and the original article.

  So I ask: anyone has an easier set of screws that make reading CIF file? Or someone working with them can help me with my problem? I can describe it in much better detail once someone comes...

  Here is one of my notebooks CIF of Mathematica (remove the .txt extension obviously).  I used it to create a new CIF file with four instances of the object in a file.
