TS 130 with Windows 8 Pro OEM version

Intend to buy 130 TS and would like to know if I could use it as an office
PC with Windows 8 PRO OEM builder version of the product?

Thank you!

Hello and welcome back!

It should work. Windows 8 is compatible / certified on the TS130 platform means that Lenovo provides drivers, firmware, etc. for this OS and is supported.

You can not. An OEM copy is forever linked to the first computer on which it is installed.

Windows 8 Pro OEM System Builder has rights of transfer, then Yes, you can move it to a new computer or the motherboard.

  • Activate Windows 7 Pro OEM version

I recently built a new computer with all new parts.  I bought and installed an OEM of Windows 7 Pro version.  It was working fine until the end of the period of activation.  How can I activate this OEM version?  I missed a step in the installation?

Thank you guys for your comments.  I bought another product key and it worked this time.  Maybe I just have a bad key.

  • The upgrade of Windows 7 Pro OEM of Windows 7 Ultimate retail

My PC is custom built and delivered with Windows 7 Pro OEM installed.  I want to install Windows 7 Ultimate in order to obtain several language and BitLocker.  I know that in a few months, I'll change this PC motherboard (motherboard).

I know that with the OEM, the product key of Windows 7 license is attached to the motherboard.  So when I change, Win 7 Pro license will be lost.  Since I want to be able to transfer the license of Windows 7 to one MOBO to another, I bought a full commercial version of ultimate.

My question is this.  To upgrade the Pro OEM ultimate retail, it's just a matter of changing the product key on the screen of the system property and the new product key will launch the installation of missing features to Windows 7 Pro?

    You must use Anytime Upgrade.

Click Start, type Anytime Upgrade, follow the on-screen Wizard, enter the key of Windows 7 ultimate on demand, click on, and then restart your computer when you are prompted. Less than 10 minutes, you should be upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate and your files and settings retained.

    Two points:

    1. it is unlikely that your current installation would work if
you have changed motherboards. You need to reinstall itself.

2 but you cannot use your current copy of Windows if you change
motherboards, not even if reinstall you it cleanly. The largest
disadvantage of an OEM version, is that its license it binds permanently
the first computer, it is installed on and Microsoft believes that
If you change the motherboards, another computer. It can never
legally be moved to another computer, sold or transferred (except with)
the original computer). If the computer dies or is stolen, your
    license dies with him.

  • Set up a wireless HP all-in-one printer on your desktop with Windows XP Pro Version 5.1 SP3

Recently, I uninstalled Solution Center HP from my desktop PC with Windows XP Pro Version 5.1 SP3.  The program worked very well and was connected wireless to my HP Photosmart all-in-One 309 g.

Now, when I downloaded the latest software feature full HP and installed, it has completed the installation but could not connect to the wireless printer.  Setting up the wireless printer, he did 'see' the HP 309 g printer and I chose this but it gave me a dialog box saying that there was no installation configuration.  I also, tried the control panel "Add Hardware", but he couldn't 'find' the printer.  What should I do?

You have an icon for the 309 g Photosmart in Start menu > printers and faxes?

If so, right-click on it, select Properties, and click the Ports tab.
By ensuring NOT to click inside the list, use the scroll bar on the right until you see the line highlighted and verified with the port used for this printer.  That said this line in the columns 'Port' and 'Description '?

Note that you may need to click and drag on the small vertical line between 'Port' and 'Description' in the header line to make the column wide enough to read the entire entry.

Click Cancel to exit the printer properties dialog box.

Had problems with Windows 8 Pro that I bought after the pre version, seems when I tried to reinstall it, kept getting no configure after installation.  So I tried a full install without success.  Can you please give some tips to overcome this problem?  I lost the back upward with the resettlement, don't know how, but I have a QuadCore intel 9650 memory of 8 GB, 560 GTX GPU, 120 GB SSD.  Can I install windows 7 ultimate, but I prefer Windows 8 Pro and don't want to pay for it again.

I suggest you reinstall Windows 7 first, then use your existing Windows 8 Pro key and reinstall Windows 8 Pro from the following link:

You can download it from there and use your product key to upgrade:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-GB/Windows-8/upgrade-product-key-only

You will need to reactivate by phone:

    Activation of the phone:

    1. press the Windows key + X , and then click run, and then type: slui.exe 4

    2. then press the ENTER"" key.

    3. Select your "country" in the list.

    4. choose the option "activate phone".

    5. stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

    6. explain your problem clearly to the support person.

  • Windows 7 Pro (OEM) suddenly not authentic

    Hello

We have a Dell Vostro computer laptop that was preloaded with Windows 7 Pro and have had it for about 2 years.    In recent weeks, Windows began to vomit warnings that Windows was not genuine, and we can also download updates Windows on it.   No changes were made to the computer, and does not install any major software or changes were made.

Looking at work - properties, it shows that Windows is activated.  In addition, if we run the WGA Diagnostic tool, it shows that Windows is genuine and activated.   So, we are really confused on this issue.

Dell support had us try a few things, which included the re - enter the product key (using the key on the sticker of MS, which is located on the computer) and forcing activation to run again.  Finally, they said that we had to reinstall Windows (what?) or call Microsoft technical support.  And the right to call Microsoft's $400 or $500.

Everyone else ran into this and found a solution?   We also tried updating the BIOS of the machine, without change.

I have a professional OEM Windows 7 license, I need to reinstall, but I don't have the disk.  I have another pc I have bought accidenlty windows 8, I want to buy windows 7 pro for her also.  can I use the same drive on both PCs?  Each pc will have its own license.  The two PC's with Windows 7 pro Acers and 8 versions premium oem.  I'll go the full pro 7 license.

  • How can you tell the difference between Microsoft Windows 8 Pro Full version and upgrade?

For previous versions of Windows, for example, Windows 7, it was very easy.  Windows 7 Ultimate Upgrade has 'Upgrade' printed on the outside the box in the upper right, as well as on the discs themselves, while the full version does not work.

See here for example of the box: http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2010/193/e/0/Windows_7_Ultimate_upgrade_by_LucasVN.jpg

    For examples of records, see here: http://headsetchatter.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/snapshot-1283367118.977272.jpg, - http://www.microsoftcheapsoftware.com/ekmps/shops/samehxm/images/microsoft-windows-7-ultimate-sp1-upgrade-[3] 148 - p.jpg

With Windows 8 Pro, I can't find any distinctive feature.  I bought the full version and upgrade of Windows 8 Pro, but after their installation on several dozen calculates, I lost track of which boxes and discs are which.  And there seems to be no way to understand who is who...

There is never any full retail versions of Windows 8, Windows 8 Pro box. Only Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro OEM System Builder licenses were full versions. It's the best way to confirm.

Since the release of Windows 8.1, in retail box copies are full versions.

  • Windows 8 Pro OEM update problem

    Hi all

I recently bought an Acer P3 pre-installed with Microsoft Windows 8 single language tablet. Since I need to use some of the functionality available only with the Pro version, I bought a Windows 8 Pro OEM license. Since there is no way to reinstall Windows 8 at the beginning, I use the 'add new features' upgrade. Apparently the license does not work since it is a complete Pro 8 license and features requires the Windows 8 Pack Pro license instead. So, I make a call to Microsoft Tech Line and full of hope that they can change the license Pro Pack. After 2 hours of curiosity and the final tip, pleading for a change (it is not possible to Exchange or refund from the store I bought because the seal is already open), they will not always be allowed to change and leave me with RM 414 (~ 129 USD) in the sewers.

Is it possible for me to upgrade to Windows 8 Pro with this product key, and I really hope there is some flexibility on the part of Microsoft to help me in this situation since I already bought a Microsoft product with a higher value than the Pro Pack Upgrade. I would be happy for you to show my Bill and photo of the if product key requires Microsoft.

Thank you and looking forward to any kind of answers.

Unfortunately, add functionality does not support OEM System Builder licenses. You should have bought the Pro Pack or Pro Windows 8 details of upgrade.

Your only other option because you can not return it is again a custom installation of the currently installed Windows 8 SL. Backup the current Windows 8 install before do you.

First, create a backup of your installation of Windows 8 on an external hard drive:

    http://techingiteasy.WordPress.com/2012/10/29/how-to-backup-your-Windows-8-installation/

    Then, create a repair disk:

  • WINDOWS XP PRO OEM OS PROBLEM (S)

    Community (?) merge,.

VM Guest PC error message: cannot configure target VM.

Hello everyone,-New virtualization VM, so far, fortunately have not drowned, treading water with impatience! Currently, I use a MBP with Mt Lion. I tried to install Fusion 5/Mac several times (4 to be exact) all to no avail. I think that my problem might be the Windows XP Pro OEM OS, according to the instructions in the VMWare beginner. Are there effective workaround for this problem? If not, what should I do to fix the facilities failed? How would I go about installing the new version license retail Windows XP Pro on the PC of the client without having to (re) install all my windows programs and files? Any assistance at all, would be most appreciated. Water-treading start to fail, HELP!  Thank you all.

For many years I have dealt with Window XP on a daily basis however I don't remember there being an option to upgrade an OEM installation on-site with a retail facility, so I can't answer explicitly.  Might be better to answer this question by Microsoft or the Microsoft forums.

If I had to test it and I didn't have a ghost of the physical HARD Disk Image to recover from then I'd probably use vmware-rawdiscCreator to temporarily access the physical HARD disk as a raw disk hard can use vmware-diskmanager for a hard normal file based on it.  This does not change the original physical HDD.  Then I would make a virtual computer by using the new normal file based hard and then run the CD at retail, or the ISO Image of it and try to do a repair installation.  If everything works you have then a retail install with your applications and data intact user.  Once again but without really trying, I can only say that's what I would try if in this position.

  • Can I use my copy of Vista Business upgrade retail a computer with Windows XP Pro?

    Upgrade/license transfer

I have purchase Windows 7 business plan and upgrade my Vista Business retail version to Windows 7 Pro.  Can I use my copy of Vista Business upgrade retail a computer with Windows XP Pro?

If you use the license professional Vista as the operating system with a Windows 7 Pro upgrade license then no, you can't continue with Business.

If you use a copy of the licence of right (standard retail) Windows 7 Pro then Yes, you can reuse the company to upgrade XP.

Upgrade license replaces the license qualify you for the upgrade license.  That's why the price is reduced from the price of a copy of the full license.  In this case, a license of Windows 7 Upgrade binding Vista Business license to the Windows 7 Pro license and operating permits would be free not to use it elsewhere.

How install Windows 7 Pro has no importance.  If you use an installation upgrade or new installation method, what matters is the license of Windows 7, to level or standard (full).

Buy a copy of the full license of Windows 7 Pro to do what you are suggesting.

  • Dell optiplex 745 with Windows 7 Pro

I just bought a Dell Optiplex 745 refurbished with Windows 7 Pro.  It came with a HP Windows 7 Pro re install the disc and when I'm asked them thereon, they stated that a re HP install disk is identical to a Dell disk.  Is this true and if not what problems it will create if I have to re install Windows 7.

They are the two Windows 7, one that said you is accurate, but there are also significant differences.  Dell Media is intended to be installed on a Dell computer and activate automatically, without the need for manual entry of the product key.  HP is designed to do the same... on a HP machine.  There is a good chance that he would not accept the Dell product key either... even if she have installed successfully.  In addition, most of the OEM media even install on other than a machine correspondent (HP discs usually install on Dell, not vice versa).
