Trying to import IE Favorites, but only shows Opera option

Following the instructions for importing Internet Explorer favorites into Firefox, select history, the history, and then import them from another browser.
Only opera shows optional. How can I get IE to display?

In collaboration with LinuxMint 11 on Compaq laptop.

    I tried to import my bookmarks from IE 8 following the process described. It seemed to work until I looked at the imported list and saw that only the first record of my many favorites is listed under imported IE Favorites. How can I get the rest of my files?     If there are problems with importing IE bookmarks in Firefox, then export favorites in Internet Explorer to a HTML file and import this file in the Firefox Bookmarks Manager.

    Before reformat my PC, I exported all my favorites via the HTML file. I reformatted, installed Firefox, then attempted to import all my favorites.     I thought that maybe I could transfer the HTML file in a JSON file, but I couldn't find a way to do it, even after it is renamed file extensions. The HTML file may possibly be corrupt? I'm running out of ideas on how to do to import my favorites!

    I managed to fix it.

    (1) I opened the HTML file with notepad.
    (2) I then went to file > save as >

      -Then changed the file type to, "All Types"

    (3) then in file name I named it Bookmarks.JSON

      -The HTML file now saved as a JSON backup and I was able to import it.

    However,.

    There is still no patch or reason to explain why the backup HTML does not. I strongly suggest you Firefox fix, as it was highly agitation.

  • Receive messages, but only shows the header, not opening messages

    Yesterday, all of a sudden, download my emails, but only the header appears. No message. I have the two incoming POP and IMAP, both do the same thing. If I double-click on a message, a new window opens - no message - just the header. If I go on more, then Classic view - then I can see my message. But NOT if I put the classic view for all of the programming. That freeze the program.

    I can click on whatever I want on different messages, but nothing happens to change the header since the first message I tried to display. I can delete messages, but not to open them.

    She also took forever to download an email attachment in IMAP, but not messages from POP.

    Using Windows 7, this happened to the previous version and just upgraded to 38.0.01 to try to fix it. No luck.

    Is it possible to go back to an older version of Thunderbird and have this job?

  • I followed the instructions to import IE Favorites, but it did not work. What I've done wrong?

    All I get is a folder called "links from the united kingdom" containing three cases over which are the first second and fifth in my IE Favorites list.

    Incomplete import sometimes (example of the ongoing thread: only 1/3 of my bookmarks imported from IE.) How can I move the rest?). Could be linked to the number/depth records, but I'm not sure if someone has finally identified the cause.

    For best results, export of IE to an intermediate file, which is in HTML format. Then import this file into Firefox. This will be a folder in the bookmarks Menu, and you can use the dialog box Organizer/library to reorganize the way you want.

  • Show hide layers works under IE, but only 'shows' all other div in Mozilla

    Has anyone else encountered this problem?

    I use PHP/MySQL/Javascript/CSS with Dreamweaver & ADDT Dreamweaver.

    What I do:

    Create a set with one hand, a card google and 9 photo thumbnails all which, once clicked raise their own div. hidden in IE, Safari and Google Chrome, it works very well. INE Mozilla and Netscape only every other div will appear.

    In this example, photo_main will not work, but picture_1 will work. Any thoughts?

    Initially, I had the onclick event in an anchor tag. push the browser to the top of the page. still disrupts the flow of the page. I didn't want the page jumps all the time, so I removed the .  I didn't know I could use a tag without the href part - now that I know, I removed the onclick of the image tag.

    I didn't do it the way you did or the other.  The upper part of the page thing is easily fixed in one of two ways:

    1. the use

    2. use a false return on the link, for example,

    Either people would be much more suitable for this use, in my opinion.

    Good point.  The reason why remove your comments worked, is that all your comments are poorly trained.  You can't do an HTML comment like this-
