Trying to find the Pavilion dm4-1165dx with Windows 7 64 bit

While using my laptop it is stopped and tried to restart, but was unable to do so.  When I first turn on the HP splash screen will appear and then freeze.  If I turn it off and then turn on the HP splash screen appears and then the screen turns white with the exception of a cursor blinking in the upper left corner.  I can access the BIOS and run all the system diagnostics indicate no problems.  When I first bought the laptop I did a disc that I had to label as 'Windows 7 64-bit repair disc'.  At the start of this disc, it says that Windows is loading and I finally gave different recovery options, but so far none of them doesn't seem to work.  HP Recovery gives me the opportunity to use the Microsoft System Restore. It will tell the laptop has been restored successfully, but the results are the same, a frozen HP splash screen or the splash screen and then the curors flashing on a white screen.

I have a Pavilion dv6 i3 with Window 7 64-bit. To start the HP logo appears, then I get a black screen with a blinking cursor. I ran all the tests start and everything this past. I tried all F8, F9, F10, F11, recovery options with no luck. I tried to start with the ERD Window 7 64 bit I created when I install the laptop. Nothing... I did it with all the disconnected device. No luck. I'm looking for all the options until I re - install windows. I started with the Windows 7 recovery DVD and it reads, but I cancelled the process because it will reformat the hard drive and I expect to work around all the hassels of having settings to reinstall the software, etc.. Any ideas would be welcome.

Thanks for the reply. I already tried these steps. I created a bootable floppy that I can get the data on the hard drive and am trying to restore windows to the recpvery of the DVD system that I ordered with the computer. Thank you

  • HP pavilion dv6-1030us with windows vista 64 bit have now upgraded to windows7 32 bit.

HP pavilion dv6-1030us originally with windows vista 64 bit have now upgraded to windows7 32 bit. MIC is unable to send sound in Skype after upgradation.

    Hello

    Try the following.

First, uninstall Skype and when it is finished, restart the laptop.

When windows has reloaded, download and reinstall the Chipset driver here.

Once the installation is complete, restart the laptop.

Let windows load completely, then download the installer of IDT Audio on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp45001-45500/sp45044.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you're done, shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery, connect the power adapter and start Notepad.

Let Windows load fully, then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When this has completed, restart the computer again.

Reinstall Skype and see if the MIC now works Ok.

  • Trying to get the Brazilian keyboard work with Windows 7

I just got a new computer with Windows 7, and I'm trying to get a Brazilian keyboard to work with her.  My old computer has XP, and this same keyboard worked fine.  I created another one for when I was using this keyboard, and he'd let me use all the keys (I don't remember what was the keyboard layout I used).

When I try and configure it with Windows 7, however, there is no keyboard layout that corresponds to my layout.  ABNT and ABNT2 options are similar, and both are missing two key.  My keyboard has the-to the left of the z and the / right of;  Is there an error with the way Windows 7 has implemented one of these keyboards?  Thank you.

I just bought a windows 7, but before the case was made I said guys from dell, I needed a computer with Brazilian keyboard. also i paid 50.00 dollars more and they have installed the software to change the language of the computer to the Portuguese. Here's the deal, professional window 7 or windows Ultimate edition, you will have the layout and language... to make it work perfectly. Now if you want to get the layout of the keyboard and language on the regular windows 7 all you have to do is go to microsoft.com and download it. hope it will be useful. you will need to find a way to use the keyboard, codes may be an exercise. but in a day or two, you'll discover. Remember to make all updates as soon as you buy a computer. After you set your PC and all new updates start popping up, just download each important updates. all this information was passed to buy me no one selling Dell.

    Hello

Thousands of questions and answers are on this forum and the answer is simple for laptops, it is very difficult if not impossible to update the video cards (except some models). In this case, the answer is no, you need new card mother, new system of cooling... and the cost can be more expensive to purchase a new machine.

    Any ideas?

How can we be sure that you have installed Win7 64 bit OS?

    Stay with 32 bit.

  • With the help of VISA with Windows 7 64-bit resource control

    Hello.

My company has recently upgraded our laptops, and I now work on Windows 7 64 bit rather than Windows XP 32 - bit.  I reinstalled a bunch of basic LabVIEW 2009, hoping that the 64-bit Windows 7 operating system would be able to handle 32-bit LabVIEW 2009 without problems.  But trying to run our test system, the control of VISA resources does not work.

We use it to get a list of the COM (RS232) ports on the computer.  But the list is now empty.  The only option that appears in the list, is the text "Refresh."  But nothing happens when I press it.  Is this a bug in LabVIEW?  I installed the latest patch that I found, so now I'm under LabVIEW v9.0f3 (32 bit).

    Many thanks for any help!

LabVIEW SP1 has an x 64 native installer.  I'm running very well with drivers 64-bit on this disc.  I think that the later will have something to do with your problem.  See the com ports in MAX?

  • Reinstall the applications pre-loaded with Windows 7 64 bit upgrade

I'm looking to upgrade my 32 bit to 64 bit on my HP Pavilion a6710t (which came with Vista 32-bit) OS.

Because I'm changing from 32 bit to 64 bit I do a 'Custom' instead of 'Upgrade' installation installation so I I will lose programs installed, including pre-installed as Cyberlink DVD Suite software and reinstall it after the upgrade is done.

Downloads for 64-bit for my look of machine to be upgraded already installed software to be compatible with 64-bit software installations and is not complete.

Is it possible to re - install somehow? Like going somewhere on the recovery DVDs?

    Thank you!

    -Andrew Chang

Yes, the pre-installed software installation routines are on your HP DVD recovery. Explore disk recovery DVD #1 and I think you will find a folder named "HP". In the "HP" folder should be a folder named 'Apps' and another named 'Drvr' or something similar. In these files should be most, if not all, of the included software.

Alternatively, you can locate the same files in a folder named "SWsetup" on your c:\ drive, if you have not previously modified.

  • Try to install the drivers on HP Pavilion dm4-1165dx AMD

Hey, I bought the HP Pavilion dm4-1165dx, and saw that my product has two drivers, one motherboard that the computer by using default and the other is an AMD graphics card.

When I opened my device manager and go to graphics cards the only device I see is "Intel(r) HD Graphics",
I tried to install the driver AMD, I saw that my product: HP Pavilion dm4-1165dx, has the AMD graphics card so I typed the number of my product on the HP site, and then I clicked on driver - graphics (2), I saw the hd intel r graphics and AMD HD Graphics Driver, I clicked it, downloaded, close the antivirus and I started to install , ultimately his told me that installation had problems, I tried to uninstall, but it's just stuck at "Please wait while the list is full" and his does nothing.

I tried to install again, but its always make problems.

I opened the phone book: C:\Programs ATI Technologies and the directory is empty.

So what I need to do to install the AMD drivers? Thank you .

    Hello

link below has the specifications for your PC. If the product number is the same, this means that your PC has not any AMD graphics card. You are right...

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02492953

Therefore, you can ignore the class driver for AMD and simply to use the Intel driver from the link.

  • HP Pavilion DM4-1165DX does not illuminate

    I have a laptop HP Pavilion DM4-1165DX.

When you use yesterday, the screen flickered, and then the computer off. Now it will not turn back. When I press the power button, the led on the power button, button for on / off Wireless (F12), fingerprint and the light on the side of the portable flash player then return to offshore. There is nothing to indicate that the machine tries to start, just a flicker of lights, then back to nothing. These lights will also Flash when the laptop is plugged in, but not flashing unplugged the battery included.

The light next to the power connector is on, indicating that the unit is powered.

I tried a hard reset and that did not help. Does anyone have an idea what may be causing this problem?

    Thank you

I talked to hp and they said that it is the motherboard... $351 for repair unless people start to complain, and he comes from a manufacturing problem... Be sure to report...
